A Girl’s Diary

Chapter 22 - You'll Call Me Your Majesty

"Ummm... Elena, I'm sorry for... everything. Can we just forget everything happened in the past?" Louis asked, as if I could just forget. Nah, I was way too evil for that!

"Let me think about it." I tapped my chin as if in deep thought. "Hmmm... no thanks, I'm good with hating you." I patted my lashes at him

"El, when did you become like that?" Thomas suppressed his smile. He knew there was more coming. And let me tell you, the show was about to start.

"A few hours ago." I shrugged. "Now, dear Louis." He looked up at me. "Don't worry about your job." He sighed in relief. I was evil but not that much. "Worry about your free time." I smiled.

"What?"

"You know how you told Jason you will do anything for him?" I stopped. I needed this to be slow and painful. Nah, just kidding. It just had to register in that thick head of his. "Turns out he owes me and I need something like a personal servant so guess who's my new task boy?"

"Noo!" He said slowly, his voice almost a whisper.

"Yes!" I squealed. "We'll have so much fun!" I clapped. "But I'm not cruel, your first day is on Monday. Don't forget to carry my bag. It's quite heavy, you know?" And just like that, I left.

Victorious. That was how I felt.

Now, where was my bestie? I moved through masses looking everywhere for her until I finally spotted her in a quiet hall... talking to Adam. As I got closer, I could see her shoulders moving.

Please don't be something bad!

Please don't be anything bad!

Please!

It was all a blur from there. Sky crying, running and then me punching Adam. I knew he was no good. But no one and I meant no one could hurt my Sky and get away with it. I could feel someone's arms around me, keeping me from causing Adam any real damage. I struggled against those arms but they were too strong.

"Shana." He breathed trying to calm me.

"Where's Sky?" I asked trying to calm down.

"With your brother. Now calm down." He said in a soothing manner. I take in a deep breath. Ian wouldn't hurt her, he could be so sweet when he wanted. She would be okay. I just knew it. She would be okay. I start to relax against Ron and just then, I noticed I was too tired. My hand hurt really bad. I felt like the walking dead.

"Now, let's get you upstairs and check on those fists. I'm sure you broke the guy's nose." He chuckled carrying me up properly.

"It wasn't that bad." I murmured feeling heat creep up my neck.

When we reached my room, he asked about a first aid kit. I gave him directions, not really having the energy to fight him on it. When he was back, I was in my pyjamas. He worked on my knuckles which were a bit bruised in silence.

"Goodnight, Shana." He sighed getting out. Seconds later, I fell into a deep deep sleep.

The first thought to come when I woke up was going to Sky's house. I needed to get my mind off that damn reporter that said he would reveal my identity tomorrow.

I crossed my fingers hoping all that was just nothing.

I rang the doorbell, stayed for a while, rang it again and again until after about twenty minutes, Sky opened the door. Leaving a small crack open then dragging herself to her room again. That looked miserable. I entered following her to her bed. Sighing I laid next to her.

She looked bad. Makeup all over her face, eyes so puffed up, her hair a total mess and she didn't even bother changing her clothes.

"If this is because of Adam, I almost broke his nose and I'm pretty sure I left some marks there," I said looking at the ceiling.

"Good."

"The question here is: would he tell anyone he got his ass kicked by a girl?" She sighed taking a deep breath.

"I told him I like him... but..." Her voice almost broke. "But he... he said I'm not his type." That idiot broke her heart. I knew he was bad news. Now I wished I really broke his nose and a few other bones. "You're everybody's type girl, he's such a loser," I said sitting up.

"I know right, who can refuse a girl like me," Sky said sniffing. I knew she was trying to act strong, but who could be strong after having a tragic heartbreak.

"Get up now." She shook her head. "Sky!" She turned and put her face in her pillow. "Don't say I didn't warn you." I didn't give her a chance to respond before I launched at her tickling every part of her stomach I could reach. "Speechless now? Huh?" I said teasingly. "Would you get up now?"

"Yes, I'm sorry. "I stopped. Eying her suspiciously. She got up into the toilet.

"Sky, it's warm today. Let's go to the beach." I shouted hoping she'd hear me. It wasn't summer-warm today but it was somehow warm. So we were safe. She got out after a while, I was humming to a nonexistent song that would probably be in my next album. Looked like Aurora wouldn't have to worry about the deadline anymore!

"Are you sure the beach is a good idea?"

"As long as we don't get into the water, we'll be fine." I shrugged.

"We can play beach volleyball then!" She said excitedly. Now that was more like the Sky I knew.

"Chop chop chop! Show me your best bikini." I encouraged. Sky loved showing off her body. It made her feel more confident and that was just what we needed now.

"I won't wear one alone Eli, so if you're not doing it with me, I'm wearing it either." Sly bitch! Okay!

"I don't have any objection." I smiled and her jaw dropped. No, out now! Haha. "Go now and don't come out unless you're the sexiest girl in the whole universe," I commanded. She shuffled through drawers to get her swimsuits.

"Aye aye captain!" She said in a pirate-ish way. "Which one?" She held out two of them, red and white. Hmm... white makes people look angelic so, no. While red, that was sexy!

