Chapter Divorcing 379
Chapter 379 Fight
James clutched the covers as if he'd been exposed to his weakest side.
"Finish your infusion first, and we'll talk about what's going on back there."
Chloe didn't hesitate to say it before exiting the hospital room and closing the door behind her.
She was going to call Smith in the hallway, but she accidentally saw Lucy in the other hospital room.
Tiffany had been in the hospital several times before for unconsciousness.
It wasn't that Chloe didn't know about it. She had thought that Tiffany was pretending, but she just didn't expect to meet her today by such a coincidence.
It seemed that Tiffany wasn't in good shape either.
She had no intention of listening to what was being said inside.
But Lucy's voice was just too loud for Chloe to easily hear.
"Mom, did you do it enough? What do you want me to do? When you asked me to grab Wendy's pills, I did. When you asked me to pay off the money for you, I did. So what are you dissatisfied with?" "No, of course I'm not satisfied. I asked you to marry Michael, but did you do it?"
Chloe didn't want to hear any more.
It was nothing more than a collusion.
Even if Lucy wanted to marry Michael, she would have to see if Michael would.
She went to the hallway to make a phone call.
As Chloe disappeared completely out of the doorway of the hospital room, Lucy turned to look around as if she had felt it.
Seeing that no one was outside, she withdrew her gaze again.
"Lucy, I told you to marry Michael, but why are you with Owen now? The Smith family is just a little rich, so how do they deserve you? Besides, do you really want to lose out to Chloe?" Tiffany had been fighting Wendy her whole life.
Now she was going to make Lucy fight Chloe, too.
Lucy was trying so hard and she really wanted to fight Chloe until the end.
"Mom, now Michael doesn't trust me anymore. He won't even allow me to stay at home if I don't find another way."
Lucy was angry at the mention of this.
Did she mean to get together with Owen?
It was simply because Owen could be his own booster.
"Owen won't ask for the tens of millions of dollars he helped you pay back, will he?"
Lucy shook her head without hesitation. "He won't."
She knew Owen wasn't like that.
Since Owen had given her the money, he wouldn't ask for it back.
Lucy wasn't worried about Owen.
It was always Chloe she worried about.
"Now that the Shawn family doesn't approve of Chloe's divorce, and Michael seems to have feelings for Chloe. If I make a scene out of this, Michael will only hate me more." Lucy sat in her chair with a sorrowful look on her face.
She used to think she could instigate a divorce between Michael and Chloe.
But now it seemed she could only start with Chloe.
"What will it take for Chloe to be willing to make up her mind to divorce Michael?"
Tiffany was also silent for a moment when she heard that.
Their eyes were filled with evil, trying to find a foolproof method.
It was better to pass the blame to someone else silently.
Suddenly, the two thought of something.
They looked at each other and said, almost in unison, "Wendy!"
Wendy had always been Chloe's soft spot.
As long as Wendy got Chloe divorced or did something that would make Chloe determined, she would inevitably get a divorce no matter what.
Wendy was their breakthrough point.
"But since the last time we've been to the hospital, Chloe has had the nurses over at the hospital guarding Wendy every inch of the way. No one but Chloe can see her." Lucy felt helpless just thinking about it.
Lucy regretted that she hadn't enraged Wendy so much that Wendy had been bedridden the last time she had been to the hospital.
It was really a blunder.
"If we can't get in, we should just let her out!"
Tiffany's words made Lucy look over at her again.
"I have a way to get her out."
