A Journey Within the Realm

Chapter 15-2: The Conclusion of Commander Chiyo

Here I was, trapped inside a bottle. I sighed. This was not good. I had to contact Overlord Kei, but I was worried. I didn’t know what the Overlord would do when I told her the news. Oh well… better get this over with.

“Come in, Queen Kei. Come in, My Queen,” I called.

“Kei here, what happened? Did you kill that annoying Light Mage?” Kei asked.

“Uhhh… about that… I kind of… well… failed,” I stumbled.

“You what!?!” Kei screamed, “Where are you now!?! I want to see you right this instant!”

“I’m afraid, My Queen, that I can not,” I answered.

“Why!?!” Kei growled.

“Uhhh… I’m sort of trapped inside a bottle,” I replied.

“You what!?!” Kei yelled, “How did that Light Mage get one of my ghost catching jars!?!”

“If I heard correctly, the witch picked it up after their battle with Commanders Machiko and Gen,” I answered, “Apparently, they left it when they failed their mission.”

Just then, I heard a loud and very long scream. I believe I also heard something being thrown and crashing against something else.

“Incompetents,” Kei yelled, “I’m surrounded by incompetents! Chiyo! Can you get out!?!”

“No… My Queen,” I replied.

“Then, you can stay there for the rest of your life! Good-bye and don’t bother to call again; I won’t answer,” Kei yelled.

“Wait! Kei,” I exclaimed.

Nothing. I just cried.

I crushed the headset I was wearing and threw on the ground.

“Aneko! Front and center,” I called.

Within seconds, Aneko appeared.

“You rang, My Liege?” Aneko asked.

“Yes,” I replied, “It seems that you and Commander Eun are the last of my Shadow Commanders.”

“Oh dear…,” Aneko said.

“On top of that, that Light Mage is about to reach the portal to the Undershadows,” I said, crossing my arms.

“What should we do?” Aneko asked.

“I may have an answer,” I replied, “Here is what I want you to do…”
