Alpha's Human Luna

Chapter 3

Neme assists me in getting out of bed by supporting a portion of my weight on her shoulders.

I remain immobile for a few seconds, anticipating that I would be forced to kneel. With trepidation, I take a step forward.

As I walk more steps, my legs get stronger and more capable of supporting my weight. I get out of bed and take a few laps around the room to gather my bearings. I'm not a slow learner.

"I'm completely lost!"

"Can you tell me how long I've been sleeping?"

"The first time you awakened was soon after we arrived, and you had been sleeping for four days at that point. "Neme explains.

"Can you tell me how we got here? What brought you here in the first place? When we hit the ground, you were bleeding profusely from your head!"

"I was on the verge of collapsing. "They did, in fact, save us from the depths of hell. When the fuel tank made contact with the engine, my car caught fire. " "They came to our rescue."

I lift my hands to my head,.

"Were we in the car when it caught fire?" I enquire.

"No, after they let us out."

"How's your neck?" I point to it. Neme blushed.

I am shocked by her.

We share a few minutes of quiet. Neme looks guilty at me, "Let's get you something to eat. You're undoubtedly hungry."

I notice my stomach is empty.

I gingerly stand up and head to my room.

Neme begins cooking sausage while cutting onions. The sound of boots stomping on the floor fills the kitchen a few seconds after the men arrive. "It's sausage,"

I take a quick glance at the guy in front of me, seeking signs of danger.

I cast a perplexed gaze across the table towards Neme. She continues to twirl the slices, her cheeks flushed. I put all of my attention on him.

He hasn't been fazed by my vileness. As he approaches me, he offers his hand for a handshake.

"My name is Hunter, and your name is Susan. Everyone is gushing about how wonderful you are."

Hunter laughs and turns to face Neme, who is looking at him. What exactly is going on with those two? There is a lot of tension, and I assume it is sexual tension.

My mouth falls open. Normally, I'd expect Neme to snap at him for calling her that, but she just smiles and rolls her eyes as her blush intensifies.

"He came to our rescue."

"You were blushing," I say, completely taken aback.

Her smile spreads over her face as she touches my shoulder.

I scoff.

"I remembered you talked about two guys saving us. Can you tell me who he was? I'd want to know more."

Neme shrugs.

"Thank you, Hunter and David, for saving us."

I giggle and try to keep my lips sealed.

"I don't care who saved us, but I only wanted to go home."

Neme seemed to be adamant about staying, but I am not. Maybe I can persuade her to alter her mind later.

When there are only two of us, I asked,

"Go with me, were not staying here." My voice is trembling as I query.

Curiosity makes me withdraw my hand away from hers. As she reaches the front door, Neme bites the inside of her bottom lip.

"It's not possible."

The boiling point of my rage has been reached.

"Living in this home, Neme, would be somewhat confined. I don't want to be here, but I also don't want to abandon you. It's ludicrous that I'm unable to leave because of some unenforceable rule." Neme sighs, her blue eyes downcast, and she doesn't say a word to me. My hands grab for my hair, and I moan with astonishment.

"Did you have something with him? I asked her.

"Are you saying you're not going to answer?"

Across the room, Hunter has his brow raised in skepticism as he observes. He looks away from Neme then and towards me.

"I need to talk with Neme for a few minutes." Hunter interrupts.

Neme raises her eyes to the sky and walks up to Hunter. I groan and open the door to my bedroom.

My almost-empty room fills me with dread. Because Hunter would only be talking to Neme for a few minutes, I decide to do something else while he is talking.

Left of the dresser is a bathroom with a toilet and a sink. The obvious wealth in this bathroom does not leave you disappointed.

When I look in the mirror, I get a shiver up my spine. My hair is messed up, and my eyes are bleak.

I'm in desperate need of a shower.

I go into the bathroom, leaving my garments scattered around, and let the warm water flow over my bare body.

Having a shower head that is suspended from the ceiling is a unique experience.

It takes me the longest shower of my life to wash dirt and dried blood off my body, which I do repeatedly. As I rinse off the suds from my hair, the water becomes more frigid.

The shower door closed, a towel wrapped around my body, and my hair wrapped up in a bun. The vapor from the lengthy shower seemed to fill the whole room.

Just as the sky was beginning to darken, Neme walked into my room and said to me that dinner is ready.

It takes me by surprise how large the dining room is. Although the large dining table is crammed with strangers, one chair remains unfilled. Only a few seats remain near Hunter, the ones closest to the huge chair. As Neme approached Hunter, I trailed right behind her.

As I pass past, I can feel the heated gazes of passersby on me. I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me feel a little nervous.
