A Gold Alpha For A Silver Alpha

Chapter 10

Tree branches were hitting my body as I sped past them. Rae was running in front of me, since she was faster than me, we were both in our wolf form running as if our lives depended on it.

And truth be told, in a way it did.

Seconds after Rae told me that my pack was under attack, Noel spoke to me over the link informing me of the same. Apparently our enemies had us under surveillance because they took advantage of the moment when both Rae and I moved away to attack. The bloodsucking bastards were going to regret messing with Golden Moon, because yes, we were under a massive attack.

A vampire attack.

VAMPIRE.

it had been years since they had dared to attack us directly, and I couldn't think of a reason why they had suddenly decided to do so.

We came out of the forest right at the same point we had entered, but the clearing where we were training with Silver Mo was empty, no wolves in the vicinity.

The alarm that indicated danger sounded loudly to our ears warning everyone to seek shelter, I connected with my Beta and sent him a message.

Noel, are you all right, where is everyone, are we wounded, are we dead?

Alpha, we are mostly on the north side of the pack, in the omegas’ houses they concentrated on attacking us only in that part.

He answered me immediately and his tone sounded agitated and tired so I figured he was in the middle of the fight.

I cursed all the vampires for attacking the residential area of my pack, (which was obviously the weakest), without wastin time I ran in that direction, Rae was behind me and a slight feeling of security for her presence flooded me.

It didn't take me two minutes to arrive, and my eyes observed the battlefield with fear, the ground was full of corpses, bo wolves and vampires, the houses were destroyed and painted red, blood spilled from both sides, my wolves attacked anyone who approached them and when I saw Noel fighting against 3 bloodsuckers I came out of trance growling making myself noticed, and I started to attack.

I bit and tore heads off, my paws scratched and tore at their bodies, my mouth had a metallic taste that I immediately recognized as blood, I took blows from all directions, my right side was bleeding and I was limping slightly from my hind legs where a vampire buried his fangs in me, the pain I felt only served as a reminder that I had to keep fighting, against everyone.

A vampire I hadn't seen caught me by surprise and knocked me down and spun me around with him on top of me, I could see how Rae's she-wolf stood on the sidelines, off to the side of everyone, walking in circles as she growled.

That distracted me long enough for the bloodsucker to manage to break a rib, let out a long howl of pain, turned my he: to bury my fangs in his neck to tear his throat, let him die slowly, drowning in his own blood, but the pain in my ribs was too much, so I fell down howling in pain, my wolves formed a line in front of me to protect me, there were about 30 wolve left without serious wounds to continue fighting, the others were lying there breathing hard, enduring the pain or dead. There were about 80 bloodsuckers looking at us with victory, slowly they started to approach, the guys were in defensive pose, baring their teeth and barking in warning, I felt completely useless for not being able to stand up and lead them as their leader.

I knew there were too many of them, and that in our conditions it was not remotely possible for us to achieve victory, my wolves knew it too, but they did not move from their place, letting me know that they would die first before giving up a battle, that made me feel proud, very proud, and I could not help but think that my warriors were the best that any pack could wish for, and I was very lucky to have them by my side.

I was about to close my eyes and wait for the coup de grace to come, ready to end my life, when a large form jumped ove us and stood in front of us and began to growl and bark, the march of vampires stopped and stared at it in disbelief, ther began to laugh.

Do you think he can fight all of us, dog?

And I watched in horror as Rae's she-wolf disappeared to let me see her, her eyes frightened me, if before I thought I had seen them in their worst side I was very wrong, her look was the reflection of death in person, and the bloodsuckers stopped laughing when they saw her, to watch her in disbelief.

-You... You were dead!

shouted the one who seemed to be in charge, while he pointed his finger accusingly at her.

Do I look dead?

-But, but, but, like, and now, you're, a, a, a, dog!

He spat the last angrily, Rae let out a growl.

“Ill show you what this dog can do, may there be none left alive.

He shouted at the end with conviction before launching himself against them, he transformed in seconds and his muzzle ripped out the heart of the first vampire that got in his way, his order, at first I thought it was directed to my warriors, but was surprised to see 20 wolves coming out from everywhere to start tearing and dismembering everything that got in fror of him, I was startled to see so few wolves and began to seriously think that Rae was out of her mind, but I calmed down after a few minutes to observe that although they were considerably outnumbered, they had finished with most of them quickly and without receiving the slightest scratch.

Among all the figures two wolves stood out notably to my sight, a reddish wolf whose fur was confused with the color of blood and another one that in its beginning was white in its entirety, now there were only a few places where the red did not cover.

They were fighting back to back, protecting each other, and hell, it was scary to watch how efficient they were at dishing c death to the bloodsuckers.

My eyes scanned the place looking for the black she-wolf that had me hypnotized, I caught a glimpse of her figure, it was chilling to see how fast and strong she was, she was going from side to side, leaving a path of corpses behind her, from h mouth dripped that thick red liquid that should be inside us, but I couldn't decipher if it was hers or everyone else's.

In a matter of what seemed like hours, but it was only a few minutes, they finished with all the vampires that remained standing, the boys that surrounded me had not moved a single inch, and watched the herd that little by little, returned tc their human bodies with a feeling shining in their eyes, pride.

We also returned to our normal forms and as if we were organized we lowered our heads as a sign of respect, when we looked up we saw those warriors who looked at us with tilted smiles, around their Alpha who was in the center of everyone, escorted on each side by their Beta and Delta, just as we had met just a few days ago, only this time the situation in which we found ourselves was very different, they also made a bow as a sign of gratitude.

And even though I didn't know what Rae was hiding from me, I knew one thing for sure.

Things had already changed.

it didn't matter if what she was going to tell me was the date of my death or the devastation of my pack as I knew it.

That girl was going to be mine.

My Luna.
