Chapter CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE
Spiritual Reunions
Elizabeth rushed back to Apollonia and Livinia, and they walked away from the lake and travelled down a well-worn path through the heavily forested area. Soon, they came into a circular clearing that was ringed with large trees. At the northern and southern ends of the clearing, small log fires blazed, the smoke lazily drifting upwards in a westernly direction as a gentle breeze whispered through the clearing. The logs were arranged in an upright diagonal position, and smaller logs and kindling sat underneath the pyramided upright logs and kept the fire healthy.
“This is our sacred ceremonial site which our Gods have blessed.” Apollonia said. “Now I’ve never tried to contact your type before, but if their spirits exist, I shall try to reach out to them.”
Livinia and Elizabeth watched as Apollonia knelt before the fire at the northern end, her head bowed respectfully. Apollonia chanted quietly, and after two minutes of solemn chanting were relegated to the past, she called out, “Livinia, come over here.”
Livinia knelt besides her, and Apollonia clasped Livinia’s right hand. “I’m getting something, so close your eyes and think about her, think about your Mistress and bring her image into your mind.”
Livinia closed her eyes and thought about the love of her life. Images came quickly and easily; Athena’s attractive face, her demure smile, her bright eyes, the confident way she held her head high, her easy grace and charm.
Apollonia stood and said quietly, “I’ll leave you be.”
Livinia gazed at her, and Apollonia recognised the question in her eyes. With a contented smile, Apollonia said, “She’s here, just focus on the flames.”
Apollonia grabbed Elizabeth’s hand, and they walked over and knelt by the fire at the southern end.
Livinia turned her focus to the gently flickering flames, the orange glow shaped like a ragged triangle, the flames eating into one another as the smoke drifted upwards. She couldn’t see anything, so she closed her eyes and concentrated. Theimages slowly flitted into her mind again, and as she concentrated on the images, she felt something, a presence, and she opened her eyes and looked into the flames again. Disappointed that she couldn’t see anything in the flames, although aroused by the mysterious presence, she said tentatively, “Hello, Athena …”
Strangely, with her eyes open, the images were still in her mind, and she rocked back when a distinctive crackle broke the silence.
“Well, well …” came a surprised whisper.
Livinia heard the words, was certain she heard the whisper, although the flames offered no vision in their lilting, flickering dance. She focussed on the centre of the flames and asked uncertainly, “Athena?”
The flames licked and jiggled, and as smoke rose steadily, a voice crackled. “Well, Livinia Crenwinkle, what a surprise.”
Distorted and wavering as it was, Livinia knew that it was her voice, the voice of her Mistress, and she asked excitedly, “Athena, you can hear me?”
“Well, my lover, Livinia Crenwinkle, what a vision you are.”
Livinia let out a gasp, then she placed her right hand over her heart as a clear image of her Mistress formed in the middle of the flames.
Apollonia could feel it, could feel the presence hovering above them, and she kissed Elizabeth on the cheek and then stood. She heard the nervous vampire stutter uncertainly, “Mel, Melanie …”
Apollonia moved to the edge of the clearing, and she gazed up at the half moon, pleased that connections had been made. The things that she had seen and done in her supernatural life meant that she didn’t just believe in God, she knew that there was a God, or Gods. Witches were immortal, she knew that, because she had contacted many spirits over the journey, and she knew that their spirits existed still in the kingdoms of their Gods, and now she also knew that the fanged creatures were immortal as well.
Livinia stared in fascination as an image flickered in the flames, and as it became more solid and identifiable, she muttered, “Athena, ohhh my God!”
“Lover, Livinia, I can hear you.”
“Yes, yes, I can hear you Athena.”
“What is this Livinia, what is happening?”
“Ummm, ummm, Ap-Apollonia arranged this.”
“Ohhh, so the Queen of the Witches can put her magic to good use.”
“Athena, so you still exist?”
“Livinia, you’re talking to me.”
“Wh-where are you?”
“In the Kingdom, in the Kingdom of our Father.”
“In the Kingdom of Mephistopheles?”
