A Drunken Decision ( Annabelle Ross )

A Drunken Decision Cynthia Chapter 36

Chapter 36

“I have money. I don’t want yours!” Nathan acted like the card was burning his hand. He quickly handed the card back. “I’m an adult. I can take care of myself. Besides, I’m going to study, not enjoy myself. Why would I bring so much money?”

“Just take it.” Annabelle handed the card back. “It’s not much money. Keep it. It’s best if you don’t need it. If something happens and you have money on you, you won’t panic.”

As Nathan listened to Anna’s words, he remembered that she had always been the one protecting him since she was young. She would buy whatever he wanted. She remembered the things that their parents had forgotten. When he was injured, her heart ached so much that she cried.

Nathan had never thought that his sister, was a useless person. In his heart, he was the best person in the world and the most important person in his

life.

“Anna, thank you!” Nathan’s heart was burning as he said in a hoarse voice.

He would definitely make himself stronger and be her backing. He would not let anyone bully her.

Lucas was so powerful. If he was still fooling around like before, he would not have the ability to protect his sister.

“What are you talking about!” Annabelle smiled. She had no idea what Nathan was thinking.

The two of them chatted for a while more before the dishes they ordered were sent over one after another.

Hence, the two of them stopped talking and started to eat.

When Lucas led a group of people in, he saw Anna and his younger brother who were eating.

“They really have a good appetite,” thought Lucas.

Lucas did not go over to disturb them. He directly led the people with him to the private room they had booked.

After eating and drinking his fill, Annabelle wanted to take Nathan to buy something else, but Nathan refused.

He had already prepared three suitcases. It was really not good to take more things with him. Besides, he could still buy whatever he lacked online, right? He did not want his pregnant sister to tire herself out.

“Is there anything else?” Annabelle saw that he was determined not to go, so she did not force him.

Nathan shook his head. What could happen to him? He would only get together with his friends at night to say goodbye. After all, he would not be able to eat and sing with them in the next few years.

“Then come to my house!” said Annabelle. “You haven’t been to my house yet!”

“Alright, alright!” Nathan had no objections. He really wanted to take a look. Although he knew in his heart that Lucas would not mistreat his sister, he could only be sure when he had seen it with his own eyes.

The two of them decided to go home together. Nathan knew his sister very well. Looking at the decorations in the house and the small items that Annabelle liked was everywhere, he was finally relieved.

When Lucas returned at night, Nathan had already left. Annabelle was in a good mood. As soon as she saw him return, she went up to him kindly and took the folder from him. Then, she smiled and looked at him eagerly.

Lucas had already reached out to take the pair of grey slippers that he would always wear. Being stared at by Annabelle like this, his hand forcefully changed directions. With a natural expression, she took out the pair of furry dog head slippers and stepped in it.

Seeing this, Annabelle smiled even more happily.

“Dinner is ready. Do you want to eat now or later? Where should I put this? Your study or bedroom?” Annabelle raised the folder in her hand.

“Let’s eat first,” said Lucas. After that, he pointed at the folder in Annabelle’s hand. “It’s for you. You decide where to put it!”

When Annabelle heard this, she was shocked, but she could not control her joy. “A gift for me? I’ve never given you a gift!”

As Annabelle spoke, she could not help but reflect on her attitude. “I’ll often prepare small surprises for you in the future!”

Annabelle’s seriousness stunned Lucas. Clearly, the contents of the folder were not a surprise.

Just as he was about to explain, Annabelle had already taken out something from the folder. When she saw what it was, she immediately beamed with joy.

“Is it done? Ah, only my name is on this? Although it still belongs to the common property after marriage, I’m still very happy that you’ve written it like

this!”

Annabelle had never thought of buying a house before. She was a person who loved her home and felt that living anywhere was not as comfortable as living at home. Hence, she had nothing under her name.

This could be considered the first house in her life!

Annabelle was overjoyed as she held the new real estate certificate. Lucas, who was about to explain, cleverly shut his mouth.

Of course, Lucas also responsibly reflected that ever since they got married, he had indeed not given her anything.

Hence, he took out his wallet from his pocket and took out a golden card from a variety of cards. He stuffed it into Annabelle’s hand and said, “I’ll give you this as pocket money. Buy whatever you want.”

Annabelle held the real estate certificate in one hand and the golden card in the other. She felt that happiness had come too suddenly.

She had just given out a card and her man gave her one.

She felt that Lucas was just too good.

To express her gratitude, Annabelle kissed Lucas’s cheek..

“It’s great to be able to marry you!”

This sentence was obviously more powerful than Annabelle taking the initiative to kiss him.

“I’ve never thought about the person that I would marry!” Annabelle held Lucas’s arm and walked towards the dining room. As they walked, she whispered. “In university, there were many people wooing me. It’s not that I haven’t thought about dating an outstanding boy. It’s just that after interacting with him once or twice, I lost interest in continuing to interact with them!”

Annabelle thought that there might be something wrong with her physique. She could never meet someone who could match her!

She didn’t like to scheme, and the people who wanted to scheme against her would often be seen through by her. Such things made her feel like once bitten, twice shy.

“After that, I thought that after I graduated from university, I would get my family to arrange blind dates and marry someone of equal social status!” However, before this plan could be realized, something happened at home. She went from being the Ross family’s beloved daughter to someone who wasn’t loved at all.

“Fortunately, I met you!” Annabelle threw those bad memories to the back of her mind and continued to say with a smile, “You’re so good, I’ll definitely like you in the future!”

Lucas could not help but glance at her from the corners of his eyes when he heard her say so much. He felt he didn’t do much, but she still thought he was good.

Lucas thought that it was a good thing that she did not fall in love in university. Otherwise, she would have been deceived.

Annabelle did not know what Lucas was thinking. She placed the things in her hands on the dining table and continued, “I’m also very good. You can try to like me too!”

Annabelle thought that since they had both decided to take this marriage seriously, they should work harder so that a loving marriage would be more complete.
