After Divorcing my Captain Husband (Chloe and Michael)

Chapter Divorcing 458

Chapter 458 Compensation

"Ms. Nelson, I'm from the sales department of Mortland. Do you still remember that you agreed to come and see the house?"

Chloe was a little embarrassed and said, "I'm sorry, I was so busy yesterday that I forgot."

"It's okay. Our activity will last for a few more days. If you're free tomorrow, you can come over."

Chloe found it a little strange. The people in the sales department would always call people to view the houses.

But high-end properties like Mortland should not be short of buyers.

Besides, she had already told the sale that she might not afford it, so why was the sale still so persistent with her?

"If I'm going tomorrow, I'll contact you."

The other party hung up the phone, and then Amanda asked, "What's the matter?"

"Oh, the sale from Mortland asked me to go over and look at the house."

Amanda was a little surprised and said, "Ms. Nelson, do you want to buy a house?"

"I want to buy it to use as a studio. The location of Mortland is indeed good, but its house price is a little high."

Chloe told the truth.

"If you don't mind, I do have an empty house in the downtown."

The Miller family had immigrated abroad, but some of their properties here were still kept.

Chloe was somewhat flattered and said, "It will cause too much trouble for you."

She felt that Amanda would not sell the house to her, and it would be very troublesome to rent it to her.

"It's fine. I don't live here anyway, and it would be a waste to keep it empty. Since you need it, you can just use it."

Chloe didn't know what to say.

"You can go and take a look tomorrow, then you can decide later."

Chloe could only agree.

Her plan of visiting Mortland was delayed again.

Amanda sent Chloe back to Urban Lane. Amanda did not drive into the community, and Chloe got out and walked back home slowly.

But she didn't expect to see two familiar figures downstairs of her house.

She was slightly stunned and walked towards the two of them.

The two people were sneaking around, bending over, looking at something.

Chloe walked over, but the two of them were completely unaware.

She stood behind him and asked in a deep voice, "What are you two doing here?"

The two people trembled when they heard this.

"Chloe, you're finally back!"

Listening to Madeline's words, Chloe frowned, not knowing what she meant.

"This is my home. I can come back whenever I want."

What did it have to do with them?

"I have only worked at Paramount Airlines for less than a week, but I have to pay Paramount Airlines so much money. As my cousin, shouldn't you take care of it?"

Chloe understood and said, "She owes Paramount Airlines money, what does it have to do with me?"

Madeline got angry when she heard this. She pushed Maya who was standing in front of her away, pointed at Chloe, and said, "What? Not to mention that you are her cousin, the general manager of Paramount Airlines is your husband. How can you betray your relatives like this?"

"Sorry, you should go find Michael for this matter. I can't help you."

Chloe was about to leave with a look of annoyance. She did not hold these two people accountable, but they blamed her instead.

"Stop right there, Chloe. Call Michael right now and tell him that this is a misunderstanding and has nothing to do with Maya. Do you hear me?"

Madeline's commanding tone made Chloe laugh out loud.

"How dare you order me? Besides, Michael and I are divorced. He is the one who fired Maya and asked her to pay back the money. It has nothing to do with me."

Maya and Madeline had been busy dealing with the compensation issue.

Although they heard about the divorce news on the Internet, they always thought it was fake and was a lie.

Seeing that Madeline was so indifferent and didn't seem to be lying, Madeline's mind went blank.

If Chloe had nothing to do with Michael anymore, then who could speak up for Maya?

"Chloe, you are crazy, why did you divorce Michael?"
