Chapter Telling the truth
Loving him is a sin; of that I am fully aware~ Celine's POV:
3 AM... The clock struck again and I pushed the floor with my hands to help me get up. My back ached so badly and I winced when the swelling on my knee due to cold hurt me again.
But all in well, I was done with the cleaning and if Luna Lorraine would try to find a particle of dust with a huge magnifying glass then she would certainly not find anything.
The dining table was set, curtains cleaned and dried up, the floor shining, the cabinets rearranged and the sheets changed in the rooms.
I was exhausted and it wasn't because I had been cleaning and scrubbing the tiles but due to the fact that I had travelled miles away from my pack and hadn't gotten to sleep even for a minute.
It was definitely weird but I did the more work than this in my pack daily without a rest for a single day. And the dreadful thought of doing everything all over again the next day like a job.
My stomach growled from hunger but I didn't have anything to eat. I had checked everything out and was able to find some butter and cheese. But no other groceries.
I stared at the ceiling above and tears welled up in my eyes. I turned to sleep on my left side and gulped the knot forming in my throat. My heart felt so heavy and full of sadness.
No one thought about giving me a basic bread to eat.
No one wanted me here.
'Why am I here Moon Goddess? Why don't you kill me?!
My eye lids felt so heavy and my vision went blurry. The night had grown darker and quieter by now.
'You're my special child. ' A soothing voice spoke to me but I couldn't open my eyes. I could feel a bright light around me but it all seemed like lucid dreaming. Even when someone touched my hair and wiped my tears off. Something made a loud noise outside and I rubbed my eyes as a yawn escaped my lips. It was dark outside and confusion dawned over my senses. I got up from the bed and felt that the aches were gone and I was feeling much better now. I checked outside my window but it was a small kitten hiding behind a huge vase. It was scared of me and I calmly patted it's head. It finally relaxed and ran into my lap.
"Are you scared, polly? "I kissed her head.
She meowed and hid her face in my neck. I took her in and saw that it was 9 PM at night.
I slept the whole day! And didn't even wake up once.
The hunger was still pestering me but with no option I decided to sleep again. The kitten joined me in bed and slept by my side too.
The next morning, I woke up at 10 AM. My stomach hurt as if I was punched hundred times and my mouth was dried and tasted if nothing. I had to eat something to keep me alive. Even if Alpha Tyrion hated me with all his will, I wouldn't starve to death.
My kitten had been supporting me since the time she had joined me.
"Do you want to eat something?" I asked her.
I rechecked the cabinets and shelves, hoping to find something to eat which I could have missed the first time.
But it wasn't magic. If there was nothing, there won't be anything now too.
'Shift and hunt in the wild.' Belinay announced.
I would have done that only if I was strong enough to fight the rogues and not get in trouble again. But my wolf had the habit of living in a delusional world where she called herself a very trained warrior without any training.
So, I went against her and tried to search for the food outside the chambers. There was a small garden which I had seen on my way here and I had seen some fruits too.
'Turn into werecow then. Because that's not how wolves survive in the wild. ' Belinay mocked me again.
I plucked the tomatoes and potatoes happily and ran back to the chambers. The stove was old fashioned and I couldn't light it for more than five minutes but then I realized there was a knob which I had to turn. I put the pan on the flame and fried the potatoes to light brown.
Kitten had gone to eat something outside. She was habitual of living in the wild as compared to me.
I filled a glass of water and laid the dining table. The first bite felt like heaven to me and I finished everything in just two minutes.
'See, it was so tasty.'
'For dinner, why don't you cook some grass?' Belinay was angry.
I had unpacked my bags and arranged them in the closet. So, I immediately went ahead and took a shower.
I wore a yellow gown and dried my hair with the help of towel. After letting my hair open on my back, I checked my reflection in the mirror. I looked good and the sparkle of happiness was back in my eyes. If that's what Alpha Tyrion had planned for me then I was quite happy.
I went downstairs to clean the dishes and froze in my steps when I saw Alpha Tyrion standing in the doorway watching everything with wide eyes. He scanned the place carefully and his eyes settled on me.
My cheeks flushed with embarrassment when his stare lingered for too long on my body. A little frown was formed on his forehead and he looked away from me only when I had cleared my throat. "Good morning, Alpha. " I said.
He nodded and still looked around himself.
"Did you clean it yourself?" He asked.
"Yes, I was bored and there was no food so... "I bit my lip and stopped talking.
"I brought you groceries. Did you eat anything?"
"Yes, there were vegetables in the garden. I didn't face any problem at all. "
Belinay wanted to shift and kill me at this moment because of the way I was reacting. But I couldn't risk making him angry when he was in a good mood.
I noticed the dark circles around his eyes and he looked like he hadn't slept for a few nights.
"Did you talk to Miss Ava about your child?" I asked and my heart thumped in my chest. " She loves you and she will never..."
"She was marked today by another man. It's over between us." He interfered.
It was like a punch was landed on my chest because he growled after telling me about her. He was angry, hurt and in pain.
I walked closer to him. He was rubbing his forehead as in a way to calm himself down.
"Shall I make breakfast for you?" I whispered and saw him clenching his jaw, " I mean I cook delicious food. I promise you will like it."
I thought he would hit me when he lifted his hand and I flinched. But he was pointing at the kitchen and the groceries.
I didn't waste any time and ran to cook something for him. I decided to make bacon and egg, simple and tasty. All the time, my attention was on Alpha Tyrion who was just sitting on the same chair and hadn't even looked up. He was lost deep in his thoughts and smashed a vase on the floor angrily.
My hands shook when I served him breakfast and stood at a distance. He took a bite, then two and I knew he loved it.
"Was it good?" I asked.
He closed his eyes. And his hand was on his head again.
"Maybe you should sleep. The headache will vanish. "I said and he stared at me, " I promise..."
It was as if he was so lost that he listened to everything I said. Surprisingly, he followed me to the room. I covered him with a blanket and drew the curtains.
I sat on the chair beside the bed. I should just tell him now. He wasn't cruel or a tyrant who had tortured me.
"I was an orphan when my father took me with him. He hit me, punched me and called me names. Growing up, I never thought I would find anyone. But I wanted a family. I didn't know that man is so vile that he conspired against you. I never intended to be here. My father made me go into heat and spiked you'd drink. If you still hate me then please let me go."
I waited for an answer from him. But there was just silence.
"Alpha... Alpha "I glanced at him and found out he was snoring peacefully.
