She stood in the shadows, watching Michael and Lucy share a love she couldn't find at Paramount Airlines.

She saw him off at the gate, straightened his crooked tie with a smile, and wished him a safe landing.

Chloe hid nearby, feeling utterly miserable.

He treats his lover and everyone else like night and day.

He'd let Lucy easily slip past his defenses, but Chloe? Not a chance.

All night long, Chloe was trapped in a relentless loop of nightmares.

Her brow stayed furrowed all night. No matter how much Michael tried to soothe her, he couldn't smooth it out.

The next morning, sunlight streamed through the window, waking Chloe up.

Her head still throbbed. She could barely remember how much she had drunk last night. Now, she felt absolutely miserable.

She was about to push herself up when her hand accidentally brushed against something warm.

She gasped, and in the next moment, her wrist was seized, pulling her back onto the bed.

The man murmured in a deep voice, "Let's sleep a bit longer."

Michael was exhausted. He'd stayed up late taking care of her last night and barely caught a wink. Now, his head was pounding.

'... Michael, why are we in the same bed?" she asked.

He never usually spends the night in the same bed with me.

Michael opened his eyes, dark circles still lingering beneath

He raised an eyebrow, coolly saying, "Why so nervous now? You weren't like this yesterday when you said you'd come home with

me."

Chloe shivered, thinking, "When did I say that yesterday? Damn it, why can't I remember a thing?!"

She let out a nervous chuckle, blinked, and said, "So... um, aren't you going to work today?"

"So, after spending the night together, you're just gonna ditch me? You haven't even paid me yet," he said.

Chloe's face was a mask of terror as she stared at the man lying next to her.

His wrinkled shirt, looking thoroughly abused, clearly told the tale of last night's intense events.

Even my own clothes had turned into... pajamas!

Last night, she realized she might have actually slept with

"Oh my god, why did I drink so much? Someone save me, please!" she thought.

Chloe had no clue what expression to wear anymore.

Michael watched her face turn from pale to flushed, and he couldn't help but feel his mood lighten after being down since last night.

He reached out, his hand sliding around her slender waist, pulling her into his embrace.

He teased, "I didn't know you got so bold after a few drinks. You're way more fun than usual."

Chloe blushed, struggling to pull herself out of his embrace.

"Michael, last night... I had too much to drink and mistook you for someone else. If I did anything, I'm sorry," she said.
