A Girl Nobody Wanted

Shane's POV.

His face lit up as soon as he saw me.

“I cooked you some soup,” I said, smiling.

“I am literally starving now. I was on the bed the whole day, didn’t even remember about food.” he said, letting me in. “Are you feeling okay? You still look tired." 1 asked, looking at his face.

“No... No... I am feeling good... I think I slept too much..” he replied, smiling.

“Go take a wash and come... I brought some sandwiches too.” I told him.

“Wow! You are a lifesaver, Shane... Give me 5 minutes, I will be right back," he said, tapping me on my shoulder. Then he le I arranged a table for us.

I usually don't cook. Sarah is the one who always does the cooking. Even today, Sarah offered to help me, but I wanted to prepare something for him on my own.

Love makes us do things that we never thought of doing, right? I had so many relationships in my life. I don't even remember how much. But I never wanted to put any effort to impress or take care of my partner. I knew they will be with me no matter how badly I treat them. On the other hand, even if they leave me, that was nothing to worry about, all thos relationships were just for fun.

When it comes to him, everything is totally different. 1 want to put all the efforts to impress him, to protect him, to take c: of him... 1 am always worried about what he will think about me. I never ever want him to leave me. I have reached a poin where I can't even think of my life without him.

Today, I must tell him everything that is in my mind. I must tell him how much I love him. But I am so damn scared.

“Let's eat... I am so hungry...” Luke said, coming down from the stairs.

I nodded, smiling.

“God! You are one hell of a talented cook, Shane... This soup is delicious!” Luke said.

My heart filled with pride. Just like a teenage girl who got praised by her crush, I felt proud.

We took dinner, talking about the upcoming tournaments and other things about football. How nice it is to have a casual conversation along with him during dinner. I wish I could do this every day.

After that, we cleaned the dinner table together. I started to feel like we are a real couple living together. God! What the am I thinking?

We both sat on the sofa after cleaning. Luke switched on the TV.

“Today, Mr. Patterson came..” I said.

“Yeah... Sarah told me,” he replied

“I don't really know what is the deal with him, Luke, but I was so close to punching him right on the face” 1 said bitterly. “I think you already know Jake is in an affair with Sarah...” Luke asked out of nowhere.

“Yes, I got to know about that today,” I replied.

“Mr. Patterson wants to get his revenge from Jake... He is trying to use Sarah for that...” Luke said, making me astonished. “Mr. Patterson is Jake's aunty’s only son... However, their families are not on good terms. His dad is a total wicked person. He is the one who mainly creates all the problems between these two families. A few years back, Andrew's girlfriend died from a car crash. His dad, however, made him believe that it was Jake and his dad, who were behind this car crash. Since then, Andrew started to resent Jake and his family with all he has. No matter how much jake and Jake's dad tried to make him realize the truth, that was no use, he is not ready to listen. It was his mom, who could at least control him from doing stupid shits, but as you know she died recently. So he is now totally out of control just like a wild beast... *

“He knows that the best way to hurt Jake is taking Sarah away from him. So he is doing everything he can to break Jake's affair with Sarah...” Luke added.

I was startled... Well... This explains why Mr. Patterson came after Sarah since the beginning. Why he tried to dig into our family details that much. Though I mentioned about Mr. Patterson now, I never expected Luke to reveal the inside story with me this openly. This means he trusts me, doesn't it? He trusts me to share something that only three of them are aware of.

“I don't really know why you treated your sister that badly in the past, Shane..” Luke said, looking right into my eyes. His look pierced through my eyes to my mind, making me ashamed of myself for my past action. The tone of his voice clearly implied the disgust about my past behavior.

“But Sarah told me that you tried to protect her from Mr. Patterson today. She said you have changed a lot. Especially the way you treat her. So I think you deserve to know this.” Luke said.

“What do you think, Luke?” I asked, looking into his eyes.

“What do you mean?” he asked, looking away.

“l mean what you think about me? Do you think I have changed?” I asked.

He was silent for a few seconds... Then he looked at me.

“Yes, I think you have changed a lot, Shane... I hope you stay like this every day because I prefer this new Shane.” he saic making my heart beat faster...

Tell him how much you love him, Shane... Tell him... My heart was screaming...

