Ace
"Motherfucker...Son of a gun," I heard Ivy scream as Ink tattooed her.
King just laughed as Ink looked up at him and shook his head. Ivy and Nora decided to get their Ol' Lady tattoos at the same time, and while Nora just held my hand and hissed, Ivy swore quite a bit. Storm did most of the work, drawing beautiful sketches for the women of the tattoos they both loved. He took care of Nora's back as it needed much more attention than Ivy's. Ink was damn good from working with Storm and he trusted him completely, which King agreed with as he looked at her back.
"You're good, boy," he said to Ink, who proudly looked at his work and turned to Storm.
"I told you he's almost better than me...almost," Storm said, laughing as he paused.
"We should maybe stop for today?" I asked Storm, who nodded.
“No, please, I can still do it. Storm still has a few hours until we’re ready,” Nora said, looking at me.
"I know you can do it. You've been sitting here for hours every day for a week. But I can't see you like this anymore," I answered her.
“You got your tattoo done in one day!” she said disappointedly.
“Well, it’s not my first,” I replied, laughing.
"Will it at least be ready before the wedding?" she asked and Storm grinned.
"Sure! You just have to come one more time again. And then we're done. The wedding is still a month away and the tattoo will have healed well by then. Always apply some cream,” Storm said, throwing the ointment at me.
Ivy cursed again and Storm laughed as he turned to her.
“I’ll show you your tattoo when it’s finished, Nora. I'm impressed by it. You can't see the scars. So don't worry anymore," he told her and she nodded before he left us alone and turned his attention to the cursing Ivy.
I looked at Nora's tattoo and grinned as she looked at me in the mirror and got dressed.
“It looks damn good,” I told her and she beamed.
The club's name and logo were placed around an ace of spades card with "Ace's Doll" written in calligraphy on Nora's back.
I was so proud of her that she wanted to get a tattoo right after we got engaged. I tattooed her name all over my shoulder blade and she was touched when I showed it to her.
"Goddamn!" Ivy screamed again and Nora laughed as we walked over to her.
On Ivy's back was the club logo, just like Nora's, and the name surrounded by a beautiful crown with its inscription reading "King's Baby." King had her name tattooed, just like me Nora’s, in huge font, which was what she asked for because her name was so short.
"And...we...are...finished," Ink said proudly as he completed the final improvements.
"Damn, finally!" Ivy said and gasped, making us all laugh.
Storm looked over Ink's shoulder at his masterpiece and patted him on the shoulder.
“I couldn't have done it better. Good job, boy,” he said proudly and Ink grinned in relief.
"I need a damn drink!" Ivy said and King laughed loudly.
We all walked together from the tattoo shop to the bar and sat on the stairs.
“Alice told you to come to her. She has already prepared everything for the wedding. Erin and her are waiting for you to pick out some stuff. I told you she was the best for something like this," I heard Duke say when he saw Nora. Nora kissed me gently and I grinned at her as the women went to Alice's house.
“And another one bites the dust,” Duke said as he sat down next to me, laughing.
“And another one has found his happy ending,” I said and King toasted me.
Duke looked at me with a raised eyebrow and laughed, “Pussy whipped, that’s all of you. You, King...Void, Wrath... every single one of you!" he said, laughing.
Sure we were, but we knew that one day Duke would be one of us too, so we all laughed.
"To the Ol' Ladies," Wrath said, raising his beer.
“To the Ol' Ladies,” we all joined in and toasted.
I watched Nora walk with Ivy toward Alice's house, and she turned to me with a smile. If I'm pussy whipped, then that's just how it is... I love her, and Duke can call me whatever he wants. All I know is that I was happy, and Nora was too. That is all that mattered from the beginning.
