Chapter Acknowledgments
The term ‘Ramstat’ was first coined in the Radix Tetrad, written by A A Attanasio way back in the early 1980s. I would heartily recommend his works, as they gave me much pleasure.
The description of the Coca-Cola machine (referred to in the chapter called ‘Coca-Cola light’) came from an evocative photograph I once saw of an old Coca-Cola drinks machine on an old pier. I don’t know what era the machine would have dated from, but the way that it glowed in the darkness stayed with me (long after the photograph itself was lost). Needless to say, the machine in my book refers to the Coca-Cola drinks machines which are manufactured for the supply of Coca-Cola (where the term Coca-Cola is owned and trademarked by the Coca-Cola Company).