“Yes, so at least we now know that what we taught and believed in is real.”
“I, I can’t believe it!”
“I am here Liv, in the Kingdom of our Father, and I’m surrounded by our heroes and legends.”
With her right hand still over her heart, Livinia asked quietly, “What’s it like?”
“It is everything that we could have hoped for and more.”
“Tell me about it.”
“It’s a Kingdom of dreams, where you dream and then you become the dream. I have no shape or form, I am simply the essence of my spirit.”
“I, I can see you though.”
“I am so glad that you can, and strangely, I can’t see myself, although in this new world, everybody else can see me, and I can see them. The Kingdom is an illusory dream, where your thoughts become your visions.”
Livinia thought about it, then asked, “You can see others?”
“Yes I can.”
Livinia drew in a breath, then asked hesitantly, “Sebestian, Seamus, Melanie?”
“The three brave warriors are with me, and we dream together.”
“What do you do, I mean what do you do with your time?”
“There is no time in the Kingdom, there are no hours or minutes, no days or nights, there is simply the now, and we all exist in the moment.”
“Can you communicate with them?”
“Yes I can, and we gather frequently and discuss past memories and experiences, and of course we pray for those who still exist below us.”
Elizabeth blubbered and said shakily, “I, I can see you Mel.”
“Hey Baby, Bethy, I’m looking at your face and it’s the most beautiful vision that I’ve ever seen.”
“Where are you Mel?”
“In the Kingdom, the Kingdom of Mephistopheles.”
“So it’s real, there is an after-life for us?”
“Put it this way Bethy, I’m talking to you right now.”
“Ohhh Mel …”
“How did this happen Beth?”
Elizabeth wiped the tears away and said, “Apollonia did this, I mean it’s Samhain, the beginning of the witches most sacred cycle.”
“Hmmm, I guess she’s not so bad, for a witch.”
“Mel, tell me about it.”
“What?”
“The Kingdom.”
“Ohhh, of course. It’s a bit weird Bethy, because I can see everybody else, although I can’t see myself.”
“What do you mean?”
“Athena said that we are spirits, and-”
“Sorry Mel,” Elizabeth interrupted, “Athena is with you?”
“Yeah, and Sebastian and Seamus. Athena explained that we are spirits, and we live in the dream of the moment.”
“So what’s it like, the Kingdom?”
“Hmmm, it’s hard to explain, but it’s kind of like this dreamy contentment. Possibly the best way to describe it is that I’m always wrapped up in this feeling of peace and pleasure. The best feeling I ever had when I was, errr … down there, was after we’d made love, and you’d curl into me and rest your face on my shoulder, and yeah, it’s great up here, because I feel like that all the time.”
Elizabeth blubbered and muttered, “Mel, I miss you so much.”
“Bethy, one day, not too soon I hope, but one day we’ll be together forever.”
“Lover, Livinia, I saw the battle, and I swelled with pride as I watched our clan fight with such courage and honour.”
“It was for you Athena, to avenge what they did to you.”
“I feel honoured that the clan were all prepared to risk their existence for me.”
Livinia was stunned that she was actually communicating with her soulmate, yet the important question popped in her mind, so she asked somberly, “Athena, what happened on that night?”
“You were correct in your assumption that Cordeir’s people wouldn’t play by our rules and principles, and they surrounded me when I was barely five miles away from the Academy.”
The war had already been fought and won, and Livinia knew that the question swirling around in her mind wouldn’t alter anything, but she had to know. Respectfully, she asked, “What did they do to you?”
“I remember very little of the attack, although I believe that death came quickly.”
Livinia frowned, then asked, “If spirits of our departed go to the Kingdom, is he there, Cordeir?”
“No lover, the Kingdom is for heroes and legends, not cowards or traitors, and our Father brings in only those who deserve to be here.”
“Have you met him, Mephistopheles?”
“In a visual sense no, although his presence surrounds the Kingdom.”
With tears streaming from her eyes, Elizabeth rocked backwards and forwards on her knees, then as she clasped her hands together in her lap, she said with a gush of pride, “Mel, you are a hero to us, and everybody speaks about your bravery and loyalty, and to us, the Pistols, you will never be forgotten..”
