I will state firmly that I disagree with the nature of the PREVENT programme, though I acknowledge that the University of Edinburgh is bound by it. Zularna Munro is an excellent student, an extremely intelligent young woman, and is no danger to anyone. Her religious beliefs are none of my business, and, in my opinion, not the business of the Home Office, or the Ministry for the Regulation of Undesirables. I will engage in no further discussion on this matter.”
