All I Wanted was a Chance

I couldn't feel anything for a couple minutes or open my eyes. It's like I'm still trapped in the car, but I wasn't. When I opened my eyes I was in a bright room. The suddenly light burned my eyes, but they slowly adjusted.

I was laying in a white hospital room. I could hear noises from outside the door on the far side of the room.

I scanned my surroundings, flowers and stuffed animals covered the room.

Suddenly the door swung open, revealing a middle aged African American woman. She had a clipboard in her hand but dropped it to the floor and her hand swiftly covered her mouth.

"Oh my god, a miracle." She muttered and her eyes started to tear up.

Where the hell am I? I looked down at my arms and they were covered in IVs and tubes.

"Call the Evens family, she's awake." The lady called out into the hallway and choked on her words.

I started to panic. The Evens family? My family?

The woman rushed to my side and stared pushing buttons on the monitor. Then she looked at me at stroked my hair. "It's okay Hun, your family will be here soon." She gave me a big smile.

Another person entered the room, but it was a male. He had a doctors coat on unlike the lady who wore purple scrubs.

"Where am I?" I croaked out, its like I haven't talked in months. "Where's Tyler?"

"Annalee, I'm Dr. Johnson and this is Nurse Kent, your family will be arriving shortly, we just contacted them." The man spoke, also with a big smile. "Just try and relax."

"Where's Tyler?" I ask him.

"Uh." He flipped through his chart and then looked back up at me. "Do you mean Tyler Parker, he is your boyfriend, at least that's what it says here." The doctor lightly chuckled.

"No he's my mate." I corrected him and attempt to sit up.

"Is that something the kids are saying today?" He joked. "Ah I'm just getting old."

What the hell?

Where's Katy and Tyler?! Where the fuck am I?!

I looked closer at Nurse Kent, oh my god. My eyes started to water and my heart rate picked up.

The beating on a machine got faster and Nurse Kent was by my side.

"Honey calm down, you're fine." She cooed.

Suddenly I heard crying coming from out side then a woman came running in the room with her mouth cover by her hands. "My baby!" She sobbed.

My mom? Am I dreaming? My mother is dead.

Immediately she ran to me and trapped me in a hug, crying more a more. "My baby, you're awake!" She sobbed again.

Feeling overwhelmed I started to breath rapidly.

"Mrs. Evens, she's going to need some space, she doesn't remember the accident." Nurse Kent informed my alive mother.

Accident? What accident?

"Oh thank heavens!" My gaze shot to the door and my father rushed in, followed by Stella and Devon?

I have to be dreaming right? Tyler's going to wake me up any second now.

Why am I not waking up! Where's Tyler!

"Where's Tyler!" I yell at everyone and they seem surprised.

"Anna I called him and he's on his way, now aren't you happy to see us?" My mother looked at me like I was crazy.

"No, I want Tyler, and Katy!" I shout again. "Where are they? Where's Jackson!"

"Anna we called all of your friends now please calm down." my mother started sobbing even more.

Then I practically jumped out of the bed when Katy came running to me.

"Katy what happened?!" I cried and she hugged me tight.

"I thought you were never going to wake up." Katy sniffed and laughed. "God I missed you Anna."

"Where's Tyler?" I stare deep into her eyes.

"He just text me, he's in the lobby, he'll be up any second." She sniffled again and smiled ear to ear.

Without thinking I ripped out all of the tunes from my arm and hopped off the bed. I sprinted out of the hospital room before anyone could stop me. I vigorously looked left and right. Then I saw him.

My Tyler, running towards me.

Tears sprung from my eyes and I screamed. "Tyler!"

He picked me up and spun my around in my hospital gown. When he touched me I felt instantly okay, I'm now with my mate.

"Oh god Anna, you don't know how happy I am!" He cheered loudly then kissed my lips softly, savoring every second.

"Tyler what happened? Where's Jackson? What about the pack?" I looked up at him with big eyes.

"What are you talking about a pack? What's that?" He chuckled and lifted me up bridal style. "But Jackson should be here soon, Katy made sure if it, you know her, the crazy girlfriend."

"Girlfriend?" I stared up at him. "Tyler what about our pack, what about the baby?"

"Anna your sounding kinda crazy about this whole pack thing." Tyler chuckled again. "Katy is one crazy girlfriend, but Jackson would never leave her."

"Tyler put me down." I demand and he quickly does. "Tell me I'm dreaming." I beg him.

"Anna I know that your probably super confused-"

"Tyler are we mates?"

"If that's what you want to call me." He smiled.

"What about my baby?"

"Anna what baby? Were you pregnant?" His eyes grow wide and he pulls me into his arms. "Oh my god, the doctor didn't say anything to me."

"Tyler... I'm the Luna and your the Alpha. Our pack is called Bloodstone, Katy is your sister and Jackson is your best friend. I'm your mate, the moongoddess made us mates. I lost my family in a rouge attack, except for my father. Frank helped me and then I met you. I have a gift that makes my offspring Lycans." Tyler just looked at me like I was crazy. "You love me and I became pregnant, but I lost the baby! You killed Richard! I became pregnant again! You love me! We are mates!" I screamed at him in the middle of the hospital hallway.

"Anna please calm down." He sadly looked at me. "You were in a car accident, then went into a coma for a entire year, and I do love you, I will always love you."

Uncontrollably I started having a panic attack and I cried my heart out. "Wake me up! Please! Wake me up!"

Then Nurse Kent shoved a shot into my arm, injecting a serum into my blood.

"We're werewolves." I mumbled and slowly was set down on the floor. "My mate."

Darkness over came me.

All I want is to wake up.

All I wanted was my mate.

It's funny how your imagination can be the darkest part of you.
