A Secret Alpha Mate

I head downstairs not able to get back to sleep after Haley's intrusion. I run into Alpha Jackson coming down from his room at the same time.

“Alpha, Jackson” I smile and clap him on the back, “Just the man I was looking for”

“Please, just call me Jackson. I was looking for you, as well"

“Well go on my boy, shall we go somewhere more private to talk?” I say, eyeing a few omega’s that are wheeling their cleaning trolley behind me. I can't trust the omegas anymore and I don’t want them to hear anything private, even thougI ordered them not to speak on such issues.

“If you'd like. Shall we go to your office?”

“Er -no." I can't have a visiting Alpha is my office, I'm getting it remodeled.” 1 lie. “How about we head downstairs? I'll get coffee sent to us in the ballroom, there's a few comfortable chairs in there and no one should be in there” He nods.

I mindlink Meghan to bring us up some coffee and pastries and have the fire lit in the ballroom.

“Now that's all settled, let's go."

“Lead the way.’ He says

Once we're settled in the chair by the fire I wait for him to start, curious what he's going to say about Hailey.

“My Gamma has returned to my pack, he will be coming back with a few of our warriors. One of your pack members left t pack last night. It makes sense that no one really noticed that there was a party going on.” I nod confused where he's goir with this, “The person that left the pack is of great importance to me, I believe she is my mate." I can't hide the shock on 1 face, things are starting to make sense, but there are still a few things I don't understand.

“And why do you believe this person to be your mate?”

“I followed her scent.”

“Her scent? You never saw her but you smelled her?” I ask incredulously, “Are you sure that this person is your mate?” “Ym sure.” He responds confidently.

“And she's gone? Where did she go?”

“m not sure, that's why my Gamma is bringing back a few of our best trackers. I hope that is okay with you, they won't be staying and we won't cause trouble. I can have them dropped off at the gate so that they won't even be near the packhouse.”

I nod, “That might be best.”

“I was wondering if you had any warriors to spare for the cause?” That took me by surprise.

“There was actually something else I wanted to talk to you about, I know this is a weekend to celebrate but there have be rogue sightings closer and closer to our pack borders. I couldn't pull that many of my warriors due to my pack’s safety, sc was hoping you could supplement our efforts. We are willing to provide incentive to any warriors you can spare.”

“I'll see what I can do, I don't really like our warriors leaving the pack grounds." I let slip

“Then how-"

“I, 1 just don't want to risk any of them if there are rogues out there.”

“I understand, but some of my best warriors will join them, and I will be out there myself, we won't separate too much, I just need as many people on it as we can. The longer she is out there the more of a chance that we won't find her”

“Vl see what I can do." I hope he just drops it, she’s probably dead out there anyway, then he can take a chosen mate, which would obviously be my daughter. They had a connection anyway, I saw it.

Meghan walks in wearing a slinky black skirt and a tight blouse, I take a moment to appreciate her figure.

“Thanks, they should be arriving within a few hours, I'm going to meet up with my Beta to start the search again, we appreciate your help on this matter”

I shake my head and meet her gaze for a second

Chatter starts filling the front room outside the door Meghan left open.

“I better get going, I don't want to hold you up any longer. Thanks for the coffee” He looks at Meghan and she smiles at him. “If you have a moment before we depart this weekend I would love to speak with you privately about the situation I mentioned.” I nod, I already had the rogue situation out of my mind. They would take care of it I'm sure, nothing we woul have to deal with.

I stand up and shake his hand.

“Meghan, do you mind staying for a minute?” I ask her as soon as Alpha Jackson is out of hearing range.

“Yes, my Alpha. Anything for you.” She licks her lips and I can feel my pants already getting tighter against my c**k.

“I wish, but now is not the time. I need to know anything you know about a missing pack member, someone that was in of around the packhouse yesterday.”

“I was so busy with the party I wouldn't have noticed,”

“Yes, but has there been any chatter about someone missing? Apparently, someone was at the party that vanished or ran away or something” Meghan looks confused, “I know it doesn't make sense, but Alpha Jackson of the Moonstone pack is apparently looking for some missing cinderella, vanishing without a trace” I scoff at the notion.

“I overheard a Beta saying that he was looking for someone, but he was talking to an omega for information, so it could hardly be who an Alpha was looking for.” She chewed her lip as she thought and then her eyes lit up with sudden realization, “ Wait the Beta was from the Moonstone Pack, too!”

“50 the Alpha is looking for an omega?” There is no way his mate is an omega.

“The only person that I know that is still unaccounted for is an omega.” Meghan looks at me.

"Who?"

“Isla.” She responds raising an eyebrow.

“She never turned up?”

“Not that I know of and I gave them all specific instructions to alert me when she was found.”

“Hm, I wonder. Do you think that she could have been Alpha Jacksons’ mate?” Meghan scoffs at this.

“Isla, being an Alphas mate?” She asks her voice getting high-pitched.

“This is fantastic’

“How is this fantastic? Since when did you give a flying f**k about Isla or any omega besides me?” She's getting hysterical now

“Baby, calm down. An Alpha, a powerful Alpha at that, mate is an omega, once I tell him that he's going to be sure to rejec her”

“You don't think that an omega could be Luna?” She asks an obviously loaded question.

“Not an omega as weak as Isla," I respond quickly, trying to appease her. Even though I know well that I would never take an omega as a mate even if she sucked d**k as good as Meghan does.

“I know he had chemistry with Hailey so there shouldn't be a problem taking her as his chosen mate." I muse. “If you see Julianna and Hailey send them in, please. I need to discuss this with them. Meghan pouts but nods.

“And Meghan?”

“Yes, Alpha?”

“This stays between us."

I wait until Hailey and Julianna come into the room, they look confused at the choice of location.

“sit sit.” I say and I wait for them to get settled.

“Well dear, what is it?" Julianna pleads, “Did you talk to Alpha Jackson?” Haley's eyes light up at the mention of his name. “Yes 1 did actually, and I have some good news. It turns out that his mate is an omega.”

“What?” Hailey stands up and shrieks, “There is no f****g way."

Julianna scoffs “Benjamin, an omega? How is that possible?”

“I have to say I'm confused too. But that doesn't matter. What does matter is when I tell Jackson that his mate is an omeg he will stop this stupid search for her, she’s probably dead anyway, and then reject her if she isn't” I pause and both of them look at me not seeing the point. “Then he will take a chosen mate, a second chance mate is so rare, and the Moon Goddess is already not favoring him because she mated him to an omega, I doubt he would get a second chance. What better chosen mate than the daughter of the neighboring packs Alpha?" I look at Hailey.

Hailey sits back down. “Do you think that he would choose her?” Julianna says, “I mean, obviously Hailey is a great choice but what if he doesn't?”

“There is no question in my mind that Hailey will be the next Luna of the Moonstone Pack.” I say confidently.

“They did have chemistry” Julianna agrees

Hailey squeals in delight. “What do you say about skipping breakfast and going on a little shopping spree to get you read for official Luna duty?” Julianna asks Hailey.

“Ym ready to go right now. When will you talk to him, Daddy?”

“The very next time I see him." I promise, “I'm sure that he will make the announcement before the weekend is over. Make sure you have some time with him tonight, and please, do not be too pushy, men hate that."

Hailey nods, but I'm not sure if she really understands. I just need Alpha Jackson to claim her as his before he realizes ho much of a pain in the a*s she really is.