“Hmmm, I still remember seeing those assholes surround me, and I must admit I was terrified, but then I thought, okay, if this is my end, why not try and take a few of them out as well.”
“M-Mel, you used to be such a pain in the backside, but when the time came to show what you were really made of, you showed us all that you deserve to reside amongst the heroes and legends.”
“Ohhh Bethy, you’re beautiful.” Mel crooned, then she said dismissively, “And I wasn’t a pain in the backside.”
Elizabeth didn’t know whether she was allowed to have a subtle dig at a spirit, but she couldn’t help herself as she said shyly, “Yes you were, when we first met you were a pain in the backside, and you were horrible to me.”
“Ohhh, yeah true, and I guess I deserved the nickname, Fruitcake.”
“You sure did.”
“At the start I used to think that you were just a typical non-thinking religious dork, and in the early days, I kept thinking, How come she’s always trying to be so nice to everybody? As we got to know each other, it finally dawned on me that that was who you are, you were simply a really nice person.”
Elizabeth bowed her face and mumbled, “I, I’m a really nice person who misses you so much.”
“Hey Bethy, one day we’ll be reunited,” Melanie said consolingly, then she added, “Plus I see that you have someone new to cuddle up to.”
“You can watch us, you can see what we do?”
“Not everything Bethy, I mean Athena said that we will become aware of the positive or significant events that happen to the clan.”
“Okay, so you know that Giddy is now an un-offical Pistol?”
“Yes, and I do remember her.”
“She’s a little bit whacky and coarse, although she seems to be fitting in quite well, in some areas anyway.”
“Tell me about her.”
“Ummm, she’s, she’s … ummm, very outgoing, and in a sexual sense, she’s quite in demand at the moment.”
“How come?”
“Errr, well you remember our grand and solid bed frames?”
“The beds, yes, of course.”
“Well she broke all the frames and now all of our matresses are on the ground.”
“Why did she break the beds?”
“Ummm, it wasn’t intentional, it’s just that she’s very physical and aggressive in sexual situations. Ruby said that she’s like a crazed cartoon character.”
“Well Beth, I’m pleased that you’ve got someone to cuddle up to, but how are the others, is everybody well?”
“Yes, everybody’s fine, and the craziness at the Academy continues to roll on.”
“I’m really pleased, and tell everybody that I miss them.”
“We all miss you Mel.” Elizabeth replied, then she said with a waver in her voice, “In, in the battle, you saved my life, I mean one of them had me helpless on my back, and, and you saved me.”
“Bethy, honestly, I thought that we were all going to die, but I made commitment to myself to protect you no matter what the cost.”
“Ohhh, my brave Vampire in Shining Armour!” Elizabeth gushed.
“I guess Beth, when I finally stopped being a major dork, and I accepted you for who you really are, I just fell hopelessly in love with you, because you’re the nicest person on the entire planet.”
“Ohhh thanks Melanie,” Elizabeth mocked tearfully, “I’m trying to control my emotions, and then you go and say things like that.”
Melanie smiled, then said, “Beth …”
Sobbing, Elizabeth asked, “What?”
With a broad smile now, Melanie exclaimed, “Flipping Cheese Crackers!”
Elizabeth laughed, and Melanie said, “I’ve always wanted to say that.”
“Ohhh no, don’t tell me that even though you’re in the after-life, I’m exerting some kind of influence over you?”
“Yeah, you sure are Baby, a very positive and embracing influence.” Melanie replied, then she asked, “So all the couples are still together?”
“Yes, although Aleisha and Piper still conduct their weekly rosters, and our new member Giddy also has a roster, and ohhh, Aleisha was feeling sorry for me, so I will now get to spend two nights in the Royal Bed, or should I say, the Royal Mattress on the Ground.”
“Wow, bonus!”
“Yes, and Aleisha also said that while I’m recovering, I don’t have to worship and beg before her.”
“Goodness me, Camel being considerate of someone else’s feelings? Well blow me down!”
