A Healer’s Journey

Chapter 280

Chapter 280 Incredibly Strong
Not long after the matters of the Sable family had been settled, the forces from the Military Department and police department
mobilized by the Wright family withdrew, and Jadeborough returned to its usual tranquility.
Nathan, who had yet to rest, breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank goodness that young man held back in the end.”
Otherwise, if the Sable family were to fall, the livelihood of those in Jadeborough would be affected to an extent. Although I was
prepared, it was good that it didn’t come to that.
Conversely, Stephen smiled bitterly. “Grandpa, he merely held back from annihilating the entire Sable family. But still, many
people died, and it’s quite troublesome!”
“The Sable and Wahlstrom families will handle it themselves, so the commotion won’t be too big.”
Nathan pushed himself up to his feet and stretched his arms and legs before he continued, “But did that sniper truly have nothing
to do with Reginald?”
Stephen nodded. “Yeah, there’s no link between them. But presently, it’s still uncertain who the mastermind is.”
Narrowing his eyes in thought for a moment, Nathan asked, “Where is Finnegan now?”
“He made another trip to Bennett Farmhouse, picked up his sister, and returned to Dragon Bay as if nothing ever happened.”
Nathan couldn’t help but laugh. “This young man sure knows how to keep his cool. Then, continue keeping an eye on him. See
how he plans to deal with the Sable family tomorrow. I hope the Sable family can provide something that will put Finnegan at
ease. Otherwise...”
With that said, Nathan clasped his hands behind his back and walked toward his room. “This young man might be tempted to
wipe them out again tomorrow.”
Meanwhile, at Tyrone Mansion, Leonardo hurriedly knocked on Tyrone’s door, rousing the m with his two lovers in his arms.
“What’s wrong?”
Nonetheless, Tyrone wasn’t bothered at all, for he knew that Leonardo wouldn’t disturb him so late it was something important.

Leonardo replied, “Mr. Calandrino, I’ve found out why the Wright family mobilized the Military Department and police department
last night. Also, Ms. Wahlstrom’s mobilization of hundreds of peop was to assist Finnegan in dealing with the Sable family. It was
a carnage!”
When Tyrone heard that, his drowsiness instantly disappeared into thin air.
“Tell me about it in detail!”
Leonardo nodded, then relayed the information his subordinate obtained from following Alisha to Tyrone in detail.

At the end of it, he added, “Thankfully, I was meticulous enough to arrange for someone to infiltrate into the few hundred elites of
the Wahlstrom family. Otherwise, I would never have gotten this information. Mr. Calandrino, we must not offend Finnegan!”
Tyrone took a sharp intake of breath.
He also wore a rare expression gravity.
He couldn’t help straightening his plump body. “He’s extraordinarily skilled in combat, his medical. expertise is exceptional, and
he has the support of the Wahlstrom and Langdon families. Now, even the Wright family is his backer. Who exactly is he?”
Leonardo said, “He’s definitely something else. From the extermination of the Chomsky family to the oppression of the Sable
family tonight, it’s all quite telling! So, Mr. Calandrino, should we change our attitude toward Finnegan? Even if we can’t be
friends, should we at least avoid becoming enemies?”
After some thought, Tyrone sighed. “You know full well what he did to me. It’s probably hard for us to become friends. Moreover,
he’s very close to the Wahlstrom family, and the Wahlstrom family has always wanted to break my absolute control over
Jadeborough. That destines a lot of things.”
Having worked for him for many years, Leonardo understood his meaning immediately. “I got it.”
Tyrone waved a hand. “Go and rest. The confrontation between the Wahlstrom and Zymons families. should be nearing its end.
Let’s wait until there’s an outcome between the two families before discussing further.”

