A Millionaire, His Suit, And Poor Me

A Millionaire, His Suit And Poor Me Chapter 18

“It must be a bloody joke." whispered softly, looking at her. From Henris's amused look, I realized that he had probably heard my remark, but I didn’t care at the moment. She was incredibly beautiful. When I heard the call, I thought it would Cara. Now I was hoping it was her.

Her shiny blonde hair in perfect waves fell over her shoulders and down her back. A smile on his full lips and eyes that judged my jeans and T-shirt informal. Of course, she was wearing a tight red dress that highlighted her slight curves, as well as part of Dolce and Gabbana'’s latest collection.

“ am Clearshe finally said with a big smile on her face, offering a hand with a ring adorned with a huge black diamond. flouted in my head my style choices that night and I shook his hand.

“Noras.'I answered. Claire pursed her lips and turned to Henris.

“Will you introduce me?"He said in a sensual tone.

He let out a deep sigh and raised his head as he spoke. “Noras, this is my associate, Claire. Claire, this is my friend Noras! “It's a pleasure to meet you,” he said, in an overly enthusiastic tone. “And honestly Henris, my husband is your partner. N me.’

Henris clenched his jaw at her words and I looked at him, trying to make him hold back the anger that was about to erup could tell by the way she was talking to him and looking at him that they had been together in the past. And then she married Henris's partner.

“We were about to eat, before you honored us with your presence.’He said in a sarcastic tone, putting a hand on my lowe back. He pushed me slightly forward, making me walk towards the kitchen.

He took the chair for me and I sat awkwardly, almost tripping. Claire, on the other hand, sat perfectly in her chair, like a mannequin. I tried to hide my irritated expression when Henris left the room.

“So, Noras,” he said in an amused tone. “How did you meet Henris?"

“Um, I'm trying to get an interview for the magazine I work for.”

“What magazine?”

"Vogue."

“Oh,” he said with a smirk, looking at me. “Isn't this a fashion magazine?”

I breathed in slowly, squinting in his direction. “Yes, yes, it is."

“Hm."So the conversation ended. Fortunately, Henris returned a few minutes later, bringing three plates of chicken and vegetables. He quickly placed one in front of each of us before sitting down.

Henris was staring at me intently and I felt uncomfortable under his gaze until I understood his intentions. I immediately took a bite of my chicken and gave him a slight smile.

“Is everything all right?"He whispered, putting his hand on my knee under the table.

I nodded enthusiastically. “Yes, it's perfect.”

“He always does that.'Claire laughed. Henris turned around and gave her a look, which didn’t seem to bother her in the least. Instead, she gave him a smirk that probably put all the boys at her feet. But Henris just turned to me.

“How is Jace?" He asked.

“She's fine,” I replied cheerfully. “She has a new boyfriend, I think, because she keeps texting and it's annoying. And we could get a promotion. So yes, Jace is fine. However, I am not yet your biggest admirer.”

Henris seemed amused by my ramblings while Claire frowned. “I hope to change his mind."

“Good luck” said with annoyance, violently cutting my chicken.

“Noras,” said Henris, warning me to change my tone. I went back to my plate, taking a small bite, avoiding answering him. He quickly got angry. I could never tell when he was laughing at my insolence or when he was cold. “Claire, how is Marc?” “Good. It's kind of you to ask."He replied.

“The divorce is not in progress?”

“When is this happening?'The blonde smiled. He gave her a vague smile and returned to his food. I saw his knuckles turn white because of the force with which he held his fork, trying to restrain his anger. I had to restrain myself from laughing, which earned me a confused look from Claire and an impassive look from Henris.

“Are you going to tell us what's so funny?"He asked.

I still tried desperately not to laugh. “Uh, nothing - the chicken is really good. I have to pee.”

Henris burst out laughing. I looked at him, shocked, throwing his head back and putting his hand in front of his mouth to be silent. Her green eyes closed and her white teeth revealed themselves. Her prominent dimples appeared on her flushe cheeks.