"Red."

"Okay, you wear this one." She threw me a one-piece black swimsuit. I put it on then decided it would be better if I hid it beneath my clothes.

"So what happened with lan yesterday?" I asked the moment she got out. "You look gorgeously sexy by the way!" I winked.

"What do you mean... nothing happened... he was just... umm... nice enough to ride me home I guess." Not suspicious at all but okay.

"You sure? 'Cause he was over the moon today." I said nonchalantly. I didn't even see him this morning but yeah, I needed to dig a bit.

"*He was*?" Sky asked. "I mean, he was?" She said in a calmer manner while getting her hair into a ponytail. My curiosity couldn't be saturated without the help of our family spy. I would bribe her later. "Eli, why didn't you change yet?"

"I did, it's under my shirt and pants." Yeah, I wasn't comfortable in it. It had slits at the sides and the back had crisscross threads covering absolutely nothing. And don't get me started on how much cleavage it showed. Yeah, not happening. My shirt would stay over it.

"Eli." She said sternly. I looked at her innocently. I mean c'mon I did put it on. No need to show it.

"What?" I whined.

"Okay, I'm not going anywhere." He folded her arms defiantly.

"I hate you," I said slowly sliding off the pants. "But the shirt stays." It was long enough to cover until my mid-thighs leaving me kind of comfy.

"Until we reach our destination." I sighed. This was a bad idea. My life was full of them so what was one more! Sky's house was near the beach so we decided to walk there and as always, she kept texting furiously on her phone. Now what? "Eli, text Tom, we need some company to play beach volleyball." I looked at her weirdly but complied. He texted back almost immediately.

Tommy: I have a hangover and a date but I love you so okay I'm coming

I shook my head at his silliness. Wait a second, a date? The guy was here for like less than a freaking day! What the freaking hell?

Me: I need my birthday present before the day ends or there will be consequences :)

I had yet to see my present. I did buy him something too but he had to give me mine first. It actually took me a lot of thinking. I mean, the guy had literally everything. But then again, he was my best friend so I, at last, figured out what would blow up his little mind.

"Eli?" I heard Sky say. "We're here. Now, show me that cute swimsuit." Hell no! "Please." She gave me puppy eyes. Unfortunately, I wouldn't comply that easy.

"I'm cold," I said trying to reason with her.

"Sometimes, you're too insecure." I just shrugged at her comment. "Girl, you are simply gorgeous. What are you shy of?" I didn't have an answer to that. "Eli, I will never lie to you. You look even better than me Damn, you could beat Cinnamon with that body." Funny of you to mention her. Hehe.

You know what? Damn all that. I could be confident too. For fuck's sake, I was Cinnamon!

With my newfound confidence, I decided to give the swimsuit a chance. I took off my shirt and here I was, standing as awkwardly as ever.

I looked around and spotted Tommy. How did he come here that fast? I took a good look and let me tell you, those abs weren't there before! When we were three, I used to use Tommy as my hug pillow; he was so chubby. But then he turned into scrawny Tommy. Now, he was so defined and muscular so it was a good update!

I went and hugged him, it was a habit since childhood. So, I couldn't really let go of it. The three of us kept chatting. Tommy was more like telling embarrassing stories about me while Sky was laughing her ass off. I didn't stop them; because I actually felt bad for Sky. And I didn't mind the stories; they brought too many good memories. Plus, two could play this game. I started telling too embarrassing stories about him and he actually laughed at them as if it was nothing. I guess it wasn't so bad!

Minutes later, Jason was here. Trying to tell us stories about Sky while she was threatening to kill him in his sleep. We then play beach volleyball and let me tell you, I sucked at it! So, it wasn't a surprise when the boys beat our asses.

So, I told Sky I would make up for it by buying ice cream and her grumpy mood vanished. Icecream was really magical!

The moment Tom drove me home, I headed to my room. My feet were literally killing me. I had to sleep. I didn't even bother to get under the covers or change my clothes or anything. I just collapsed on my bed and drifted into a deep deep sleep.

The next day was well spent in bed watching Netflix. Loca was at one of her friend's house so, I didn't get the chance to try to get information out of her.

How so ever, when she returned back, I started my interrogation. To my dismay, she didn't break her twin-code and kept whatever it was a secret. She shrugged off most of my questions with some 'I don't know' and 'I think it's nothing' and silence. That literally gave nothing away. Ugh!

"Elena, isn't that show tonight? The one that said they'll reveal your identity in?" Yes, yes it was. I shrugged at her and sat on the couch switching between Tv shows. Loca came back moments later with hot chocolate. I smiled when I saw she put marshmallows in it. I loved marshmallows!

We sat in comfortable silence. Well, until Loca snatched the remote from my hand to check the show. I didn't want to face it just yet. But it looked like, I would have to.

Bryan was on the screen saying random stuff he counted as valuable research conclusions. For like half an hour he continued saying nonsense that never happened, this actually calmed me a little. When he was done rattling he finally said "After gathering all those clues, I know who Cinnamon is. A high school student in Stakil High, she's in her last year. And her name is..."

Nooo!

This couldn't be happening!00☐☐☐☐☐☐
