After Divorcing my Captain Husband (Chloe and Michael)

Chapter Divorcing 398

Chapter 398 A New Man

The supervisor nodded repeatedly. "It's done. There won't be any mistakes, but we will lose money if this bill is submitted." Michael deliberately had him give the document to Maya and intentionally altered the final amount she calculated.

Although it was just a decimal point change, the loss already exceeded seven figures.

"That's not your concern."

Michael did not explain.

The supervisor's forehead was dripping with sweat. "Then, Mr. Shawn, I'll leave now."

After he left, Michael looked through the documents on the desk.

By tomorrow, Maya would face an astronomical compensation fee.

She had miscalculated the company's bill. All the losses would be attributed to her alone.

That evening, when Michael returned to Lotus Manor, it was raining outside.

Sitting in the back seat as he entered the neighborhood, he saw someone standing at the entrance of his villa.

"Sir, that seems to be... Ms. Baker?"

Tom looked at the figure drenched in rain. Wasn't that Rosie, who had been fired a few days ago?

Michael didn't even glance at her. Tom routinely drove the car into the garage.

Rosie watched as Michael's car drove past her. A look of disappointment was in her eyes.

She had been waiting for him in the rain for an hour, and he didn't even stop the car.

Michael got out of the car and saw Rosie walking to the garage door. "Mr. Shawn, can you give me a few minutes? It won't take long. Mrs. Shawn didn't let me in, so I had to wait at the door."

Michael frowned.

Rosie thought he was angry at Chloe. "It's not Mrs. Shawn's fault. Normally, she doesn't like me, but I really have something to say to you." "You're dirtying my floor."

Rosie's expression instantly turned despondent.

Michael didn't give her any more chances to speak. He just turned and went upstairs.

Inside, Chloe was rarely seen sitting in the living room watching TV.

She just glanced at him when he came back.

"Next time there's someone you don't want to see outside. Just call the neighborhood security."

Chloe was puzzled. "Who is it?"

Seeing that she had no idea there was someone outside, Michael realized she had no idea Rosie had been standing outside for an hour. "Nothing. What do you want for dinner?"

"Beef brisket."

Chloe didn't want to eat it. She just randomly mentioned a dish.

Emma immediately went to the kitchen to prepare it.

"Let's go to the hospital to see your mom tomorrow."

This was the first time Michael had proactively suggested visiting Wendy.

Chloe paused slightly, holding the TV remote.

She had planned to visit tomorrow. If possible, she could take Wendy downstairs to get some sun.

She had promised Wendy this earlier.

"Don't you have work tomorrow?"

"There's nothing much at Paramount Airlines, and Asher is at Shawn Heavy Industries. I just need to check in."

He had arranged his schedule for tomorrow at the company today.

Wendy had just come out of surgery and was quite weak. It would be good for them to spend more time with her. "You don't need to clear your schedule for me. I can go by myself."

"It's fine. I want to go with you."

Chloe was at a loss for words to stop him.

Since he wanted to go, she let him.

The next morning, when Chloe woke up, Michael was already downstairs.

As soon as she went downstairs, she saw a new man standing in the living room. He looked like a high-class chef.
