A Fallen Heir’s Redemption By ( Lucian and Freya )

Chapter 125

Chapter 125 Bet With Your Life

“Stop…”

Simon rushed towards the tall, broad bodyguard like a feral beast trying to protect its young.

He knew that he would be no match for his opponent, but charged forth anyways.

“Thump!” The bodyguard’s eyes flashed coldly, lifting a foot and sending him flying three meters

away.

Simon could not retaliate in the slightest in the face of this burly bodyguard.

All that could be seen was Simon’s body flying a good distance like a broken kite, colliding harshly against the wall and spitting out a mouthful of blood, the light in his eyes dimming considerably.

Dennis did not do anything in the face of watching his dad get beaten up. He curled up into a ball in the corner, trembling all over.

“Who is he?”

Sylvain swirled his glass around, propping his feet up on the table and staring coldly at Simon on the ground.

“I think he’s this ba stard’s father, Sir.” Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the Find ɴøᴠel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“Oh… Sylvain’s expression did not shift in the slightest. He put his glass down, turning to Dennis. “Does he have the money?”

Simon sat up slowly, saying in a weak tone, “I don’t have that much, but I know it’s my duty to pay up as his father. You can break my limbs. He’s still young, he can’t become a cripple.”

Simon had prepared to lose his limbs, coming here today.

He was furious at his son for being so incompetent, but could not bear to see his son become a cr ipple without doing anything. All he could do was hope that Dennis would at least learn a le sson or two this time.

“Your legs aren’t worth ten million dollars.”

Sylvain’s gaze was devoid of emotion. “Since that’s the case, I’ll break his leg and then yours. Let’s not waste time here.”

“Alright, got it.” The bodyguard acted on the order like a machine. He drew a dagger, walked up to Dennis slowly and stepped on his chest before raising the dagger.

“Dad, help!”

Dennis wet himself in a panic at the sight of the dagger above his, his face white as a sheet,

“Stop, stop!”

Simon roared the words angrily, climbing up with all his might and punching the bodyguard in the face with one swift blow. “Don’t f*cking touch my son! Break my legs if you have to!”

“How dare you hit me, you piece of sh*t.”

The bodyguard flew into a huge rage, throwing away the dagger in his hand and grabbing Simon by the neck before raising him into the air.

“Thud, thud, thud.”

Five or six punches were thrown, and Simon’s face swelled as he saw stars. He crumpled in the bodyguard’s grasp, going limp.

The bodyguard continued his assault on Simon, as if he had lost his mind.

Soon enough, Simon lay on the ground unmoving. Blood bubbled at the corner of his mouth as he wheezed, losing consciousness slowly. Yet his fingers remained tightly gripping the corner of the bodyguards’ trousers as he mumbled, “Don’t hurt my son, please.”

“Dad…” Dennis burst out crying at the sight, tears streaming down his face- but still, he did not have the courage to save his father.

He had been protected from a young age, and grew up to be a coward unwilling to take any responsibility for his actions.

The bodyguard was going to break Dennis’ legs, but saw that Simon was still clutching onto the hem of his trousers. He shook him off fiercely twice, but to no avail. The bodyguard frowned, picking up the dagger from the ground and piercing it in the direction of Simon’s hand.

“I’ll f*cking take care of you first…”

The bodyguard’s gaze was murderous, like a feral beast.

“Thud!”

Just then, the door of the room was kicked open to reveal Lucian at the door, with Denise and Rosine in tow.

Lucian flared up in anger at the sight at once. He shot out like an arrow, reaching the bodyguard in no time and aiming a front h ook at him that sent him flying through the air. The bodyguard fell to the ground with a thud, cl utching his jaw and letting out a cry of agony.

This happened too quickly, and Sylvain and the rest stood up at once.

Everyone else could hardly contain their rage, but Sylvain remained cool and composed. He squinted at Lucian, his pupils narrowing murderously. No one had dared to go against him ever since he had taken over the Guevara casino.

Lucian was truly the first one!

“You’re here to save them?”

Sylvain looked Lucian up and down as he asked the question.

“Obviously.” Lucian checked on Simon as he responded.

Denise and Rosine were close to tears at the sight of the state Simon was in. It was only upon seeing his mother and sister that Dennis dared to walk over, throwing himself into Denise’s arms and bursting into tears.

“Thwap.” Denise’s chest no longer ached for her son, landing a harsh slap on his face. “You ba stard child, I should have never given birth to you.”

“I’m sorry, Mom.”

Dennis was scared out of his wits, apologizing profusely.

Lucian paid them no mind, his gaze zeroing in on Dennis and the men next to him. He frowned at the sight of William, realizing that something was off. There was a cu nning glint in William’s

eyes.

Dennis was an idiot, but surely he wouldn’t be dumb enough to spend all of the twenty million dollars then ask for another ten million, right?

He would never have the nerve to bet so much.

Someone had to have screwed him over.

“And who are you?”

Sylvain stared Lucian down before asking the question.

“Sir, his name is Lucian Gray. He’s one of the Grays, but we kicked him out seven years ago. His father is Alexander Gray, one of Sioux’s business prodigies. I’m sure you’ve heard of him,” William explained patiently to the side.

“Oh, it’s Alexander Gray’s son.”

Sylvain smirked coldly hardly taking I ucian coriquely at all no ha enaka “Ara van hara ta nau un

for them, Mr. Gray?”

“I’m not here to pay anyone anything.”

Lucian spoke the words coldly. “I’m here to take them away. You can have the twenty million as a lesson to Dennis, but just forget about the ten million out of courtesy on my account. I don’t want to make a big deal out of this, it won’t be good for either of us.”

“What did you say?”

Sylvain was thrown off guard. He had not expected for Lucian to say such things.

Forget about it out of courtesy on his account?

What kind of courtesy did an abandoned nobody like Lucian deserve?

“I said, I’m here to take them away.”

Lucian’s tone was cold. “I don’t wish to go into too much detail on why he lost twenty million and

owes another ten million.”

Sylvain’s expression was more and more ashen, his hands clenched into fists as he glowered at Lucian murderously. “I make the rules in my casino. You’re going to pay whatever you lose here, unless

you win it back. It’s that simple.”

“Well, would you like to make a bet, then?”

Lucian thought briefly, before saying the words in a low voice.

If he were to fight his way out, Lucian would leave with Simon and his family for sure. But he was wary of doing so, seeing as they were in Sylvain’s territory. Based on how powerful the Guevara family was around here, lord knows how many eyes they had lying around.

Of course, Lucian could take everyone on his own, and even leave after killing everyone else.

But… he couldn’t be too sure that nothing would happen to Simon and his family while he was fighting.

The mention of a bet piqued Sylvain’s interest at once, and he perked up like a starving man tasting food for the first time in weeks. He looked at Lucian expectantly. “How would you like to go about this bet? Poker, dice, or cards? Your call!”

“No, no, that’s so juvenile.”

Lucian waved a hand, glancing at a revolver on the table. “Let’s bet on lives!”
