Chapter Divorcing 460
Chapter 460 House
Madeline was shocked and said, "Chloe, what do you mean? You are so ungrateful. I am your only relative after your mother died. You don't even admit your relatives. You will be punished!" When Madeline started cursing, the security personnel had already carried her downstairs.
Chloe snorted.
After Madeline left, Quinn completely opened the door and walked towards Chloe, saying, "Are you okay?"
Chloe shook her head and said, "Nothing, it's just a little annoying."
Madeline and Maya wouldn't hurt her.
Quinn was relieved when he heard this and said, "Candy said that you're looking for a house these days. How is it going?" Chloe took a half step back and said, "I'll go and take a look tomorrow. If everything goes well, I'll make a decision."
"I'll go with you."
He responded almost instantly.
If it were in the past, Chloe would have agreed immediately.
But now Chloe knew that he was interested in her.
So, she couldn't continue to get along with him like before.
She wanted to refuse, but after thinking for a long time, she could only come up with an excuse. She said, "It's too troublesome for you, I'll go with Candy." Quinn never felt troublesome to help her.
"It's not a big deal."
"By the way, Jessica will also have an assessment tomorrow. She has been on the team for a while. Candy and I are both busy, so I have to ask you to help me." Chloe could only think of such an excuse.
Quinn looked disappointed. Chloe saw it clearly but could only pretend not to understand.
"Do you have something to do tomorrow? I can delay it for two days."
"I'm free tomorrow."
Quinn adjusted his state and then returned to normal.
Chloe felt a little relieved. It was the first time she felt that getting along with him was such a tiring thing.
The next day, Chloe took Candy to Amanda's address.
On the way, Candy felt a little strange and asked, "Amanda doesn't know you well, why is she helping you so much?" People from rich families were not fools.
Even if Amanda's house was empty, she shouldn't rent it to someone she'd only known for a short time.
"Maybe Ms. Miller is very kind. Her house is empty anyway."
Candy still felt something was wrong, but she couldn't figure it out.
The two arrived at their destination and got out of the car. Candy looked at the name of the community and felt suffocated.
"Chloe, is the house that Amanda gave you this one?"
Chloe was also a little surprised when she got the address yesterday.
After all, this was a high-end residential area, and the house price here was more expensive than that of Mortland.
She remembered that even Michael didn't seem to have a house here.
"Let's go in and take a look."
Chloe thought maybe it was a house that was not often lived in and was just slightly renovated.
But when the two of them arrived in front of the house, they were shocked again.
This was a four-story villa with a garden of dozens of square meters outside. Although no one lived there, the lawn in the garden was well maintained.
They could tell at first glance that it had been carefully renovated.
Standing at the door, Candy tugged at Chloe's sleeve and said, "Are you sure you didn't make a mistake?"
Chloe was speechless.
She wasn't illiterate.
Chloe handed the business card to Candy without saying a word.
The two looked at each other and then walked inside.
It was not simply decorated as Chloe said, it was extremely exquisite.
The house had been uninhabited for so many years but it was still spotless.
"You must be Ms. Nelson, right? Ms. Miller informed me yesterday that you would come to see the house today. I am the housekeeper of this villa. You can call me Bob." Candy was dumbfounded when she looked at the crystal chandelier from the ceiling on the fourth floor.
She thought she might be dreaming.
Before Chloe could react, her cell phone rang.
