A Journey of Reiki

Chapter Brief Introduction to Magalia Nila

Magalia Nila, better known as Magalia, is an island in between the major bodies of Roeue Ocean and the Leuon Waters. Undiscovered for thousands of years, the First Race of giants known as the Pyreh, found the island 85 years before the first time system. The Pyreh thrived in their new lands, only occupied by the lives of animals and plants galore. But soon their luck changed, another race appeared. The Dragons. Locked in a bloody conflict for nearly a hundred years, both sides were wiped nearly to extinction, and a bond was made between them. Not one of friendship, but one of common cause and necessity, for both, would be destroyed if not for the peace.

Eventually, another race found the islands of Magalia Nila, these were the humans, soon followed by the orcs and the elves of all kinds, and before they knew it, the Pyreh were fighting on more than one front, more than one side. Something needed to change and change happened in the year 352BR the elves found Reiki.

Reiki, the magical force of the universe, was found and harnessed by the Thirteen Sages, and outrage sparked from the Humans, who wanted magic as well, and soon the orcs did as well, all for different reasons surely. Before war could resume, Malcior Broche, the last of the Pyreh, forged the Everax, and split magic between the four main groups of society, the elves, the humans, the orcs, and the world itself. This task killed him, eradicating the Pyreh forever, and starting a new age- The Age of Reiki.

For 300 years, everything was kept peaceful, and that peace has only been broken twice since, once between the Orcs and the Elves, and once between the Elves and the Humans as well. But the bloodshed inevitably ended, and peace resumed aside from small fighting here and there, the cause of basic warfare unknown to the history books.

Dragons, though sparse, still remained relatively unharmed as no race dared fight them. Until Jasmine Jarla, the Mother of Riding. She bound them to the skies on riders, and created the Ivory Bane, and split the kingdoms, and united them at the same time with her wishes, a neutral police force, and that is what they became. The riders of the sky-bound to no kingdom, and no king, only the leader of the Bane. This was a major turning point in Magalia’s history, leading to an almost everlasting peace...
