Alpha´s curvy bullied human mate

Chapter 5: Uninvited

Chapter 5: The Dinner

Penelope

My brothers and I had a fun day, but they started acting strange as the time for my date approached.

They knew Nicholas; he was a normal guy, but I found him very attractive. We were just starting to date, nothing serious.

"I heard a noise outside. I think it must be the wolves. Did you leave out food for them like I told you?" I asked the twins, but they were extremely quiet and nervous.

"I'll go check," I said.

"Penny... maybe you should put a robe over your..." Luke said, looking at my clothes. I had on small shorts and a blouse. Maybe it was a little revealing. I heard a growl near the door.

"Damn, they must be starving," I said, grabbing a robe and carrying some leftovers outside. I saw some footsteps, but nothing else.

I wore the red velvet dress Marianne had mentioned. As I thought, it accentuated my curves.

"You look... good," my brothers said worriedly. What was wrong with them?

I had my blonde hair pulled to the side, and a red lipstick on. As I put on my coat, I gave them my final recommendations.

"Well... Nicholas should be here soon. I hope to be back early," I told them. With Nicholas, I had not yet reached the stage of .... sleeping together.

I heard a honk. "Oh, it must be him!" I said happily, getting out. As I opened the car door, I thought I saw a wolf's eyes and heard a growl in the dark.

"Hi Penny...you look beautiful," Nicholas said, kissing me on the cheek.

"Thanks, you look great too," I replied.

He was a tall, muscular man with light brown hair. He was funny and made me laugh, but sometimes he said things without thinking them through. I thought he was a good catch, and sometimes I wondered what he was doing with a girl like me. A lot had happened, and I... I still thought a little too little of myself.

I thought he could get any woman he wanted, but he kept asking me out, so that had to mean something, right?

We went to a restaurant in a nearby town. When I took off my coat, I could feel his eyes all over my body.

Normally I didn't think of myself as a very attractive woman, and now I didn't know what to do with the look he was giving me.

"It's really nice here, Nicholas. Thank you."

"You told me you've been working so hard these days, so I thought you deserved a nice date."

I listened to his stories and laughed out loud. Nicholas usually talked a lot about himself and asked a few questions about my life and how I was doing. But at that moment, it helped me to think about something else.

"You look really sexy today...." he said, taking my hand and kissing it. I could see he was looking at my cleavage, and I felt nervous.

I had to say... I didn't like that he had his eyes on that part of my body all night.

I foolishly tried to cover up, when suddenly I heard someone clear their throat... and I felt myself turn pale as he stood in front of our table. It was none other than Nate. What the hell?

"Penelope, good to see you," he said in a loud, husky voice.

He had his fists clenched tightly. I lifted my eyes to look at him, unable to help myself. Nate was wearing only a T-shirt and jeans... But he looked like he'd stepped off a runway. "Nathaniel... What are you doing here?" I asked in surprise.

I had watched him hold his breath when I mentioned his name; so far, I had practically skipped naming him.

"And who are you?" asked Nicholas, looking up at the stunningly handsome man who had spoken to me. I had no idea what Nate was going to say, so I cut in instead.

"He's an acquaintance from where I used to live," I said nervously.

"I was more than an acquaintance....." he said. I looked at him, horrified.

But I realized that something even stranger was going on: behind my former Alpha were none other than my brothers.

Luke and Luther had embarrassed looks on their faces, like they didn't want to be there. I didn't understand what was going on, I had explicitly told them not to come out; they were of age, but they usually paid attention to me. "What are you doing here?" I asked. Now, Nate answered.

"I... I was in the mood to eat somewhere else, and your brothers were thoughtful enough to recommend this place," he said.

The twins didn't know about this place... so there was only one reason to come here: because my date was here.

"Oh, Luke and Luther! My dear Penny won't stop talking about you and your father," Nicholas said with a big smile, looking at my brothers while not letting go of my hand. I could see that Nate's eyes were now resting on our hands together. "Hello... nice to meet you," they said nervously at the same time, casting furtive glances at their Alpha.

"Gentlemen... this way..." the waiter said and placed them... right next to us.

Everything that could go wrong, was going wrong.

"Well, it looks like we have company," Nicholas said. I was about to suggest that we move somewhere else when the waiter brought our food.

I could see Nate calmly ordering several plates, while my brothers looked as if they wanted the earth to swallow them. I wished the earth would swallow the three of them together.

I had the impression that they didn't want to be here and that Nate was forcing them... but to what end?

"Where were we? Ah yes! I was telling you that you looked wonderful today. I always love that you make a big effort to look your best, and I think it's very important that a woman knows how to dress, you know? How to bring out her best features....." Nicholas said, and I could hear a growl next to me that scared me.

We both turn to the next table, and I see that Nate is looking at the menu. His mouth is practically shaking. The twins looked anxious.

"Sorry, it was me. I'm starving, and my stomach is growling! You know, I'm in a growth spurt!" Luke said, clearly nervous. How could he say such a thing?

"It was me, too! We usually do everything the same way, you know? Twins!" Luther added to the awkwardness with a forced laugh. I look at them in disbelief.

"Guys! What are people going to think, that I don't take good care of you and starve you? You just ate a few hours ago!" I whispered to them, annoyed. They looked stressed, shaking their heads frantically.

"Of course not!"

"Your cooking is delicious, sis!"

"Yes, really wonderful, I've never tasted anything like your food!" They started talking over themselves, one after the other, while I just stared at them. I had practically forgotten my dinner as I watched the circus unfold around me. Nate and Nicholas were both staring at me. When their food arrived, my brothers wolfed them down like there was no tomorrow.

"Is that true, dear?" asked Nicholas with a smile.

I always thought he liked me in some way, but after this strange date, he seemed more interested in me than before. "Well... I do my best..."

"You should cook something for me... preferably breakfast," he said quietly, intending only for me to hear him. But he had no idea that he was seated next to three werewolves with very good hearing.

Out of nowhere, I heard glass shattering. When I turned around, there were pieces of broken glass next to Nate. The waiter came over and quickly cleaned up the mess.

The rest of the night passed between Nicholas dropping me hints, staring too much at my cleavage, and telling me all about his life, with virtually no time for me to talk.

Oh, there was also Nate snarling and making comments about my past and how much we know each other, implying that he's much more aware of our conversation than he should be.

My brothers ate everything in front of them in silence, looking from one side of the table to the other as if watching a game of ping pong.

The torture came to an end. I didn't even ask for dessert. I just wanted to go home. When Nicholas dropped me off, he glanced at me with a seductive look.

"I had a rather strange, but very interesting night," he says and leans in for a kiss, pulling me close, taking my arms, and running his hand down my bare back.

It wasn't a sweet kiss. It was possessive. He'd never kissed me like this before. I heard a commotion in the distance, but I continued the kiss, pulling away when I got the impression that he wanted something more. I said goodbye and went in. I slammed the door and sat on the couch, angrily waiting for my brothers to arrive. The poor twins came in with their heads down, knowing what they were in for.

"Can you explain to me what the hell was that?!" I lashed out at them.

"I work my ass off every day! I'm just asking for a moment of peace and some fun! I specifically told you to stay here! And what do I get?!"

"Dumb and Dumber crashed my dinner, right in the middle of my date, with their nasty Alpha of all people!" I yelled at them. They looked remorseful.

"Sorry, we..." Luke began to speak, then went silent.

"You what?" I asked and heard another voice.

"It was me... it was my fault."
