Julian's POV Things are finally calming down. The Vampire King left yesterday and we haven't had any more attacks. I felt like I could breathe for the moment. I had a very important question to ask Nicki. I know that she was technically already my Luna since marked her but I wanted to ask her and I wanted to see if she would also marry me. I know that it was something that we didn't normally do but I wanted to. I wanted her in every way possible. “Zion, you got any ideas on how we can ask her?" I linked my wolf. “Well there's always at a restaurant or in front of the pack or I am not sure." He linked back. “Those are cliche, I want something different. I want it to be the two of us only” “Let me think” He said and cut the link. I needed to go find a ring now. I had an idea of what I wanted. “Luca, you got anything going on today?” I mind-linked him. “Nothing pressing. What's up?” He replied back. “Want to go shopping with me?” “rm not the shopping type, but thanks." “I am going ring shopping” “Oh shit! That's big. Ya, I want to go" “OK meet me in an hour” I cut our link and headed to the shower. I stepped in and quickly got clean and got out and threw on some clean clothes. I was hoping to sneak out of there before she woke up. I walked to our little kitchenette and wrote her a note letting her know that I had some errands to run and that I wanted to take her out on a date tonight and that I would pick her up at six. I put the note on the table where she would find it and left our room. I headed downstairs and Luca was waiting for me. We didn't say anything to each other and headed to the garage. I grabbed a set of keys and unlocked a truck. We hopped in and backed up out of the garage. “So you're going to ask her to marry you?” Luca asked. “Yes, and I am also going to ask her to be my Luna. I know marriage isn't something that we normally do but I want to tie myself to her in every way I physically can.” “I can understand that. I want to get one for Lauren also." He said looking over at me. “I thought you might. That was one of the reasons I asked you to come along. I also want your opinion on the ring” “What are you thinking?" He asked me. “I want something with an emerald in it to match her eyes. What about you?” I asked him. “Well, Lauren is a little bit of a flashy type so something large.” He said laughing. It didn't take us long to get to the jewelry store, as we were pulling up. I was really hoping that they would have something I wanted because I wanted to ask her tonight. We got out and walked in. “Hello gentleman, how can I help you?" Asked the old man behind the counter. “We are looking for a couple of rings; I said “OH, Alpha I didn't realize it was you and Beta Luca. Are we perhaps looking for an engagement ring or a Luna ring?" He asked wiggling his eyebrows at us. “Well, both actually,” I told him. “Anything in particular you want?” He asked “I am looking for something flashy," Luca said. “Come this way." He said as he led him to a case of jewelry. Luca walked over and started looking at the rings. “Alpha how about you? Anything in mind?" “I am hoping that you have something with emeralds in it. My mate has the most amazing emerald eyes and I want something to match that” “I have a few” He said and motioned for me to follow him. We walked over to another case of rings and he pulled out a few fake fingers that had rings on them. There were three different rings that had emeralds on them. The first one had a large emerald with small diamonds on each side. It wasn't the one. I picked up the next one and it was the opposite of the first one. A large diamond with emeralds down the side. I handed it back to him and he handed me the third one and it took my breath away. It was perfect. It had a heart shape diamond on the top and the band had emeralds and diamonds on it, every other one. “I will take this one? I said and handed it back to him. “Luca, did you find one?” I asked him and walked over to him. “Well I have it down to two, what do you think?” He asked me. I was looking at both of them and wasn't sure what to think. One was so godly and ugly. It was almost cheesy looking. The other one wasn't horrible. “I like this one,” I told him pointing at the smaller of the two. “Me too, I will get it” He said with a huge grin on his face. We paid for our rings and headed out of the store. We walked out to the car and got in. “I need to make another stop,” I told him. “Where are we going now?” “Flower shop” We didn't talk on the way to the flower shop. I think I had finally figured out how I wanted to ask her. “Zion, what do you think? Candle-lit dinner at Luciano's and then we are going to take a drive up to the mountains where I will have a little dance floor set up and a little bed for star gazing, twinkle lights, music, and