A Secret Alpha Mate

(Meghan)

The omegas are busy working on the finishing touches for Halley's ball. Hailey and her w***e mother are walking around the dining room with the party planner going over the finishing touches when I walk in.

“Hello, Hailey." I smile brightly at her, “Are you excited for your ball tonight?” She nods enthusiastically. “I wonder which one of the visiting Alpha’s is going to be your mate!" I raise my eyebrow at her and give her a sly grin. She squeals with excitement and opens her mouth to say something when the Luna cuts her off.

“Meghan, are you so rude as to not address all of your superiors when you enter a room?” Luna Julianna looks down at m my blood begins to boil, she does not deserve to be Luna.

“Julianna-" 1 start

“It's Luna to you."

I pause for a second, that word getting stuck in my throat, “Yes, Luna.” I managed to spit out, “I was just so excited for princess Hailey tonight that I had tunnel vision only for her” 1 use the word princess, as stupid as it sounds, because I kn Hailey loves it.

Hailey beams at me, “Yeah mom, stop being so dramatic.” She waves her mother away and links arms with me and walks across the foyer into the ballroom gushing the entire time about her outfit, her hair and makeup, and the men that woul fall at her feet.

I ohh and ahh at the perfect moments, keeping her interested and talking. This is one of the first chances that I got to be alone one-on-one with her and I could tell we were going to get along just fine.

When we finish walking around the ballroom I turn to her and take her hands in mine, “Why don't you go head upstairs ar start getting ready then? The guests will be here before you know it” She nods and heads to the door. “Oh, and Hailey?" I call out behind her.

“Yes?” She turns around to face me

“Let me know if you need anything at all, 'll be a call away”

“Thanks so much, Meghan, is it?”

“Yes, Hailey. I'm here for anything you need, I'l see you later” I give her a wink and turn back to surveying the ballroom. That went better than expected and I'm filled with a renewed sense of joy, knowing that I had her on my side.

Now that Hailey is occupied I head back to the dining room to see that the Luna and the party planner are in deep discussion over napkin arrangements and 1 quietly turn away to head to the stairs to meet with my Alpha.

Halfway up the first staircase I hear a voice call out to me and I turn around.

“Meghan?” Luna Julianna says with hate in her voice.

“Yes, Luna?” I spit out not moving closer to her.

“As an omega, you are not permitted to use the main staircase. Use the omega elevator or the back steps instead.” I freez angrier than ever with her.

“Off you go then, or do I have to order you?” She c***s her head to the side and stares at me. She knows pack members, besides the Alpha couldn't ignore a direct order from the Luna.

I walk past her down the stairs and quickly make my way to the elevators. I close the door behind me and hit the button the Alpha's floor, off to f**k that bitches “mate”.

The door dings and I make my way to my Alpha's office knocking twice before I hear his deep grumble saying to come in. knew he was expecting me. I plaster a seductive smile on my face and open the door. I turn to lock the door behind me when suddenly it's pushed open, shoving me to the ground. I look up to see Julianne’s pissed face glaring at me before anything else.

“What is the meaning of this?” Alpha Benjamin roars behind me.

“I didn't know you had company, or should I say a f*****g slave, in here to do your chores."

“Julianna.” Benjamin starts coming around the desk about to help me up but he pauses when he sees her staring. He lets out a sigh, “Meghan here is the lead omega, she is to be treated with respect for her position.”

“Oh all hail the leader of the slaves” Julianna mocks, throwing both hands in the air, “Shall I take a bow to one of the lowest members in the pack? Shall I, mate?” She spits at Alpha Benjamin.

“Meghan and I have some things to discuss, pack related things that need to be dealt with today. Ths is official business and 1 will not have you getting in the way of it” He states calmly, on the verge of raising his voice.

“Why not get Janice back? She was a lovely lead omega and had the experience and submissiveness that is needed from the lowest pack members.” The Alpha winces when she mentions her name.

“She left of her own accord, I'm not one to stop a pack member from returning to their family.” He says in a flat voice, “No Meghan and I do really have important matters that need to be discussed before this evening, my dear”

“Well then I guess you can call her when she returns to the basement because I have some things to discuss with you as well that has to do with our daughter” She retorts, “What are you still doing here?” She glares at me, “You filth are dismissed from my mates office”

I could sense, at least I hoped, that the Alpha was about to protest when we heard some giggles behind the door. The Alpha's face got red with embarrassment, or was it anger? And he stomped towards the door flinging it open, almost breaking the hinges causing me and The Luna to jump back. The Alpha looks both ways and then slams the door shut behind him glaring at both of us.

“I'm not sure why you two chose to make a f*****g scene today, but I'm not having it" He glares at both of us, I'm not sure what I did wrong, “Now get the f**k out of my office.” He roars an order. We both submit to his authority and are forced to obey.

“Meghan?” He says as I'm about to follow Julianna out of the room, I turn around, hoping he's asking me to stay with him front of his “mate”. “Figure out who those omegas were that are stationed to clean this floor. I want names. And a punishment, listening in on the Alpha's conversations, why that would have been unheard of with the previous Alpha.” He trails off angrily.

“Yes, sir" I nod my head and leave. Giving one last look to Julianna before I head to the omega elevators.

“Ugly whore” I hear her say as the elevator doors close behind me.