“Yes, she’s been wonderful, I mean all the gang have, but I think that I’ll still worship before Aleisha, because it’s kind of a hard habit to break.”
“So Beth, you’re at the witches estate?”
“Yes, the main reason we came was that Apollonia wanted to try and contact you and Athena, but it has turned into a bit of a party.”
“Party with the witches, wow!”
“You can’t see us Mel, I mean you can’t see what everybody’s doing?”
“No, although a feeling trickled into me, a feeling that you’re all happy.”
“Yes we are, and not long ago we had this very nice, albeit naughty experience.”
“What happened?”
“There is a lake on the property, and the lake was covered in a blanket of mist, and the naked witches strode into the lake and disappeared, then not long after, they appeared again, lying on the mist.”
“They levitated?”
“Yes, they did. Then Apollonia told us to go to them, and Mel, it was unbelievable, because we were walking on the mist and then we lay with a witch.”
“Goodness, I used to think that Aleisha was making it up when she told us about sex in mid-air, but it’s true?”
“True and unforgettable.”
“Sexually, what are they like, witches?”
“Hmmm, accessible and passionate.”
“Ohhh Bethy … I … for … see …”
Elizabeth fretted as she said, “Mel, Mel, you’re fading!”
“Beth, Bethy, you’re fad…”
Suddenly frantic, Elizabeth declared, “Mel, Melanie, I love you, I love you so much!”
The image in the flames flickered out, although static words rang out. “I’m still overwhelmed … and … enchanted by … you.”
Elizabeth stared at the diminishing flames, and she asked hopefully, “Mel?” She glanced behind her and she saw Livinia with her head bowed. “Livinia, is she gone?”
Livinia swivelled to face her and nodded as she said, “Yes.”
Apollonia walked into the clearing and said, “Sorry Suckers, I can’t control how long it goes for.”
Livinia stood and then hugged her as she said, “Thank-you for doing that, thank-you for giving me one of the most memorable and important experiences of my life.”
Elizabeth hugged her as well. “Thank-you Apollonia, like Livinia, I will never forget what I just experienced.”
“My pleasure ladies.”
“Apollonia …”
Apollonia faced Livinia and asked, “What?”
“Can this happen again, can we do this another night?”
“Well let me say that it appears that you Blood Sucker’s have spirits, so yes, this can happen again, although only on this particular night.”
“The beginning of Samhain,” Elizabeth nodded knowingly, “When the veil between the living and the dead is at its thinnest.”
“How do you know that Cutie?” Apollonia asked.
“I’ve always had an interest in different religions and cultures, and I’m aware of the beliefs and practises of witchcraft.”
“Sure, so next year, if you Suckers want to pop in …”
“After speaking to my soulmate again, and also, errr … after some of the other stuff that has occurred on this night, wild horses couldn’t keep me away.” Elizabeth replied.
*
In a solid embrace, Jenna rested her face on Piper’s shoulder and said quietly, “Are we still friends?”
Piper skimmed her hand through her hair and replied brightly, “Fucking A!”
Jenna gazed at her and asked, “So no regrets about what we did?”
“No regrets Jen, just permanent memories.”
So comfortable cuddling into the vampire, Jenna said thoughtfully, “Sometimes passions get aroused and people do things that they regret later on, but this won’t come back to haunt you?”
“Jeez Jen, when the memory drifts back, it will excite me.”
Jenna smiled, then said quietly, “I’m pleased, because I’ve always wanted to kiss you.”
“Really?”
“Yes, yes I have.”
“Like what, when we were human?”
“Yes.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“God Piper, I adored you and I looked up to you, but I was also a little bit intimidated by you.”
“Yeah, ya little douchebag.”
“Haa, I haven’t been called a douchebag for three years, so thanks for resurrecting the memory.” Jenna said as she cuddled in closer to her and asked, “So what happened, how did you become a vampire?”
