Chapter Cain
Aria didn't bother calling Marcus as soon as she woke up, she ran to him. Milean hummed the whole way, pleased that they were going to see their mate and also pleased that they were the moon goddesses chosen one. When she pounded on the door she thought she smelt a strange scent but brushed it off when her mate opened the door several moments later. Aria got a strange feeling as her wolf whimpered, wanting to back away from her mate trying to tell her something was wrong. Her mate was wearing a blanket, that pulled over his head hiding his face from view, although she could smell him it wasn't as strong as it normally was which set Aria on edge even more. She immediately forced herself to put on a relaxed face and smiled up at her mate,
"Marcus! I was wondering if your mate was around, and if not, if you wanted company I know how lonely being an alpha can be." She tried to play her part as convincing as possible, letting her voice drip with that of a single female wolf who wanted male company. She decided that it would be dangerous to give her real identity away to this strange man that was in her mates home, she had no idea who they were but they gave her a bad vibe. The figure said nothing only stepped aside, hopefully buying her placate. Do they really think they are being convincing? She thought with anger as she stepped inside his house, turning as soon as she was through and slamming the figure into the wall. She yanked the blanket down and was met with a snarl as the figure threw her back against the wall. She stumbled back a few steps at his strength but his strength wasn't enough to push her into the wall. She and Milean had been right, this wasn't her mate it was a rogue. He smirked at her as she took a fighting stance.
"Ahhhh you are a pretty one, Marcus should have marked you already." he tried to come closer but Aria let out a howl trying to warn Marcus of the intruder. The man only let out a laugh,
"He's out for a run darling, won't be back for a while. Just you and me." He let out another grin and Aria attacked. She slammed his head into the wall creating a dent as she punched him in the gut before putting her forearm across his neck and pushing.
"How did you even get on his land? What do you want with us rogue?" Her voice was dripping with menace and her alpha tone but the man only laughed before putting one of his hands on her hip sliding it up slowly. She snarled and grabbed his hand and bent it backwards breaking it with a loud snap. The figure didn't even let out a scream but grabbed her so suddenly and tossed her through Marcus's door with ease. She landed on the porch and slid across it, the splinters from the door digging into her back as she watched the man lean against the doorway a dark look on his face. He held up his broken wrist and shook it at Aria angrily,
"Now look what you've done, I'll have to punish you for that." Aria let out a snarl so loud that even the man hesitated before she pushed herself up off the ground ignoring the pain in her back as the wounds tried to heal themselves with the wood still in her back.
"You DARE threaten me?!" She felt the wind pick up slightly around her and smiled despite herself. She probably looked crazy to this rouge and she was enjoying it. But that feeling quickly dissipated as the man crossed in front of her so quickly she was almost thrown off balance. He picked her up before she knew what was happening and threw her across the yard, snorting as she hit a rock with her head and felt a sharp crack. Her head spun and she smelt blood but she managed to stagger to her feet once more. Anger bubbled in her veins as the man approached her once again, watching her silently. She wasted no time in attacking him again, calling on Milean who was more than ready to kill the intruder. The man kneed her in the gut painfully and she felt the air leave her lungs as she twisted and landed a hard punch on his jaw. The man's eyes darkened more and he gripped her by the throat suddenly lifting her in the air squeezing it hard. She kicked out at him but he only stared at her, his face neutral as he watched her almost curiously while she struggled. She thought she heard a familiar growl, but she was to close to blacking out to be sure if it was her mate. The anger filled her once more and turned to an almost burning feeling as a white hot surged through her veins, but it didn't hurt her it hummed within her and the man had no idea what was coming. She closed her eyes, embracing the feeling hoping that it would make her fly out of his grasp but it did so much more than that. The white hot hummed so loud that it filled her ears and then she felt the air around her crackle. The energy gathered to where Aria could hardly stand it and then she released it all into the air above her where it gathered in a ball of lighting. The man seemed to sense it and his grasp on her throat lessened on her a little and she let out a cruel smile before directing the energy at the man. It shot out with a speed so fast that she didn't see it hit the man but she felt it. It hummed when it passed into her and the man dropped her where she landed in a crouch, staring at the man as he shook. She could sense the energy within him and gripped his jaw forcing her to look him in the eyes,
"Remember that my name is Alpha Aria of Full Moon pack and I am the moon goddesses chosen one. I will lead my pack and my mates pack to victory against your army of rogues and we will slaughter you all." Her voice was so cold and powerful that the man's eyes widened despite his body shaking from the energy. Then she heard the scream.
"CAINNNNN!"