But I couldn't gather up the courage to do that. He has just started to trust me and share things with me. What if everythi gets changed with what I am going to tell him. He will again start to disgust me... Maybe he will even avoid me. I can't affc to lose him. Even if he loves me or not, I want him in my life, at least as a friend. So I think I should wait... I should wait some time more... I concluded.

Andrew Patterson's POV

I don't even know how I managed to drive all the way to my house from Sarah's. I was furious and at the same time so heartbroken...

Right after I came home, I shut the door and threw away my car key. I was burning inside, and I desperately wanted to release my anger on something.

I smashed all the things that were on the small display rack in the living room. Some of them were very valuable antique items, but I didn't care.

However, after that, I felt a little bit calm.

I dropped myself to the sofa, holding my head from both the hands.

If Jake was near me, there is no doubt I would beat him to death.

I thought what happened at the party would change Sarah... She was so shocked as I expected, but I don't know how she started to believe him once again...

He is so cunning... He used his charm to persuade my little angel... He got what he wanted. He tured her against me... Then he ruined my angel's innocence...

Only God knows how much I wanted to make her first experience an incredible one. How much I wanted to be the person who gives her that wonderful experience. But that bastard took everything away from me. You are going to pay for that, jake, sooner or later...

However, this is not the end... I won't stop until she is mine, and you are in eternal suffering, Jake...

The way Sarah acts in this situation actually makes me respect her even more... She is so loyal and brave... Now I want to make her mine more than ever...

It is okay my first plan went in vain... But I will rise again with my second plan... This time, it won't be easy for you, Jake... will have more people on my side... You will be left alone...

Sarah's POV

Everything got back to normal little by little... Jake came back to the university since his father is now well...

Luke also returned to the university. He was fully recovered, and Doctors even gave him permission to start practices. Our whole football team was so busy with the practices for the upcoming inter-university tournament. They all were best what they do, but this time there is something more... They are united than ever... Like one big family... I think all the hardships they had to go through in the past few days made them much stronger and much united.

Making all the lectures wonder, Shane and his friends started to come to the lectures. I think Shane is the one who got aI busier than anyone else. He wanted to focus on his studies and practices to the best...

Shane even asked me and Luke to support them with their lessons. We both happily accepted his request.

Even at home, I spent a lot of time helping him with his studies. As a return, he started helping me with cooking and othe housework. I actually didn't want him to help me because I knew how much he already has on his plate. But he insists th he needs to help me.

Since mom was not in the home most of the time, I think she didn't feel Shane's sudden change, but dad felt it. When Shane support me with my work, he always kept staring at us with surprise. But he never tried to stop Shane. Instead, the was an admiring smile on his ips...

Like this, days went on, keeping me happy and satisfied...

Just before the interuniversity tournament starts, Jake had to go back to his home for the engagement. We met before he left...

Though, I clearly knew this engagement is just a drama, I was worried...

Therefore, I couldn't even make up my mind to make love with him. All I wanted was to cuddle to his chest and embrace t warmth... So when he tried to remove the nightdress I was wearing, I stopped him. He looked at me with surprise, then he understood what I wanted. Without even complaining about that, all night he kept on kissing and caressing my face and head, comforting me...

Finally, we both fall asleep, cuddling with each other...

The next morning, I woke up before him... I was sleeping, resting my head on his bare chest... He had one of his arms around me...

I slowly removed his arm and sit straight... He looks so damn handsome in sleep... So innocent and gentle...

I placed a small kiss on his forehead... He was still in deep sleep...

He was just wearing his boxers... God! He has one hell of a sexy body... He looks like a carefully craved Greek God statue... Any girl in this world would desire to make love with a handsome guy like my Jake, there is no doubt... But he is mine... O mine... No matter how many fake engagements he has to get, he is mine from his soul and body...

Putting my legs each side of his body, I sat on his stomach... He is strong and masculine... He has got a well-developed body with all the practices. So he didn't even feel my weight on him. I smiled foolishly, looking at his face... Then I started to kiss his bare chest, making him tickle...

I made sure I left a few love bites as well...

He slowly opened his eyes, with my sweet t+...

I smiled at him...

“seems like someone is in the mood for a naughty little something..” he chuckled...

“Yes...1 think so." I replied, laughing.

Then the next moment, he has pinned me to the bed and removed my poor nightdress, leaving me only in my underwear.