Piper looked at her, then turned her gaze to the sky as she replied, “It was summer 2016 yeah, and it was hot, so I was trying to score some booze, but everybody was telling me to fuck off, so I started heading back, and then I saw this lady taking some money out of an ATM. I didn’t feel good about it, but I waved my knife around and said, Thanks lady. She’d withdrawn three hundred, and I thought, yeah, us guys sure need the money, but I felt shitty about robbing a defenceless woman, so I gave her back one hundred and fifty.”
“Ohhh, the Robin Hood of Sioux Falls,” Jenna laughed, “The thief with a conscience.”
“Yeah, anyway, she didn’t appreciate my act of generosity, because she started screaming the Heavens down, so I bolted and went scampering down the laneways and alleys, and yeah, I don’t even member crashing into my Master, but yeah, shit happened and he turned me.”
Jenna gazed at her and said, “I remember I was frantic for days, and I looked everywhere for you, I mean I checked all the hospitals, and then in desperation, I finally reported you missing to the police.”
“Okay, well let’s hope that the cops never find me,” Piper smirked, “What about you, what happened to you?”
“Well with you gone, there was only three of us left, and some of those scumbags started getting heavy on us.”
The Alley and the Mall boys?”
“Yes.”
“Ass-holes.”
“Indeed, so we kept moving but they kept finding us, and they always took whatever we’d managed to scrounge, and then, then, you know, they did stuff to us.”
Piper frowned then muttered, “Hmmm, one night I might travel back there and pay them a little visit.”
“So yeah, my life was a nightmare anyway, but it just seemed to be getting worse, and Belinda ended up going back to her parents, and Lynne decided to try and hitch-hike her way to the West Coast, so I was starving, frightened, alone and penniless, so I decided, Goodbye cruel world.”
“You killed yourself?”
“No I didn’t, although my intention was to kill myself, I mean I sucked this guy off for a twenty, then I bought some booze and got drunk, because I knew that I could never go through with it if I wasn’t plastered; so yeah, I’m blubbering in a laneway, drinking booze and coming closer to my suicide, then this shape appeared before me and started talking to me.”
“Apollonia?”
“No, Daisy actually. She said, Don’t do it. I was drunk and I said, I hate my life and I can’t go on anymore. She sat down next to me and said, When you reach the end of the line, instead of killing yourself, there are alternatives. I was too drunk to understand what she was saying, but she sat with me for hours, and I ended up falling asleep in her lap. The next day, I woke up in a motel room, and Daisy had written a note for me that said, I sleep during the day, but if you are still here in the evening, I would like to discuss a new life for you. Obviously I was thinking, ohh uhh, Nutbag Alert, although she had brought food for me and given me shelter for the night. So I hung around, and when she got up that evening, she told me that she had been in a similar position to me, although she had taken the biggest risk of her life, and now her life was really exciting. I still thought she was a weirdo, you know, why is she bothering to help me; but eventually she told me that she was a witch, and of course I was thinking, Ohhh for fucks sake, get real! But she did some amazing stuff and I was freaking out.”
“What kind of stuff?”
“She was pointing at objects and then the objects would sail over to her, and my mind’s spinning, and she said, I am a witch, I am a supernatural being. I was seriously considering bolting, but then she did something that changed the course of my existence.”
“What, what did she do?”
“She kept saying, I am undead, I am a supernatural being, so I’m going, No, I don’t believe you! She mixed up this potion then snorted it in, then she said, Watch me. Slowly she started to rise off the ground, and I’m freaking out big time, and she slowly rotated until she was lying on her back, and I mean lying on her back in mid-air, so I was shit scared. Anyway, we ended up talking all night, and she told me about her coven and what they do, and even though I wasn’t convinced, I was interested. She had to bed down before the sun came up, but she said if I wanted to join her, she would take me to her coven the next night. So I spent all day thinking about it, wondering if it was real, but I mean in the end, my life as it was at that time was a nightmare, I mean you’d been missing for more than a month by that stage, so I just thought, okay, I am at rock bottom, so why not take the risk.”
“So what happened then?”
“We were back at the coven the next night and I met everybody, and Apollonia said, Every life is precious, and you don’t destroy the gift of life, you change it. So the entire coven were present, and Apollonia performed a ceremony, then she killed me.”