Beautiful as hell. I'd never seen him like this, laughing so hard he could barely catch his breath. He then managed to caln down, only letting out a deep chuckle. He rested his head on his arm, peeking at me through his black jacket. Her eyes sparkled with amusement.

“I apologize,” he managed to say. “It was. Go to the bathroom, Noras."

I blushed incredibly and left the room, walking down the corridor decorated with black and white tiles. The large bathroo lit up when I turned on the light and walked over to the mirror. First, I rinsed my face with cold water, still unsure of what had happened a few minutes before.

I made Henris Steve laugh. He made fun of me, but it was so good that I didn’t care. He looked like a normal 24-year-old, not a stressed-out company CEO sitting between the woman he called his and what was apparently his ex-lover. 1 was stil confused by this whole situation.

sighing, I left the bathroom and walked down the hall. I heard low voices speaking urgently from the kitchen and stoppec immediately.

“Then I'll wait for him to leave”'said Claire.

“No. 1 told you he was spending the night here. Our relationship, if we can call it that, is non-existent at the moment." “What, is this your girlfriend, Henris?"

“Stop it, Claire,” he warned. “It's none of your business.”

“Of course I am. You need to focus on business. You don't have to be all emotional and weak. I can do whatever you want can be whatever you need”'She whispered.

I decided to make myself known, because I had had enough, and I walked into the kitchen with a smile. Henris's amusement disappeared and he gave Claire some bad looks, who in turn threw me some. Slowly, 1 sat down and continue eating, waiting for someone to start a conversation.

“So, Noras. Henris told me that you were his girlfriend?" The lascivious woman said. I could hear the venom in his voice, b before I could answer, Henris stood up. Panting, he leaned back against the table and stared at her.

“Go away.'He looked absolutely furious.

Claire smiled and stood up, winking at me. “If you insist, Henris. Will I see you tomorrow for the meeting?”

“Outside.’He growled.

I watched in silence as she leaned over to him and gave him a light kiss on the cheek before whispering something in his ear which obviously only made him more upset. He shrugged his shoulders and an expression of pure anger appeared or his face.

Under his gaze, she simply rolled her eyes and kissed him on the cheek again, giving me a nod as she walked away with a fake “Nice to have met your". While I, on the other hand, would be floored by my own tears if I ever received such a look from him.

slowly he sat down again, closing his eyes. I hesitated a little before putting my hand on his wrist. He suddenly opened h eyes, now of a darker shade.

“It's okay," I sighed. “Don’t be so angry."

“Noras, she burst in here despite the fact that I clearly told her that I had a guest. She disrespected you and I didn't like i I shook his hand reassuringly and let my fingers cross with his. His palm, normally cold, is now slightly sweaty. “She's a bitch." shrugged my shoulders.

“I know."

“Have you ever, uh, uh... you have...”

“Fucked?’He interrupted me. I nodded and he rolled his eyes. “Yes, we did. It was unprofessional of me. We are in a business arrangement in which your husband is also involved. Are you going to finish your dinner?”

“He was not afraid of you. And why do you care more about your affairs than about the fact that you could have ruined a marriage?”

He tilted his head to the side. “Don't ask any more questions, Noras."

“Just one?”

“Jesus Christ," he growled. “Just one.”

“When did it end?”l asked timidly.

“One last question.”

“No. You said I'd have one more. I chose that one,” I defended myself. He rolled his eyes and took my plate, now empty, from the table, and headed for the kitchen. I followed him, stubbornly: “Henris."

“Noras,” he copied to me, putting them in the sink. “You talk like a child. Do you really want to know the answer?”

“Yes!"I said, although I probably wouldn't have wanted to.

His expression drained of all emotion and he looked at me coldly. “It ended tonight when I said I wouldn't sleep with anyone else. It's been a part of my life for so long”

“And Cara?”

“Noras,” he warned. “Don't be naive. Cara was just fun. Now, come here. And don’t make me say please, I'm already angry because I had to answer your questions. You didn't need to know such things.”

