Annabelle, Elizabeth, and Hazel’s small shop opened on the 28th of April. Although it might be a little superstitious, Annabelle and the others still specially hired someone to calculate an auspicious opening day. 

Because of orders from several big companies, their shop was already doing well before it opened. Their small shop was called Flowers and Tea. Not only did they sell flowers, but they also sold tea. 

Therefore, when they chose the shop back then, they specially chose a very big one. 

When the sign was hung up, the flower shop owner next door knew why they didn’t care so much about the flower shop she opened at this time. They were indeed not on the same level. 

Annabelle also asked Elizabeth to talk to the bookstore next door so that its customers could come into their store and read 

books. 

On the day of the opening, Annabelle was also there, but she didn’t go to the front. After all, she was pregnant and was about to give birth in a month. There were so many people on opening day. The sound of congratulations and popping champagnes were everywhere. If she bumped into something, she wouldn’t be able to take it. 

However, it was because she was standing far away that she finally saw the lady owner of the flower shop next door who came to congratulate them. 

When Annabelle saw that person’s appearance, the smile on her face froze. 

Previously, she had thought that it might be a coincidence that the flower shop next door opened at that time. After seeing that woman, she knew that it was definitely not a coincidence. 

The woman was none other than her high school best friend who ended up falling apart. No, she was not really her best friend. She was a classmate at best. Or an alumnus. 

Annabelle felt that she should not let her imagination run wild without proof, but she just could not control her thoughts at all. 

Annabelle might not be popular and might not have many true friends. But Annabelle could only think of two people who, in order to annoy her, would go their way to recruit someone with such a history with her to open a flower shop next door. That was Ashley or Yolanda.

Although she knew that Yolanda liked her man, she had never taken it to heart. In fact, she could not even guard against her every time Yolanda came to her house. 

But this time, she was really angry. 

“Annabelle? Annabelle, is that you? The young owner of the flower shop next door saw her at this moment. She waved excitedly and quickly squeezed over. 

Annabelle was unwilling to talk to her, but she was pregnant and could not run away, so she only frowned. 

“Is that someone you know?” Mary, who came with her, saw the person running over happily. However, she saw Annabelle frowning and looking like she didn’t want to talk to her. She quickly asked with concern.

“Don’t be afraid, I’m here!” Mary patted Annabelle’s hand and comforted her gently. 

When Annabelle heard this, her expression, which had been dark, softened a little. Indeed, there was nothing to be angry about. As for being afraid… Annabelle glanced at the people who had run up to her. She wasn’t afraid of her in high school, 

not to mention now. 

She just felt annoyed. 

“Annabelle? It’s really you!” The young owner of the flower shop next door came to Annabelle and said kindly as if there was no conflict between them. Her tone was as natural as if she had seen an old friend for many years. “I thought I had the wrong person. What are you doing here? Oh! You’re pregnant? When did you get married? You… you’re about to give birth, right?”

“I see! Do you want to come to my flower shop?” Chloe invited with a smile, “It’s the Beauty next to Flowers and Tea! I own that flower shop. Business was good before, but I don’t know if Flowers and Tea will affect my flower shop after it opens!” 

When Annabelle heard the last sentence, she was furious. What did this mean? “You weren’t even around when we were decorating. Now you’re afraid of us affecting your business?” Annabelle thought to herself. 

Indeed, a leopard never changes its spots. 

Even after such a long time, even if the name was changed, she was still selfish and shameless. 

“There will definitely be an impact!” Annabelle did not argue with her about who came first. It was impossible to reason with such an unreasonable person. “Anyone with a discerning eye can see that your flower shop’s renovation can’t compare to Flowers and Tea. However, don’t worry. The target customers of the two shops are not on the same level. It won’t have much of an impact! They’re taking the high–end route!” 

Though Chloe was very shameless, her expression changed when she heard this. She was thinking, “What did she mean? Is my shop very low–end?” 

“I still have something on, so I have to go!” Annabelle didn’t want to waste any more time with her. After saying this, she prepared to leave. 

“Wait. We haven’t seen each other for so long. It’s rare for us to meet. Let’s have a good chat today!” Chloe said and reached out to pull Annabelle. 

Annabelle was pregnant and was about to give birth in about a month. If she was pulled down by Chloe, the consequences would be terrible. 

Mary, who was standing silently at the side, slapped Chloe. With a bang, the slap stunned Chloe. 

“Madam, you…” 

“Shut up!” Mary knew that Annabelle was not on good terms with Chloe, so she certainly wouldn’t be nice to Chloe. “You don’t look young, yet you still don’t know what to do and what not to do? Is that pregnant woman someone you can pull? If you throw her down, can you bear the responsibility? You’d better ask yourself if you’re qualified before you try to be 

clever!”