“Killed you?”
“Piper, I’m undead; I was killed then resurrected.”
“How did she kill you?”
“I didn’t know at the time, but I have seen the ceremony performed since then. Our way is to cut the chest open and expose the heart, and Apollonia kills the subject by slicing five cuts across the heart. The five cuts signify the Five Elements of nature, then potions and mixtures are placed over the cuts and also directly into the heart, each potion and mixture specially designed to make the subject stronger, more powerful and also wiser.”
“What about if she fucked it up though, I mean you couldn’t get anything more dangerous or deadly than slicing open a person’s heart?”
“The ceremonies have been performed for hundreds of years and then handed on to the next generation, and Apollonia told me that she has never lost anyone during a ceremony.”
“Yeah well, I’m glad she didn’t lose you.”
“Me too.” Jenna smiled.
Piper tickled the fingers of her right hand over Jenna’s left breast, then she said quietly, “They cut your heart open, but there’s no scar.”
“I’m a witch Piper, and we have advanced healing powers.”
“So you’ve got advanced healing powers,” Piper nodded, then she added cheekily, “And good tits.”
“Thank-you, and you have my permission to get to know them better.” Jenna replied. She looked into her eyes, then asked, “We’ve been taught a lot about your type, but tell me, is it true that if you don’t drink blood you will die?”
“True.”
“So how do you go with that, I means it seems kind of icky.”
“Hmmm, it’s hard to explain to someone different, but we were told that when you drink blood, you inherit all the victim’s strengths and energies, and in a way, that is what its like, drinking it in and then almost feeling like you’re stronger with each sip.”
“So if you keep drinking blood, you keep getting stronger?”
“In a subjective manner yes.”
“What do you mean?”
“We don’t become physically stronger by drinking blood, we become emotionally stronger and more energised.”
“Hmmm, I guess I’ll just say that I’m happy I’m a witch, because drinking blood sends a shiver down my spine.”
“Hang on, haven’t you sampled the vampire blood we gave you?”
“Ohhh, yes, I have.”
“And?”
“Vampire blood is a gift from the Gods, and we love it, because there is no greater high than the one you get from drinking vampire blood.”
“So there you go, we both drink blood.”
“Yes, but we sip from a cup, and you guys, well …”
“Hmmm, we’re both undead, although we are different.” Piper surmised.
“Yes, we’re undead, although I’ve never felt so alive.”
Piper gazed at her and asked, “Jen, that first night I saw you again, when you guys crashed into the Academy, Apollonia said that your group was intending to hit that drug lab.”
“Yeah, we’d been watching it for awhile.”
“Is that what you guys do, rob joints?”
“We were talking about Robin Hood before, and I guess Apollonia is like Robin Hood, stealing from the rich, or in actual fact, stealing from the rich criminals, then spending their money.”
“So you only steal from bad guys?”
“Yes, I mean there’s a lot of wealthy criminals in New Orleans.” Jenna replied, then she asked, “What do you vampires do?”
“We’re on a similar path, I mean we need to drink blood to survive, but our clan only targets the evil and the depraved, and if they just happen to have a little cash floating around, well yeah, thanks bad guys.”
“Yes, well unfortunately there’s plenty of evil depraved beings right across the country.”
“And we’re doing our bit to reduce the numbers.” Piper said brightly.
“It’s funny Piper, I mean we were taught that you vampires were vicious and dangerous, but you’re just like the gal I used to know, except with, with … fangs.”
“Yeah, well we were taught that if we wandered into your territory, you would kill us, yet here I am caressing your tits.”
“Yes, and feel free to keep doing it.” Jenna replied.
“Are you hooked up with anybody here?”
“Yes, me and Vicky are an item.”
“What a coincidence, I’m hooked up with our Vicky.”
“Lucky you, because she seems nice.”
“She is, she’s a beautiful person.”
“Are any of the other vampires hooked up?”
“Yeah, we’re all coupled up, I mean Isabelle and Sophia are an item, so are Elizabeth and Giddy, and Ruby is hooked up with Aleisha.”
“Lucky Ruby.”