I stared at the floor, watching my black boots walk on the tiles until they met Henris's black shoes. I played nervously wit my toes. To think he would be mean to me, even though he said he wouldn't be.

His fingers took me by the chin, lifting my gaze so that it met hers. “Are you tired?”

“Yes,” I admitted. “You're wearing me out. I don't know what it is, but just being near you takes all my energy away from me.’

“Wait until we start having sex. You're probably going to sleep for days."He whispered. My chin hit the ground when I hear his words and he gave me a smirk, stooping down to kiss me. His big hands took me by the waist, holding our groins together.

Her lips were divine on mine, making me electric at the mere touch. When he pulled out, I tried to hide my disappointme and played with the loop at the base of his neck.

“Come. Let's g0 to bed."He whispered as he took my hand and dragged me down the stairs. I obediently followed him upstairs. We stopped at the end of the corridor, in front of the large white door that would open to reveal the room that I had not yet seen.

He looked at me for a second before opening the door that revealed his room. As expected, it was filled with shades of black, white, and sometimes gray. A large white bed in the center, with white blankets.

A huge flat TV covered the wall opposite the bed, while a chest of drawers and a chair adorned the other corner. On each side of the bed was a small black table with impressive lamps. Folders and stacks of papers covered them.

Two doors on the wall in front of us. Henris first led me to the one on the left, revealing a huge dressing room. Costumes all shades are hung on one side, some more expensive than the others. An impressive wall of shoes on the other side an glass box filled with watches at the back of the cabin.

A slight hiss escaped my lips as he walked to a shelf with T-shirts. “Jace would be crying right now,” I laughed. “It's really cool”

“Cool?"He asked me with a smile, handing me a black T-shirt.

“You know, like, great,” I blushed. “That's what “good’ people say these days."

“Oh, really?" He teased me. “So, apparently, I am not one of the “right’ people.’

I shook my head when he pointed to the bathroom, telling me to go change. I closed the door softly behind me and took off my pants. “You are certainly not one of them, Mr. Steve.”

“Henris."He quickly ran to the other side of the door while I put on his shirt, which fortunately smelled like him. I rinsed r face with cold water and removed the rest of the makeup.

I opened the door, revealing that he was lying on the bed, dressed only in his black boxer shorts, his hands behind his head and a mischievous smile on his face. I managed not to faint as I slowly walked towards him, noticing his physique ir great shape.

I saw the outline of her abs but they weren't too pronounced, with tattoos scattered all over her torso. He was surprising pale, with a slight border where his suit is probably. I ran my eyes over the bold and deep lines of her lower abdomen th: disappeared under her underpants, up to her ankles, where I saw other tattoos.

He smiled and climbed to the foot of the bed, sitting me next to his feet. “Never Gonna Dance Again". I read aloud, then looked into his eyes with a smile.

He shrugged his shoulders. “I liked the song”

This time I rolled my eyes, crawled to the pillows and slipped under the covers next to him. Henris pulled me closer to he chest on which I put my head, letting my fingers run over her tattooed p***y.

“I don't like him."I whispered softly.

“Ym sorry. You will probably see her a lot"

I let out a growl from my lips and he tightened his hands around my shoulders. “Great. He was flirting with you, in front o me. And he kept throwing me those looks that made me want to slap you.”

“Don't be jealous, Noras,” I countered. I saw him reach out to turn off the lamp. “I told you it was over”

“She is very beautifull unpacked everything.

He laughed deeply, his laughter resonating in me. “Yes, that's right. Now forget about it and go to sleep.’

“It doesn’t matter,” I complained. “I still don't like it. And I'm not jealous.”

“Yes, you are."He whispered. The dark room began to make me close my eyes. “But you are mine.”

A small yawn escaped me and I rested my head in the curve of his neck. Our legs intertwined and our deep breaths filled the room. Sleep began to take hold of me as I asked one last question. “Are you mine?”

He moved uncomfortably under me. “Sleep, Noras."
