He wanders the streets of Milan and ends u in back alleys in clandestine fights.
Don Samuel walks one day with his right hand. He looks for young men to recruit, for the younger and needier they are, t more loyal they are to the hand that feeds him. Not all of them will be one hundred percent faithful, but he knows how tc handle them so that they know that the Don cannot be betrayed. He watches the fight carefully; that young man wins the battle. His gaze shows nothing. Don Samuel knows that this young man will have a great future at his side.

Leonardo sees nothing wrong behind that, so he accepts the deal. From that day on his life changes. Don Samuel treats h like a father. He also bribes several people to take his surname. Leonardo meets Fernando two days after arriving at the mansion. They become good friends, until they become adopted brothers.
When Don Samuel dies, Fernando does not object to Leonardo taking the highest office. He always knew that the positior should be his, since he is better at business and handles the guards superbly.
Before Don Samuel dies, Don Samuel and Fernando discover the nature of the Don and accept him without hesitation. samuel gives him the hut so that he can roam the forest freely and not be seen by other humans.
Leonardo never felt the absence of a father until Samuel died.
He wonders what happened to his father and his pack, but his wounded pride and anger towards them will not allow hi to go there ever again.
