Alpha Of Aberdeen

Chapter 4

I hurry back to where Amelia is still sitting at the table. “I have to go,” I whisper, then I grab my purse and take off toward the door.

“Chloe? Wait,” Amelia yells, following me. I don't stop and walk down the drive as fast as I can towards the street. I hear Amelia not far behind me and curse her werewolf speed. I try to walk more quickly, and I could try to run if it weren't for these damn heels. I know Amelia is my best friend, but I need to get away. I feel so confused right now. I can't stop wondering why I feel so drawn to this man. I don't know him, but I feel this pull between us.

Amelia grabs my arm and stops me in my tracks. “Chloe! Where are you going? What's wrong?” she asks, worried and confused.

“I need to leave,” I state, wanting to avoid the details.

“Chloe, what happened? Did he hurt you?” she asks. “I will fight the Alpha if I have to,” she growls, pissed.

“No, he didn't hurt me,” I stare down at my shaky hands then back at Amelia. “I need to think, and I can't do that here. Please let me go. I'll call you later, ok,” I tell her and start to walk away.

Her voice stops me once more. “Chloe? Do you want a ride home?” she asks. I can still sense the worry in her voice.

“No, the walk will be good for me,” I tell her, slipping off my stilettos and starting to walk down the street. I can feel Amelia's presence still standing there behind me, staring as I walk out of her view. The walk has me lost in my thoughts. What is happening to me? I've never lost control of myself over a man. Is it because he’s an Alpha? I question myself.

I pull out my key when I make it to my apartment and unlock the door. After closing it behind me, I throw my stilettos to the floor and walk to my room to change into my pajamas. Once I'm settled, I sit down on my bed and call Amelia. She answers on the second ring.

“Hey, Amelia, I made it home,” I say, knowing she would be worried if I didn't let her know.

"Hey, are you okay? You left so quickly. Did something happen?” she questions.

“I don't know what's going on with me, but that man makes me feel things that scare me,” I explain, then she gets quiet. “Amelia? are you not telling me something?” I inquire. She hesitates. “Amelia?!” My tone is desperate.

“No, Chloe,” she claims, but I could tell she didn't even believe herself, so, how could 1? I decided not to push her right now. “Call me tomorrow; I'm heading to bed. Have a goodnight with Paul,” I say, feigning ignorance.

"Ok, I love you Chloe, goodnight!” she says lovingly, then we hung up.

Everything was still running through my head while I laid in bed. I think about his touch, his dark eyes staring at me like I'm a goddess, and the desire he had in his eyes when he touched me. It was electrifying. I can feel my panties getting wet with only these few thoughts. I position myself and slide my hand into my panties, slowly touching myself. I moan as I push two fingers inside me, bringing them in and out slowly, then faster as I think about him being inside me and his large hands roaming over every inch of my body. When I climax, I cry out in pleasure and turn to my side with heavy breaths. I stand going to wash my hands then head back to my bed, laying my head back on the pillow and find myself falling fast asleep.

I am jolted awake by my phone buzzing, but don't look to see who it is. Instead, I get up and go to the kitchen to grab myself a glass of water. I take a drink then realize how late it is. Shit! How did I sleep for so long? I think to myself while I head to my closet to get dressed.

I pick out some white leggings with a peach crop top and pull my hair into a messy bun before slapping on some mascara. I grab my tote bag and put my laptop inside, then pick up my keys and walk out the door.

Once I'm in my car, my phone buzzes again. I take it out of my bag and see its Amelia. “Hello, Amelia!" I answer.

“Good morning, beautifull” she says lively. “What are you doing?” She asks.

“I'm heading to the coffee shop to study. What about you?” I reply. Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ Findɴovel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“Here at the packhouse with Paul, he is doing some Beta things for Malachi today, and I'm helping,” she says happily. “Hey, about last night, Malachi asked Paul to tell me to ask if you would like to go on a date with him tonight?” She says in a hopeful tone.

My mood instantly changes from happiness to dread. “Amelia, I don't think that's a good idea. He has plenty of girls after him. Why would he want me?” I question, trying to convince my friend this was a bad idea.

“I don't know, but he is insisting on getting to know you . What do you want me to tell him?” she asks.

“Tell him I'm busy with school,” I say, but I could tell she is hesitant to agree.

"Okay, but I don't think he is going to let this go. Just warning you, when Alphas want something, they get it,” she says.

I laugh at her statement and shake my head. “I just got to the coffee shop. I'll text you later.”

She laughs. “Okay, but don't say I didn't warn you.” I smirk and we hang up.

I grab my bag and head inside, taking a table closest to the window. Once I'm settled, I pull out my laptop to study. After reading through a couple of pages of my notes for the final, I hear the bell on the door chime, letting the barista know someone came in. I look out the corner of my eye to see a male figure standing next to me, so I look up, and there he stands with his brown eyes looking down at me.

“What are you doing here?” I ask in surprise.

“Paul told me you were too busy for a date, so I came to you,” Malachi says, shrugging his shoulders.

"What do you want from me?” I question him, my eyes narrowing before growing wide with my next question. "Wait, how did you even know where I am?” I asked, looking at him like he's a stalker.

He simply laughed while taking the seat across from me. “Your friend told Paul where to find you,” he says, but I barely make out his words. I'm too busy noticing how good he looks, and his smell makes my senses tingle. Instead of a tux, he's wearing a black t-shirt with jeans, which shows off more tattoos on his arms than the night before. I begin to wonder if his whole body is covered with them. Damn, he is sexy; how long can I deny how I feel about him. I think, fighting back the urge to moan at the thought of him naked.

When my eyes fall on his full lips, I get pulled back to reality, realizing he had been saying something. “I'm sorry. I got distracted. What did you say?" I ask, feeling my cheeks blush from embarrassment.

I meet his knowing gaze as he repeats himself. “Your friend's wedding will be in the next few weeks; would you be my date?” he asks again.

I mull over his question for a moment, enjoying the way he seems to be on the edge of his seat. “Maybe, but don't think this means something is to become of us,” I pronounce.

"Hey! I'll take what I can get,” he says with a grin before pushing back from the table. “I will let you finish your studies,” he says, standing from his seat. I watch his eyes look me up and down. “You look beautiful today by the way,” he says, taking my hand and lifting it to his mouth. I hold my breath when he presses a soft kiss to the back of my hand and meets my eyes. “I will see you soon, Luna,” he says and walks out of the coffee shop, leaving me speechless and wanting more of him.
