A Journey Within the Realm

Chapter 15: The Scout Reports In

I was daydreaming about how nice it would be if I had the power to drop the moon on the dull realm that I control, when Aneko appeared.

“How many times do I have to tell you not to interrupt me while I’m daydreaming?” I asked, grumpy.

“Forgive me, My Queen,” Aneko replied, bowing, “Daydreaming about having the ability to drop the moon again?”

I glared at her, “That doesn’t concern you! What do you want anyway!?!”

“The scout has returned, My Leige,” Aneko answered, smirking.

“Send her here,” I ordered, ignoring her smirk.

Aneko bowed as she disappeared, only to appear again within moments with the scout.

“What do you have to report?” I asked.

“I have great news, Your Highness,” the scout exclaimed, “I have found the light mage’s weakness!”

I sat up, ready to hear what she had to say.

“You see… he’s in love,” the scout continued, “He loves the elf!”

“Hmmm… kinky in a fantasy sort of way,” I commented, “What about the others?”

“So far, only the elf and the vampire fight with each other for the light mage,” the scout answered, “If any of the others try to break up the fighting, they also get attacked. However, that light mage is overprotective when it comes to the girls. If you capture the girls, especially the elf, the light mage will have to listen to whatever you say to make sure they don’t get hurt.”

“Hmmm… not a bad idea,” I replied, “Aneko! Bring me Commanders Cho and Dai.”

“Right away,” Aneko said, disappearing again.

“You may go now,” I told the scout.

“Thank you, My Queen,” the scout said, disappearing.

Once the scout was gone, Aneko appeared with the Commanders that I wanted.

“You rang, My Leige?” Commander Dai asked.

Commander Dai is my rank three commander. Dai is a shadow vampire and controls the same race of shadows. Commander Cho, who is my rank four commander, is a shadow demon. She controls shadow succubi. I told the two my plan to finally get rid of that annoying light mage. When I was done, they both bowed before disappearing.

“I’m finished with you for the moment,” I told Aneko, “Leave now.”

Aneko bowed as she disappeared. I leaned back to the side of my throne and continued daydreaming about the moon.
