Alpha Alexa

Julian's POV

Everyone had left and we had gotten the wolves from Black Lake pack to a room and the other wolf went with Colter and Alexa. Alpha Jake should be here in a few hours. I intended to spend those hours with Nicki. She said she wanted to talk. I grabbed her hand and took her up to our room.

“Angel, I can't tell you how happy I am that you are my mate and that you are marked, and I can’t wait to bear your mark, bu what did you want to talk about?” Told her as soon as we were in our room.

She didn't say anything but took me to the couch and crawled in my lap and laid her head on my shoulder and breathed in my scent. I started to rub her back and waited for her to talk. It took her a few minutes, but she finally started.

“Julian, I want to see my parents. I haven't seen them since I left that day. I didn't tell them I was leaving, and they don't know what happened to me or that I am alive”

“They are now in Colter’s pack. I can call him, and we can get their number, so we can call them. I can have them brought here if you want”

“You would do that?” She asked with tears in her eyes.

“I would do anything for you. What are their names?"

“Jim and Sara Blu”

I pulled out my phone and sent Colt a text message about getting their information and then shoved my phone into my pocket.

“Can you feel your wolf?” I asked her.

“I can feel her, but she hasn't spoken to me yet. ve tried so many times, but I get nothing”

“She will talk to you; I am sure of it”

I felt my phone vibrate with a message and it was Colt. He was fast. He had a phone number for me.

“Angel, I have a phone number for you, whenever you are ready”

“That was so fast. Can I borrow your phone?”

“Of course,” I told her as I got the number put in.

I handed her the phone and told her to hit send whenever she was ready and that I would give her some privacy. She crawled off my lap and sat next to me. Her hands were shaking, and she was holding her finger over the send button. “Angel, I am going to go to my office. Take as much time as you need." I kissed her head and got up and left the room.

I made it to my office and sat down to do some work, but my mind kept going to Nicki, and wondered if she was ok. I couldn’ sit here and do nothing so I decided I would go see how Luca did with the humans. He was supposed to explain everything to them. I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to send them home but that was going to be the best thing for them.

I went downstairs and heard yelling coming from out back. I made my way down there and found a circle of people and one of the humans crying. When I got closer, I could see that Luca had someone pinned to the ground and he was fighting him trying to keep him held down.

“What is going on out here?" I yelled.

“He is mated to the human girl that is crying. Her boyfriend started a fight, but I stopped him before it could escalate but he won't calm down” Luca said.

“Mike calm down. We have some things we need to discuss. Go to my office and wait for me” I told him using my Alpha command so he couldn't start something.

Luca let him up and he glared at the boy and then turned and left towards the house. This was the last thing I needed right now.

“Luca take the two boys and explain a mate bond to them."

They turned and left with him, and this left me with the girl. I didn't even know her name.

“What is your name?” I asked her.

“Ashlee” She said.

“Walk with me and I will explain some things to you?

We took off walking around the house and headed for the gardens. I explained the mate bond and that for Mike it's like love atfirst sight. After explaining everything to her she looked very confused.

“Do you have any questions?”

“So, you are saying that I am supposed to be with this guy and have no say in it” She asked me.

“You can reject him."

“What happens to him if I do that?”

“He may never find anyone else to love”

“Did you feel anything when you met him?"

“I can't stop thinking about him and my heart wants me to talk to him, but I have a boyfriend and I can't just dump him. We have been together for a year now,”

“I understand that, but I think you owe it to yourself to at least have a conversation with him. No one is forcing you to do anything”

“Let me take you to him and you guys can talk."

I walked her to my office and when we walked in Mike was a wreck. He ran straight to her and pulled her into his arms and just breathed in her scent.

“Mike don't scare her but she would like to have a conversation with you” I told him and then left my office so they could have privacy.

I walked back downstairs and found a very upset Nicki walking through the house looking for me. As soon as she saw me, sh ran to me and threw her arms around me, and started crying.

“Angel, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"

“He killed him after I left. My dad is dead because I left” She sobbed.

I picked her up bridal style and carried her back up to our room while she just cried. I took her to our bed and laid down with her and just let her cry and tried to comfort her, but it was no use she was upset right now. I don't know how long she laid there crying but she finally fell asleep in my arms and I slowly started to drift off as well.

“sir, Alpha Jake is here” Luca mind linked me, waking me up.

I kissed Nicki on the head and started to roll out of bed. Her arm shot out and pulled me back down.

“Where are you going?” She asked.

“Alpha Jake is here, I have to go meet him and discuss everything that has happened and return his people”

“I will go with you” She said getting up from bed.

“You don't have to. Stay here and rest.”

“I don't want to be away from you right now.”

She got up from bed and went into the bathroom and when she came out she looked a little better. Her face wasn't so red and she ran a brush through her hair. I grabbed her hand and we went downstairs. We got downstairs and saw Luca talking with Alpha Jake.

“Alpha Jake, so glad that you could make it so quickly," I said walking up to him and extending my hand to him to shake. “Thank you for finding my missing pack members Alpha Julian. I have some very anxious people waiting for their families if we can get them.”

Just as he finished saying that an Omega walked around the corner with their family members. People started screaming anc running to their families. It was a joyous sight.

“Alpha Jake, if you would like to follow me we can go to my office and I can give you a rundown of what we know,” I told him. “Nicki we're going to my office,” I told her as she was talking with the families that just got here.

She grabbed a hold of my hand and we walked to my office. We walked in and took a seat at my desk and pulled Nicki into my lap and Alpha Jake sat down in one of my chairs in front of my desk.

I explained everything I knew and Alpha Jake was just thankful to have his pack members back. They were going to stay the night and leave in the morning.

I had an Omega show him to a room and I took Nicki to our room.

“Angel, are you doing ok?” I asked her.

“I will be better when my mom gets here. She wants to come here. I hope that's ok?" She said sounding hesitant.

“Of course, She can come here. I will arrange it Colter tomorrow”

“Come on let's go to bed," I told her.

We both quickly fell asleep but it didn't last long for me as my phone started going off. I rolled over to see who it was and it was Colter. I groaned and got out of bed and went away from my bed so I didn't wake Nicki,

“Do you know what time it is?" I asked him.

“Sorry, but we need to have a conference call in the morning” He said to me.

“Why?”

“We found someone on our pack lands who escaped from the warehouse and she has information we need to share. We alsc need to get all of the facts straight and come up with a plan.” He told me.

“Ok, what time?”

“Te

“Fine, talk then."

I hung up the phone and went back to bed. As soon as I crawled under the blanket Nicki rolled right back over to me and lai her head on my chest. Zion started purring as he was so happy to have her in our bed and wearing our mark. I closed my eyes and let the sparks between us lull me to sleep.

I woke up with a mind link from one of my warriors.

“Alpha sir, we have caught some scents near the eastern border. We can't find anyone but we have five different scents." “Has anyone else caught any scents on patrol tonight?” I linked back.

“No sir”

“OK, keep me posted if you come across anything else, and be safe”

I cut my link with the warrior and let out a big sigh.

“What's wrong baby?” Nicki asked.

“Nothing angel"

“I want to ask you something” Nicki said as she sat up on her elbow and rand her hand up and down my chest and abs. “Anything angel”

“I want to train and learn to fight. I can't be the Luna if I can't protect our pack”

“I think that is a fabulous idea but I don't ever want you fighting and please don't argue with me on it”

“I want to protect our pack. I can't do that if you don't let me out there”

“You can't. That is how I lost my first mate. She died trying to protect our pack and I can't lose you too, besides you can help protect everyone in the safe house."

“I am sorry. I still want to be trained.”
