Alpha Bond

Chapter 13

Ella’s POV

With each intake of breath, a growl erupts from me. I can sense my vision shifting as Blaze is demanding to overtake and end this so-called questioning session.

“Look into my eyes when I ask you any question.” Ambrose brings his face near mine while I keep staring at the table in front of me. “I need answers, and you are not going anywhere until I don’t get those.”

He is using compulsion to get whatever information they want from me. He doesn’t know that no compulsion can work on me. But his constant attempts are increasing pressure on my mind causing a severe headache.

I don’t have any idea what he is trying to find out from me. He has asked me so many questions that I don’t even remember those. He wants to know who is working with me, how I trained myself to fight against the spells, and who helped me.

“Did someone send you here?” He asks in a deep voice. His voice laced with compulsion making me nauseous. “What are you trying to hide?”

I feel so furious not at all these questioning but Emerson. He has claimed that he trusts me. Suppose it’s true, then why he is letting me be questioned like this. I should not have believed him.

As soon as Emerson left, Ambrose showed up and told me to come for interrogation, informing me that Emerson had asked him to move along with the interrogation.

I only agreed because I thought once they were satisfied then they would not bother me.

“Are you freaking stupid?” Clenching my jaws, I close my eyes while exhaling through my nostrils, “You guys brought me here when I was unconscious.”

“So, I should be the one who should be asking you, did someone ask you to bring me here?” Raising my lips in a wicked smirk, I give some control to Blaze while I try to fight off this uneasiness.

“Ella, answer me what I am asking you.” Ambrose glares at me. “Don’t try to act smart with me, stupid girl.”

Ambrose looks nothing like the person I met yesterday for the first time. I am witnessing a completely different side of him which makes me want to skin him alive.

“It’s Alpha to you.” My voice comes out in a warning growl, “I demand respect and will not let anyone get away with disrespecting me.”

“You are nothing in front of me.” He bares his canines at me while pushing me away, “I will never respect or submit before a worthless female.”

“But I will definitely bend you over and make you submit to me while I will dominate your pretty little ass.” He smiles maliciously.

The dark emotions which have now become a part of me swirl inside me as Blaze comes forward and throws him against the opposite wall.

He growls and comes at me with lightning speed, momentarily surprising me. But even I am quick to dodge his attack and land a kick on his back.

When I notice he is shifting, I partially turn into my wolf and claw his chest causing his shift to stop. Not waiting for him to recover, I push him towards the ground and land a series of punches on his face.

His face turned bloodied, but still, I am not satisfied I want his submission. Standing up, I hold a handful of his hair and pull them harshly, making him look at me.

“Never underestimate me or any other female because females are not worthless.” I growl at him feeling nothing but hatred, “Some of us may not be as strong as you, but challenge us, then we will show you what kind of strength we have.”

I want to rip him into pieces with my bare hands, and this urge is driving me crazy. It is so difficult to get hold of these feelings, but I somehow manage to control my dark emotions.

“What the hell is going on here?” Prune enters the room and growls at me.

“Nothing, you forgot to teach your dog how he should talk to a female and an Alpha. I am just doing your job to teach him some respect.” Grabbing the back of Ambrose’s neck, I force him to get on his knees while keeping his head bow in front of me.

“If next time you think about insulting me, I will not be so lenient with you.” Pushing him on the ground, I look down at him while crossing my arms over my chest.

Surprisingly, his gaze falls to the ground as he nods his head. But I don’t trust this piece of shit to let my guard down. Blaze agrees with me while lowly growling in my mind.

Prune orders him to leave the room, and he motions me to follow him to his office.

“Mr. Burton, I don’t know why you people don’t believe me even though I have shared everything with you truthfully from the beginning.” My steely gaze meets Prune as soon as we enter his office, “I am sure by now you have already found out everything about me. And you must know why no spell works on me.” I give him a pointed look, already sensing he knows about my gifts.

He nods his head, confirming my thought.

“Then I want to know why the hell I was subjected to such treatment.” I could barely contain my anger because he allowed that prick to interrogate me even after knowing who I was.

“We couldn’t just let you go just because of who you are,” He replies calmly, “But now you are free to go.” Walking towards the window, he stares outside, keeping his back to me.

His words angered me more if that were even possible. But I keep my calm because I don’t want to stay here any longer after finding Oliver’s truth.

“And what about the people who have been brought here with me?” I ask because I can’t leave them here with these Guardians.

“Not all of them are allowed to leave the campus. I haven’t cleared everyone of them yet.” He shakes his head and turns to look at me with furrowed brows.

Campus?

“Those people are my responsibility, and I want them to be released and send their home,” I demand, not bothering to ask what’s is this campus. “They have already suffered at the hand of that sick person, and I will not let them suffer anymore.”

“We are not hurting them. We just need to make sure that every one of them is innocent.” He looks appalled, the dent between his eyebrows deepen, “We are doing this for the safety of everyone. We are not the monsters which you presume us to be.”

There is something about him that seems off, and I never ignore my gut feelings. I don’t trust his words, so I have to play smartly.

“Okay, I take your word, but I want to meet them, and if I found out that they are being tortured in any way.” I give him my warning glare, “Then you will have a lot to answer. And one thing you should know about me, I have been taught to protect and fight for my people, and I will not spare anyone who hurt any innocent soul. No matter who they are.”

He clenches his jaws, clearly offended by my threat, but chooses to remain silent.

“I will call my pack and inform them about my whereabouts.” I pick up the receiver of his office phone and dial Dad’s office number, not waiting for his permission.

I smile at his pissed-off expression. He might be a Superior, but I am Ella. He should know by now that I am the one who runs the show.

Tears prick my eyes as soon as I hear my dad’s gruff voice from the other side. Momentarily, ignoring the fuming Prune, I focus on the voice, which brings a sense of comfort to me.

It feels like it’s been ages since I heard my dad’s voice.

“Ella.” There is not even a hint of doubt in dad’s voice when he says my name. It is like he knows it’s me even before I say a word.

“Guess, what dad, where I am?” I lightly laugh as my voice slightly wavers, feeling overwhelmed because I miss my family. Especially my dad.
