A Brotherhood of Crows.

Chapter 1

It is hard to say how future generations will understand the war between the forces of the Commonwealth and Severance. The fact, however, remains that the war could not have broken out were it not for the reinvigoration of the colonial and imperial powers of the United Kingdom and United States following the end of the Second World War. America’s annexation of South and Latin America, and the United Kingdom’s tightening iron grip over her colonies (which had, until that point, begun to loosen) are direct results of the explosion of thauma technology, the invention of Shockstream Drives, and a sudden surge in populist jingoism. The price we pay for this is a lukewarm war that may never end.”

“Unnatural Science, when put simple, is a form of eschatology. We Unnatural Scientists have examined the Natural Sciences critically, and have seen its demise. We have looked beyond that death, and we have seen hope.”

~An Introduction to the Principles of Unnatural Sciences, Crucius, H, Cambridge University Press.
