Absolute Chaos

Chapter 3.

Azure-Alkun

7,842 BCE

Chaos had called her. The dark Angel made her way swiftly to the tallest peak on Azure-Alkun, trembling, completely terrified. Mieli had not been summoned by Chaos for many millenniums and feared what she had in store this time.

Flying higher into the stratosphere, she moved throughout this thinner air, it moved through her lungs differently to the denser air below.

Finally landing, Mieli folded her huge black wings by her side, the stark silence splintering around her, slicing at her pure heart.

It was dark up here on this peak of the mammoth mountain range, jagged rocks poked their heads high into the black sphere above, guarding the vast azure lands beneath them. She could see the vivid spray of silver stars much clearer up here, their magnificence thoroughly striking against the inky black sky.

Hot blood pumped between Mieli’s ears, her heartbeat climbed, hammering into her chest, trying desperately to escape its delicate cage. She quickly absorbed her surroundings, knowing this part of the huge planet was forbidden to all but the Divine, yet Chaos had called her, summoned her to come.

Hundreds of trillions upon billions, of black glasslike shards littered the vast mountains peak, standing tall like stalagmites, thrusting their way out from the harsh rock, glistening like polished obsidian into the infinite darkness.

Mieli was perplexed, rapidly scanning the glass field, noticing each razor sharp splinter cast no shadow, although it seemed to swell with a blackness, each shard moved within great thick spirals of a dark, tar-like substance.

No noise could be heard, the eerie nothing loomed amid the strange stratosphere, suffocating her with an intense anxiety, crushing her lungs. The silence scattered over the dark mountains peak in claustrophobic waves, the quite intensity squeezing her essence into turmoil.

Amid the eerie calm a strange tepid breeze whipped up from the nothingness, smoothing the sleek air over her heated sweaty flesh, cooling her copper skin. The breeze blew into a cool swirling wind, it sliced at her skin in hectic loops, trying to consume her core.

Chaos had now come, engulfing Mieli’s mind, gripping at her spirit and taking her consciousness to terrifying heights. The wonder moved within, her awesome creator coalesced within every fibre of her being, caressing her, loving her.

Chaos’s sweet melody embodied her spirit, it echoed amid ripples of mind shattering awe, her tune was that of the heavens, swelling into a sweet symphony, divine beyond all comprehension.

Chaos moved within Mieli’s mind, whispering her fears, telling Mieli what she must do.

And then as quickly as her creator had come, she vanished. Time folded back in on itself, the melody in which Chaos had created shattered and boomed to its ultimate crescendo, shifting from the dark Angel, leaving her forgotten and empty inside.

The frozen numbness was back, an oppressive silence moved within.

Falling to her knees, sobbing uncontrollably, Mieli quivered beneath the eerie nothing, her copper flesh paled, her breath came out too shallow, suppressing the air from her lungs.

After a time, Mieli stood, gulping in the strange air from the forbidden mountains peak and walked between the forest of shadowless glass. She could see the long dark shard between the billions she sought, it seemed to move differently from the others, silently calling out her name, caressing her soul.

Tentatively she reached out towards the sharp obsidian, the imminent dread immediately seeping into each of her bones, crushing her heart and spirit. Only her fingertips brushed at the tarry black surface, yet it quickly surged into life, immediately stealing each shadow from inside her.

Great swirls of colour swum from the portals eerie depths, Mieli could see an endless ocean of planets, suns, moons, and quasars, billions upon billions of stars littered the black space right before her very eyes and rapidly filled the sleek glass.

The Angel’s silver irises filled with insane wonder, witnessing this moved her beyond anything life had thrown at her so far.

In the field made from the strange black glass, each small shard was one of trillions of galaxies, this was where Chaos placed each galaxy she created once it was formed. Every shard was a portal to a different galaxy, each galaxy held a unique cosmos that was filled with celestial light, multiverses and wormholes.

The glass turned to a cool thick liquid in Mieli’s hand, letting her fingertips sink into the foreboding substance, she could now hold this unique entire galaxy in her small hand.

Its blackness swarmed around the exquisite being, engulfing her in its cruel gloom. Icy madness crept under her flesh, daring her, coaxing her to let her spirit go, gripping her heart like a vice.

Infinite time shattered, Mieli was fiercely sucked into a freezing cold void, it ripped at her soul and splintered her mind.

The insanity embodied each tiny fibre of which she was made, twisting it to liquid and squeezing her pure life back to the nothingness from which she was so intricately created.

Her blood turned to ice, smashing the air from within, gripping her with a mind bending madness. The sludge squeezed tighter around Mieli, oozing inside, invading what was hers. She was ripped from reality, everything became unbearable, an icy agony slipped amid her pure soul.

An unfathomable roar split the dark matter, twisting the dark energy and warping the fate. Her mind was screaming, she could not move her hands to her ears, they were pinned viciously at her sides.

This turbulent force had consumed her, desperately ripping the Angel apart, depraving her body and spirit, tormenting each nerve ending with a constant stream of blinding agony. This profound torture grated her already shattered mind, shredding each thought into searing pain, believing she would surely die.

Then she shattered the atmosphere and slipped between this finite time and came crashing into the hard rock, tearing the ground beneath her. Mieli had finally come through the other side of the portal and the strange planet Earth now loomed around her.

The extraordinary creature stood, her legs a trembling mess and threw her head back into the dark inky sky, screaming. Two dark wings soared up along side her, then softly folded back into her existence, crushing into her flesh and bones, vanishing from sight.

The sweet swirling blackness took her then, swarming throughout her entire being, lulling her into to an endless, dreamless sleep.