Piper laughed and said, “What about the other witches?”
“Well Charlene and Davina are an item, Daisy and Elsie are almost inseparable, and Jess and Deb hang together.”
“So they’re steady relationships, but do you guys fool around?”
“Well there’s no rules, so we engage with however we want. I mean Apollonia lays with me maybe once a week, and Davina advises us when Charlene wants to engage with one of us, and there’s threesomes or foursomes or whatever-somes always happening.” Jenna replied. She gazed at Piper and asked, “What about you?”
“Well like I said, I’m hooked up with Vicky, but I try and pop in and see everybody at least once a week.”
“Ohhh, Piper Macleay, the Vampire Slut!” Jenna laughed.
“Yeah well, it’s the enhanced senses thing.”
“Explain that to me.”
“Enhanced senses?”
“Yes.”
“Well once we were all fully converted, all, and I mean all of our senses were enhanced, so we can shit hear shit from a mile away, and we can see shit from a mile away and we can also see in the dark as if it were day-time, and orgasms, well yeah …”
“So your orgasms have been enhanced?”
Piper stared into the deep night, then said, “Just think about your vision, and you can probably see things clearly from two hundred yards away, but we can see things from two thousand yards away, so yeah, in respect to orgasms, just multiply that out.”
“What are you saying, that your orgasms are ten times better?”
“Jeez Jen, I’m not a scientist, all I know is that when someone tickles my puss, I just blow the fuck up, and then my mind clicks over and I start thinking, Okay, when can we do that again?”
“Hah, hah,” Jenna laughed, “So Vampire Macleay is a slut?”
“I think Isabelle mentioned that because of our enhanced senses, all vampires are sluts.”
“So your partner, Vicky, she’s the same?”
Piper thought about it, then replied, “On a level of slutiness, Vick’s a few levels below me, but yeah, she goes off.”
“What about Aleisha?”
“Aleisha’s on the same level as me.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, I mean the bitch just loves being her, and blowing out major orgasms is what she does.”
“Hmmm, that’s got my mind ticking over.”
“What, you fancy her?”
Jenna gazed at her and said, “Piper, she is the most stunning looking female that I’ve ever laid eyes on.”
“Want me to hook you up with her?”
“Maybe my time with her will come, but I’m enjoying this.”
“What, you and me?”
“Yes, you and me.”
“Yeah, the pitiful homeless gals from Sioux Falls,” Piper began, “Now the supernatural beings with the brightest of futures.”
Jenna kissed her and said affectionately, “The important thing is that we’ve been reunited, because I thought I’d lost you forever.”
“And now that we’ve found each other, I never wanta lose contact again.”
“Well I think this night is going to make our groups feel more comfortable about each other.”
“Yeah,” Piper nodded, then as a thought swirled in her mind, she said, “Jen, Aleisha told me why your guys came to our aid, so I guess me and the rest of my clan owe our survival to you.”
“Yeah, well I rode down that night and I saw them outside your gates, dozens and dozens of them, and I just thought, Ohhh dear, this doesn’t look like a social gathering, so I raced back and told Apollonia.”
“Jeez, I guess we owe our lives to your boss as well, because she could have just said, So what, let them fend for themselves.”
“True, but one of them fitted the description of Troggo who had tortured and killed one of ours, so when I described him to Apollonia, she said determinedly, Ladies of the PRW, prepare yourselves for battle.”
“It was still gutsy though, I mean even with your group joining us, we were still hopelessly out-numbered.”
“Yes, but our creed is very simple; if someone cuts down one of ours, we go after them. Apollonia has always said that it doesn’t matter how big the numbers are or how fearsome our enemies are, if they cut down one of ours, the PRW will seek revenge.”
“Hmmm, anyway let’s wander over and grab a champagne, because I wanta toast you and your Queen.”
“Yeah, soon maybe,” Jenna whispered. She leant into Piper and kissed her, a lingering, passionate kiss, then she pulled away and stared into her eyes as she asked, “Is the vampire feeling slutty?”
As was her way, Piper didn’t reply, she let her actions answer the question.
