Chapter CHAPTER 104
Chapter 104
Angela’s POV
My wolf!
It’s been five years, if not six, since I last felt her presence within me. The day I left the pack was when I left my wolf behind as well. It was with me for a few days after I did but I ignored it so terribly I acted as though it was invisible till it actually became invisible.
My heart pounded hard and it was as if there was a ray of light amid the darkness I was in. I could cry but not right there where Ryker was.
I could see his mouth moving but I couldn’t hear the words he had to say.
“You should take a seat,” he repeated. I could see how clenched his jaws were.
“What?” I asked since my brain took a while to comprehend his words.
I was far too engrossed in my thoughts even to take a break to listen to his words. I was sad, angry, and happy at the same time.
“I SAID TAKE A FUCKING SEAT,” he growled. I let out a hiccup in fear and quickly took a seat where he pointed. I stared down at the floor without looking up at him again.
The one sight of him that I saw seconds ago was scary. His face turned into something animalistic. He was more rogue than I thought him to be.
When I heard someone placing a plate and cutlery on my table, I still didn’t look up.
##look up, Angela## my wolf commanded.
##did you see the look on his face? ## I asked.
##Don’t give him what he wants, don’t give him that satisfaction, LOOK UP##
I counted to three and at the third number, I looked up without thinking about anything. No one was sitting opposite me so I turned my head sideways to look at Ryker.
He raised an eyebrow, then smirked.
“It is such an honor to have a majestic lady like you in my palace,” Ryker praised. I could hear the sarcasm behind his words.
I looked him in the eye and gave him a sad smile. “Did I have a choice or a say in this? I guess the
answer is no,

He gulped down a glass of water and pointed at me. “That’s the problem, Princess, I don’t take no for an answer. If I don’t get a yes, I do it my way,”

Chapter 104
I smiled brightly and then applauded him. Deep inside, I was dying from fear but I stared at him and still maintained composure even with shaky hands and sweaty feet.
“A man who goes after what he wants. You must feel so incredible about yourself, Alpha Ryker,”
He scoffed. “King Ryker,”
I shrugged. “We both know there’s only one king in the Werewolf kingdom, Alpha Ryker,”
He gripped his teeth and I saw danger flash through his eyes. I think I took it too far. Maybe I said too much and I was going to die. He could just snap his finger and my head would roll off my feet.
“I would’ve loved to kill you but I can’t. I’m not a respecter of rules but the only one I respect that bonds me and your mate to a brotherhood is to honor the mate–bond of our brothers. So, keep running that mouth. The worst I can do is sew that fucking mouth of yours together,”
He glowered at me. I could feel my heart dropping into my stomach.
“Don’t tempt me, Princess. I do know how to make good use of a needle and thread,”
From his words, I knew he was serious. He would seriously do something that terrible if not worse. When he asked me what I would be useful for in his pack, I actually thought he was going to throw me to the wolves immediately. Guess he was acting differently for a reason.
Food was brought to my table and I kept on staring at it as if it grew two heads. I was famished but I could swear the food was poisoned or worse, laced with wolfsbane. I couldn’t take the risk. I could go back home after shedding some weight but I couldn’t afford to go back home dead.
I took the bottled water I could trust and drank some from it.
“It’ll really be stupid of you to think the water isn’t poisoned but the food is,” Ryker asked, a fork in his mouth. I wished I could remove that fork and stab him in the eyes.
“I’m not hungry,” I lied.
“Sure but just know, it’s easier to lace the water with poison than the food. That was taught in assassination class 1 and I’m sure your mate is familiar with that topic,”
I never envisioned Ryker as a man of many words and in all honesty, since I met him, he hasn’t said much. All that came out of his mouth were death threats.
No matter how long the sentence was, it was all death threats.
“Eat before I poison the food for real,” he growled.
My fingers trembled as I took one bite of the food. It was delicious but at the same time reminded me of my mom. I didn’t know how she was doing or how Brit was doing. I was holding on to the last hope within me.
I would die if anything happened to Brittany.

Chapter 104
The door suddenly opened and a beautiful, elegant young lady walked into the hall. She had black, shining hair and a pretty, crazy smile on her face. Unlike me, others in the room, including Ryker, didn’t look up at her. I think I was the only one fascinated by her.
“I’m surprised you’re joining us for dinner,” Ryker said
I was still staring at her. “Well, I was curious about who your latest conquest is,”
Conquest?
Ryker stared me down. “She’s not my type. I don’t sleep with moms,” then he stared at her with a smirk.
My eyes went wide at their exchange.
“Come on. Mom’s are better, you sleep with any thing in a skirt. Unbelievably stupid things,”
“I slept with you. Does that mean you’re stupid?”
The fork I was holding almost dropped from my hand when the girl walked towards Ryker and punched him in the face. The silence that ensued in the room was deafening. I could hear my breath out loud.
Within the blink of an eye, Ryker stood up from his seat and slammed the girl against the wall. His hand was at the back of her head stopping her from hitting her head on the wall. His actions were contradicting and it revealed the mixture of hatred and care between the two.
“You throw hands at me one more time, you’ll be spending the rest of the week in that dungeon.
Am I clear?”
I could feel the tension in the air. It was so uncomfortable.
The girl instead of responding, spat in Ryker’s face. “I’ll prefer the dungeons than your presence. I hate you. Standing close to you makes me want to kill myself,”
Ryker was breathing hard I could hear his low growls.
“I WANT EVERYBODY OUT!”
“NOW!”
