Chapter Desperate Hunt
Alpha Tyrion's POV:
'She had promised to not go anywhere without telling me. 'I told Sabre who was growing restless with each passing moment.
'Are you sure no one forced her to go anywhere with him?' He growled.
My fists clenched angrily and I snarled knowing who was behind all this. As the mated bond was marked between us, it was my responsibility to protect my mate, Celine, from any harm that may befall her. But now, as I searched frantically through the pack's territory, my suspicions weighed heavily on my mind.
Lycan Calle, he would be doing everything in his power to create distance between us. And he was back in the pack after going missing for more than two days. I should have known he would do something to her.
I knew he was capable of doing something to harm her. Every fiber of my being yearned to find her, to ensure her safety.
I made my way to his meeting hall because he had been trying to build protections around the kingdom for not letting anyone cross into the borders. But it was not just the protection reasons but he had been making walls to make us a prisoner here. Something which I would never let happen.
I looked for him in the meeting hall but he wasn't there. I walked to the training center which was quite empty. And there he was, Lycan Calle, lurking in the shadows, his presence a dark cloud over my mind.
Without a moment's hesitation, I confronted him violently, my teeth bared and muscles tense. "Where is she?" I growled, my voice laced with a primal fury. "What have you done to Celine?"
Lycan Calle's eyes widened in surprise, his expression reflecting genuine confusion. "I haven't seen Celine," he protested, his voice filled with frustration. "I've been searching for her too. I swear, Tyrion." Fu*ing liar! How could he not know about Celine when he always had his eyes on her?!
"Don't lie to me! I haven't seen her since last night! Where did you take her?"
He shook his head, "What? Celine hasn't been in her chamber since last night! Who could harm her?"
He was as shocked as me but there was nothing in my instinct which told me to trust this ash*le. Yet, he looked into my eyes without hesitation and I couldn't catch the scent of lies or fear.
"There's no one who wants to harm her other than you! " I shouted.
"I am not wasting my time with you here. I am going to find her. She needs me...." He said, looking at me.
My grip tightened around his throat as anger flew through me. "If anything happens to her, I will burn your whole kingdom to the ground," I snarled, my words dripping with a deadly promise. "Stay away from my mate."
Releasing my hold on Calle, I turned away, my mind racing. Celine couldn't have simply vanished. I scoured every corner of the pack's territory, questioning the maids and any pack members I crossed paths with. But they all shook their heads, clueless about Celine's whereabouts.
"Where the fu*k were you? Huh? I have told you to keep an eye on her!"
I heard Calle scolding a maid who was trembling with fear. I wanted to punch him on his stupid mouth but there was the more important thing which was to find Celine. I would talk to him later about the way he had crossed boundaries with my mate.
'Ask the Queen. She's her aunt, she must know if she's gone somewhere.'

Frustration bubbled within me as I approached Queen Emerald, Celine's aunt, "Have you seen Celine?" I demanded, my voice filled with worry.
The queen's face mirrored my concern. "I haven't seen her either, Tyrion," she replied with genuine worry reflecting on her features. "I've been looking for her everywhere. Perhaps she left to search for her mother."
My heart sank. I had explicitly told Celine to never go out alone, to always stay by my side. She knew the dangers that lurked beyond and in the territory, and her safety was my utmost priority. This sudden disappearance defied all reason, leaving me grasping at straws.
Filled with a mix of desperation and anger, I shifted into my wolf form, my fur bristling with anticipation. My senses sharpened, and I sprinted through the dense undergrowth, searching every nook and cranny of our territory. But try as I might, there was no sign of her, no trace of her scent lingering in the air.
'I can't catch her scent! She is nowhere around us.' Sabre said, as we aimlessly wandered into the woods.
'I am going to announce a war against Calle.'
Returning to the pack, frustration and fear swirled within me. I growled at anyone who dared to approach, my eyes scanning the crowd for any sign of Celine. Lycan Calle himself appeared worried, genuine concern etched into his features. It seemed that he was speaking the truth about not knowing Celine's whereabouts.
"I swear! If I can't find her by this evening, I am going to behead you! " I roared.
Calle ran his hand through his hair as he took a deep breath. The Queen was angry at him too and Maya walked closer to me.
"He didn't do anything this time. And maybe your girlfriend has something to do with her disappearance." She said, rolling her eyes.

I turned out to leave and found Ava was looking at me, " No, I didn't do it. I was with Kristian."
Frustration and anger was getting to my head because ugly haunting scenarios came to my mind. Did she really leave to search for her mother? Without me?
"She was worried about her mother. I think she must have gone to find the clues." Queen said again, touching my arm.
"But..."
And then, like a light coming from the shadows, Celine appeared. Dirt and blood stuck her beautiful face, shock and relief cast on the faces of all people. I rushed to her side, my worry transforming into overwhelming relief. "Celine, what happened?" I asked, my voice filled with concern.
But her eyes were as fierce as fire. It was as if something had shifted into her. She didn't look scared or hurt. But confident and looking like a warrior.
"Everything is fine now. Everything..." She said.
