Chapter 30: Jealousy

His questioning tone left Chloe a bit flustered. The changes in his body made her heart mce.

"You..."

Michael's other hand gripped her waist, fingers teasing her sensitive spot.

"Alright, you got it! Haven't tried it here before."

Michael reached to unbutton Chloe's top.

When Chloe realized he was serious, her face turned beet red.

She shoved him angrily. "Michael, you're shameless!"

Michael's tousled bangs fell across his forehead, softening his serious look and highlighting his chiseled features.

He let out a low, devilish chuckle and leaned in closer to Chloe.

"Are you mad, or just playing hard to get? You said you wanted kids. I'm giving you what you want, so what's the problem?"

That's definitely wrong.

Chloe took a deep breath.

Michael was quite dominant in that regard.

They only hooked up a few times a month, but each time left her exhausted.

Every time after they made love, Michael seemed relaxed and refreshed, while she was left utterly exhausted.

Chloe could already picture just how messy things would get if they made love here.

"Michael, chill out..."

Outside the office, the moment Michael pulled Chloe in, the rest of the coworkers erupted into a frenzy of gossip.

"Oh my God, did I just see Mr. Shawn make a move on Chloe?"

"You're not seeing things. I saw it too. What's going on? Are they together?"

"What's the deal with Lucy? Is she just Mr. Shawn's fling? Could he be cheating?"

Everyone's talking, but nobody's got a clear answer.

"Given Mr. Shawn's qualities, it's no surprise he's got two admirers."

"No wonder I always thought Chloe looked at Mr. Shawn a bit strangely. That time the flight almost went wrong, she instinctively moved towards him to talk. So they were already together back then?" The other colleagues looked puzzled.

"But wasn't Mr. Shawn really close with Lucy back then?"

"That was intense! Honestly, even though Chloe's our colleague and we're on good terms, I don't think she stands much of a chance against Lucy."

Lucy, a top student with a great background, seemed like a perfect match for Michael.

But Chloe was just a flight attendant, no match for Lucy,

The other colleagues nodded in agreement.

Everyone agreed Chloe was stunning.

"Sure, she's pretty, but so what? She's a widow. No way Mr. Shawn would go for her."

Lucy approached Michael, overhearing her colleagues' chatter from behind.

When Lucy overheard her colleagues saying Chloe was prettier than her, her face twisted with jealousy for a moment. But she quickly regained her

composure.

Lucy quickly composed herself, cleared her throat, and caught the attention of the people in front of her.

They turned and saw her, utterly surprised.

"Even though Chloe quit, you guys were colleagues. It's best not to talk like that about her, okay?"

Lucy's kind tone put everyone at ease.

After speaking, she walked to Michael's office door and knocked.
