Paul looked at Bun. He felt sorry for her, but he did not open his mouth to comfort her. He did not know what to say. The only thing he could do was to accompany her.
He could no longer care about Bun like he used to because he knew that Bun did not need him anymore. Bun had got married to Brian, therefore things would never work out between them. It was like he had a thorn in his throat that would hurt him every time he swallowed.
He needed to let her go, but it was just too difficult for him.
"Don't worry too much, Bun. there is still a way that may help. Quick and dirty, but works every time." Charles felt silent for a moment before he finally spoke up.
"What is it?" Bun's eyes suddenly lit up.
"Since we could not prove that the whole thing had been planned by Rosy, then we could try to find a way to let her admit to it herself."
Linda immediately understood what Charles had meant. She and Charles both looked at each other, and then she said, "Are you talking about a voice recording or a video recording?" "Darling, you're so smart!" Charles petted Linda's head with a proud smile.
Anna, who was watching this interaction, shrank her neck and blushed.
"Of course!" Linda felt proud of herself. She always liked it when Charles would coax her.
Looking at Charles's curved eyebrows, Linda thought that there was only one person in the world who could make her happy, and that was her one and only husband.
"Okay, that's enough..., Young Master, My Lady, please don't show off your relationship. Could you please be sensitive about my feelings, watching you guys act like that..."
After Anna had finished studying, she had immediately entered the Mu's private hospital and became a doctor there ever since. But she still had not met anyone that attracted her. In fact, she was happy to be single.
As a doctor, Anna had seen all kinds of people, especially men who were legit scumbags in their relationships.

But, in front of so many people, Linda felt that it was not appropriate to ask her, So she kept quiet.
"There are good men in the world, Anna. You have to believe it. Once you do, you will find someone who's right for you, "
Said Charles after a moment of silence.
"I don't want to meet anyone. Anyway, I'm happy now, and that is enough for me. I don't need to be tied up to some man. Moreover, I don't want to have kids... Young Master, with all due respect, if you hadn't been so kind to Lady Linda, I would think that you were a scum, too..."
Charles's mouth twitched slightly, and he got defensive. "Why am I a scum? I had not hooked up with any other women before I met Linda!"
Paul nodded. It was true that Charles had not hooked up with any other woman. To be honest, Paul had not quite figured out, yet, why Charles and Linda had become a couple so quickly. Plus, Charles had warmed up to Linda in no time. The magic of mutual affection was unbelievably strong.
Paul had never imagined that Charles would fall in love with anyone. Not only because the people who fell in love with him always met tragic fates, but also because
Charles had never pitied any woman.
There were still several important meetings that Charles and Paul had to attend to, so after the discussion, they both left for the company.
Even if it was already September, the weather was unusually hot.
Linda was only wearing a shirt, but she was still feeling hot inside the room.
Unfortunately, she was with child, so she dared not turn on the air-conditioning, else the room temperature would be too cold, which was not good for the babies.
Even this early, she could already feel how it was to love as a parent. Since she became pregnant, she had made a lot of sacrifices and compromises for the babies inside her womb.
In order to let Linda have a peaceful nap, Anna brought a fan with her.
"My Lady, you can sleep for a while. I will be fanning you while you rest."
Linda shook her head and said, "No, you don't have to. I will sleep for hours. Your arms would break before I would even wake up. I can't let you do that."
"No, it would not. After a while, you
will fall asleep and not feel the heat any longer. When you do, then I would stop fanning you. When people fall asleep, their body temperature becomes lower than average. My Lady, your body would get cold when you sleep, and you won't sweat any more."
Linda did not try to refuse her offer because she really wanted to take a nap, so she lay in bed, with Anna sitting beside her, fanning her gently.
As soon as she lay down, Linda remembered that Anna had said that she preferred to live alone all her life, Rather than to look for a man to take care of her.
Linda was also into gossiping, so she got curious. "Anna, can I ask you something? You could choose to not answer it if you don't want to." Hearing what Linda said, Anna felt amused. She, then, asked, "What's up? What do you want know, My Lady?"
"Just now when we were in the study, didn't you say that you would like to live alone all your life? Why do you think that all of the men in the world are all scums? Have you been hurt before?"
Linda wanted to ask more, but she was afraid that she might hurt Anna's feelings by prying into Anna's sad memories. Linda discreetly judged Anna's expression, but she found nothing unsual. "My Lady, you're really thinking about this too much. How could I get hurt if I had never fallen in love? When I was in school, I had a crush on a senior, at most, but that was it." Linda was stunned.
How could Anna be so adamant about not wanting to fall in love when she had never been in love?
Linda glanced at her once again. There was a hint of loss flashed through Anna's eyes.
"Do you really want to know, My Lady?"
Linda nodded like a bobblehead figure. She liked listening to these kinds of stories.
"Then, I'll tell you, but you must not tell anybody else!"
"Of course I won't." Linda gestured zipping her mouth.
Anna took a deep breath and explained, "My Lady, you know that when I was very young, my parents died in a car accident. It was the Mu clan who had helped me finished my studies and sent me to the best medical school in California, the Loma Linda University Medical School. After that, I stayed in the private hospital of the Mu clan when I returned home, to repay Lord Mu's kindness to me."