flowers. After a dance get down on one knee?" “That sounds perfect but instead of going to dinner, why don't you have dinner brought out there and have a table set up.” “ like that even better. I am going to have to get some help.” He cut the link as we were at the flower shop. We went in and I ordered all of the flowers that I wanted and then we left. “Do you know how you are going to ask Lauren?” I asked Luca. “No, but I have some time. I wasn't going to ask her until the six month mark. That's why I want you to hold onto the ring for me.” “Ya, you can put it in my office,” I told him. Several hours later and a lot of work and help from people everything was set to go. I had gone into our room earlier that day and grabbed clothes so I could get ready in Luca's room. I was trying to not see Nicki all day, and so far I have been able to do that. I ran up to Luca's room and knocked on the door. “Hello, Alpha,” Lauren said as she opened the door. “Hello, I am here to use your shower I told her and that's when Luca came out of their bedroom. “Hey man, you know where it is” He said and I stepped in. I got my shower in and got all ready for this. I was starting to get nervous. “Zion, we need to calm down” I linked my wolf. “I don't know why you're nervous, you know that she will say yes. She wears your mark” “I know that but I want it to be special. I want her to feel how much we love her” “she will, she is our second chance mate.” I cut our link because he wasn't helping. He was just so sure of everything. I was ready so I left their room with a whistle fron Luca. I ran to the kitchen where I stashed her flowers and grabbed them and headed to our room. I got to our door and took a big breath before I knocked on the door. I could hear her moving through the room and heading towarddoorway the door. She pulled it open gently and she knocked my socks off with how she looked tonight. she had on this deep dark green tight dress that had thin straps and was short and showed some cleavage. She also had on a pair of heels but was still shorter than me. “Wow, you look amazing!" I told her as she stood in the door way. “Why are you knocking this is your room.” “I want it to be like a real date” She just laughed and it was music to my ears. I could listen to her laugh every day of my life. “These are for you,candle-lit” I said handing her the flowers. “They are beautiful” She said as she walked into our room and found a vase under the sink and placed the flowers in it. “Are you ready?” I asked her. She came over and took my hand and we left our room. She didn’t say much on the way to our destination. I pulled up and went around to open her door. I reached my hand in to help her out. “Where are you taking me?” She asked as we started down a candle lit path. “You will see. It isn't that far" We walked for a few minutes and came around a corner and that is where everything was set up. We had a table with candle and twinkle lights that had been strung up everywhere. Music was playing, and there were white and green flowers everywhere. I led her to the table and pulled out her chair, but she didn't sit down. She threw her arms around me and gentl kissed my lips. “Will you dance with me first?” She asked as soon as she pulled back from the kiss. “Of course, anything for you my angel” We stepped away from the table and started to dance to the slow song that came on. This was it. I wanted to do this now. I couldn't wait any longer or I might burst. I waited until the song was over and then I leaned in and kissed her again. “I love you so much, Nicki I told her with a big smile on my face. “I love you too and this is so romantic. She said. I stepped back and kept a hold of her hand. I let my eyes roam over her body for just a minute before I dropped to my knee. “What are you doing?” Nicki asked looking really confused. “Nicki, I love you so much and I want to spend forever with you. I want to tie myself to you in every way possible. I want the entire world to know that we are together. Will you be my Luna and my wife?” I asked her as I opened the box I was holding. She had tears in her eyes and she wasn't saying anything. I could feel a slight tremble in her hand and before she could say or do anything she took off. She ran towards the trees. What is she doing? I had already marked her so we were together for life. The only way to get rid of it is by rejection which can kill you or by death and that can also kill you. I heard her start vomiting and that's when it dawned on me that she was sick from being pregnant and not running from me. Iran to her and as soon as I got there I ran my up and down her back while she continued to vomit. Once she was done she stood up all the way and looked at me and I could see, how bad she felt on her face.