The night passed quietly.
The bloodshed and brutality involving the Sable family last night didn’t cause any ripples. It was as though it had never happened
at all.
It was not only the average citizen, for even some of the ten prominent families on par with the Sable family didn’t know what
happened. Most of the discussions revolved around the reason the Wright family mobilized the Military Department and police
department last night.
However, the Wright family and city council did not provide any explanations, leaving everyone to make their own guesses.
Yet, Finnegan, the culprit who stirred up a storm in Jadeborough, acted as if nothing had happened.
After a few hours of sleep, he got up and went to the back garden to cultivate as usual until Alisha arrived.
“Last night, you slaughtered people mercilessly, but you’re now calm and peaceful. How do you manage it at such a young age?”
Finnegan finished his cultivation and exhaled a breath. “My sister is here. Why have you come?”
At present, both his parents and Rhiannon felt there were too many women around him, worried that he might be playing the
field.
If Rhiannon were to see this again, it would be even harder to explain things to her.
With a roll of her eyes, Alisha put on a look of resentment. “I’ve been bustling around for you, staying up all night to work. Never
mind that you didn’t even show me a bit of concern, but you’re even annoyed that

I came to seek you out? Then, you’ll likely turn your back on me while still in bed right after being intimate in the future, huh?”
Knowing that she is about to make things suggestive again, Finnegan timely interjected, “Any news from the Sable family?”
Huffing a retort of him being a jerk, Alisha stopped joking around. “There’s still no news from the Sable family. It seems like
they’re still considering it. Besides, if there’s really any news, Hailey would have contacted you already! It’s just that although the
Wright family’s mobilization of the Military Department took most of the attention last night, a small number of people still noticed
the incident at the Sable family. You need to be careful. Also, there’s still nothing on the sniper. We can only wait to see if Duncan
returns with anything useful.”

As they were talking, Duncan, who hadn’t returned all night, quietly arrived.
Alisha subconsciously took a few steps back before complaining, “Can’t you make some noise when you walk? And could you
please not just appear out of nowhere next to people?”
Ignoring Alisha, Duncan said to Finnegan, “I lost the sniper.”
Finnegan trained his gaze on Duncan’s waist. “You’re injured?”
“That sniper has good skills and plenty of tricks up his sleeve. When I later caught up to him and engaged in closed-quarters
combat, I got grazed by a blade he hid in the sole of his shoe. It’s nothing serious.”
Upon hearing that, Alisha put away her complaints. “Is he really that strong?”
She-knew full well that Duncan’s skills were on par with those of a Grandmaster.
Duncan nodded. “He’s incredibly strong. I caught up with him thrice and fought him twice, but I was the only one who got injured.
Moreover, I could tell he wasn’t interested in fighting. He just wanted to shake
me off.”
He was uninterested in fighting yet injured Duncan while remaining unscathed himself. Most importantly, Duncan is comparable
to a Grandmaster. Who could hurt him without giving their all?
Alisha speculated, “Finnegan, it seems that the sniper’s overall strength is at least at the Grandmaster level. Could he have been
sent by that group of heirs and heiresses from Durbaine previously?”
Not only was the sniper proficient in firearms, but he was also formidable in close combat.
In Nuthana, even the Wahlstrom family couldn’t dispatch such a person.
As such, he could have only come from outside of Nuthana.
The most likely suspects were Yasmine and the others who had come to Jadeborough previously.
Finnegan turned around and gazed into the distance. “Indeed, it might be them, and they possess that capability. But that doesn’t
mean others can’t do the same!”

At that, Alisha was puzzled. “But who else can easily dispatch such an elite with numerous tricks up his sleeve?”
Finnegan chuckled and replied, “There’s a rule in this world of paying someone to solve a problem.”
Understanding dawned upon Alisha. “So, it’s also possible that someone hired that sniper last night?”
Shrugging, Finnegan walked forward. “After returning to Jadeborough, I’ve offended quite a few people who want me dead. But
even the Sable family might not be able to hire that sniper from last night, right?”
Alisha instantly understood his meaning. “I know where to investigate now.”
“Off you go, then. I’m going to have breakfast with Rhia before heading back to bed for a nap!”
