Aladdyn : Episode IV : Enter the Lamp

Chapter [7] Moon

The four corners of the hourglass constellation were stretched across a far-reaching vertical of Outer Space. Diagonally aligned at its center, the three stars were situated just above the planet in their foreground. Beyond the rings encircling the planet, a moon was ascending along its orbit about Saturn. The Crystal Ship, too, was rising towards its lunar destination, sailing by way of the harmony with which Quantum[X] conducted the flight.

Atop the platform, he winged arms by rhythm and time. As §uper§tring§ of his Essence blew through crystal sails, harmonic vibrations resounded throughout the vessel with classical progression; a Song of Atmosphere, driving him towards the Saturn Moon. Aware that he would be arriving shortly, he studied its terrain in search of a suitable place to anchor.

By the light of the Sun, the Moon shone as a globe of pearly-white. Aqua-blue grooves shaped as tiger stripes roved between the walls of mountainous steeps and deep crevices, cracked across the foundation. Across the South Pole towards which the craft was headed, several active geysers were spraying fragments of ice unto space.

The silent eruptions fountained continuously. Shortly after, most of the bits scattered, drifting with abandon across the void. A small population of them gravitated unto the Saturn Rings to be swooped along orderly revolutions. Very few of the sparkling parts reached the North Pole of Saturn, where they vanished without trace into the abysmal depths of a Dark Hexagon, situated atop of the atmospheric planet.

The Dark Hexagon appeared deep and empty; Quantum[X] imagined its scope reached to the planet’s otherside. As the Crystal Ship soared after the moon, he studied the stormy weather systems, spiraling about it; the hexagon, turning with clockwise precision. As gazing on, he reflected upon a lifetime ago; upon the memory of an object he had come across of which the Dark Hexagon reminded him.

Peripheral bars of his lens narrowed. With the focus, Quantum[X] removed himself from the reverie and attended to the present; his attention, narrowed upon a valley, fixed between two adjacent hills set amidst a wide open plot of ice. The time had come to prepare to anchor.

Quantum[X] waved a bend of §uper§tring§ over the sails, down towards the deck. At the front of the ship, the rainbow splashed across the Crystal Cannon. Tendrils of spectrum animated the weapon, adjusting its aim upon the icy terrain. The Crystal Anchor was loaded in the barrel. A fuse emerged from its other end, sparkling iridescently; §uper§tring§, on standby.

Zooming in, Quantum[X] locked sights upon the summit of the higher hump, looming over the valley. Once he had exacted the calculations he was envisioning, he zoomed out and calibrated his Essence to fine-tune the barrel’s alignment. Between the moon and the vessel, icy pieces, sprayed of the geyser, were drifting towards the sails; would soon be sifting across him. Deciding to fire the anchor once the bits had passed, he waited, shifting his focus to the icy arrangement; something about them, alluring his interest.

As shafts of sunlight twinkled between them, Quantum[X] started noticing a pattern. With the recognition, the bits started coming together, concentrating along their drift towards him; each flake, reflecting a unique particle of color amidst a highly-pixelated arrangement. The moment they crossed the anchor at the bow of the vessel, rays of the Sun flushed the parts with the HD resolution of a 3D image of a kiss flashed his lens—

The shining moment was eclipsing, blinding the environment from sight. As the icy pixels drifted across him, he took his time studying the three layers of the image, seeking to derive a meaningful understanding. As quickly as it had happened, the bits shifted beyond their precision arrangement; the shining passed, abruptly uncovering the details of his immediate surroundings. The anchor at the bow of the vessel collided with the hump of the lunar valley.

The hull—the deck—the Crystal Ship—began smoothly gliding unto its destruction. On the platform, Quantum[X] stood calm as he had as witnessing the beautiful imagery. Just as he had done moments before, he was taking the time to fully absorb the stunning and shattering experience as it happened. The mast splintered from the platform.

Airborne, Quantum[X] reached up and shot a thrust of §uper§tring§ out his palm, boosting him along a downward thrust. Along the plunge, he drop-kicked through the Crystal Sails, breaking free one its facets that he grabbed and planted to his boots. Sail to his feet, he swooped down the hump’s vertical, across the valley and up the adjacent steep. At its top, he turbo’d his flow, launched the lip, and far beyond its crest.

Amidst zero-gravity, Quantum[X] flew through heights, sparkling with crystal facets, chiming by rhythm and time along a Song of Atmosphere, waxing across the Saturn Moon.
