I woke up in the same position that I fell asleep in. Colter was still sound asleep. The sun was starting to come and shine through the windows. I lay there watching it raise thinking about everything that has happened in a month.

“Lex, you have to tell him." Jade mind linked me.

“I know, and I will today. just don't know how."

“It's not that big of a deal, just tell him."

“50 what just be like, oh, by the way, I have my own pack to deal with, and I need to leave”

“Sounds good to me."

“I don't think he will see it that way. Besides, I don't want to be their Alpha anymore. I just don't know if I should just hand it over to someone or if I should just find them all new homes and let them start over. I'm sure some could come here."

“This is why you need to talk to him. He can help you."

“I know, but it's a mess, and it's my problem to deal with, not his. I don’t want to add to his plate.”

“What are you and your wolf so deep in conversation about?” Colter asked, scaring me out of my thoughts.

“Holy shit you scared me”

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to. I've just been watching you for a while."

“50 I need to tell you something and it's not the best of news."

“50 after you got shot my dad took off and abandoned his pack, my mom is being held in the dungeon and I may have challenged my brother for control of the pack and he just stepped down handing it over to me.”

“So what your saying is we need to go to your old pack and deal with it"

“Yes. Also, my dad isn't my biological dad. I'm not sure who is."

“We can handle this. What do you want to do?”

“Well I thought either Liam and Sloane take over the pack or we can bring most of them here and make them part of your pack.”

“First of all it's our pack and we can do either. I will however want to screen everyone and we may have to send people elsewhere.”

“I can understand that, so long as no one is made a rouge.”

The doctor walked in at that moment.

“Alexa, how are you feeling?"

“Much better”

“Can I take look and see how it is healing up?”

Colter got out of bed and I pulled the hospital gown up so that he could remove the bandages.

The doctor came up and pulled on the tape making me wince from the tugging on my skin.

“Well, this looks much better. It looks better than I expected. I think we can take these stitches out."

“Good, 50 I can get out of here?”

“As long as you promise to take it easy.”

He walked away and grabbed something and came back over and started taking the stitches out. It took him about fifteen minutes to get them all out. When he finished, I looked down and was amazed at how fast Jade had healed me.

“Jade you're amazing."

“I know, now will you try not to do that again? That took a lot of work and now I am tired, so I am going to nap.’

I looked up to see that Colter was mind-linking someone as well. I took this time to take in his features. He was good- looking, scratch that he is hot.

“Sorry, you distracted me. Can we leave already?”

“I have someone bringing up some clothes for you."

“Can we leave for the Silver Moon pack, this afternoon?”

“You should wait a few more days."

“The council isn't going to wait a few more days and you know it

“I know, but you have to take it easy there. Can you promise me that?"

“Yes. I promise." I said, giving him the biggest smile, I could.

Someone knocked on the door and Colter got up and talked to the person for a minute and then came back with some clothes for me. He walked over to the bed and handed them to me.

Igot up and went to the bathroom to change. When I stripped down, I took a look at the scars I now had. They were gnarly looking. They would get better but would never go away completely since she used silver. I put on my clothes and came bac} out to Colter waiting for me.
