Chapter Chapter Eighteen
The chains swung from the table one by one as the Fae male was released from the stone that he was bound to. The Dwarf once again stretched out every limb of his body whilst he sat upright unable to move on his own. Relief and pain chorused through him with every crack of his joints and pull on his muscles.
The door abruptly opened and the dark haired woman sauntered into the room. For the first time he was able to get a proper look at the person who was keeping him captive. She wore light make-up, only accenting on certain features. Her lips, her eyes. Those eyes…they were as if evil itself had flooded into her soul using her eyes as the door.
He was not afraid of them, of her. Not after being here so long. The only thing he was afraid of was getting stronger till the point where another one of those knives would be stabbed through his body.
“Has he made any improvements?” the woman asked the Dwarf, once again speaking as if he was not in the room.
“It is too early to tell, my Lady. In a month’s time he may be able to walk on his own, but so far it has only been a week and he can barely move his fingers,” the Dwarf replied.
It annoyed the Fae male to no end on how he was practically paralysed, probably more so than his captivators. It seems like everyone would prefer the process to be sped up.
“When you are finished for the day do not tie him down,” the woman demanded, her eyes trailing over his body.
He had been muscular once, strong enough to hold up his six foot four height rather than flop around like fish as he did now. He wanted to reach that state again. He wanted to get explore beyond these four walls. He wanted so many things like any other creature. Everything was driven by desire and want, yet rarely did they achieve their goals.
“I need to move onto phase two and to do that we need to run this last test. Give him the higher protein and carbohydrate foods. Get the other guards to take him outside to see the sun. Use whatever medications that will make him stronger.”
“Yes, my Lady. May I ask what phase two is?” the Dwarf inquired.
“No, you may not,” she coldly replied. With that she exited the room, leaving him alone with the Dwarf who muttered something in his own language.
Food was forced into his mouth, water fed to him like a child. Soon enough the dwarf exited the room as well. He could not move around, but his body was no longer trapped by chains and for that he was thankful.
