Chapter 30
I had gone to see Tori like I had told Dad I would. After meeting up, we eventually went out to this private diner to eat. I was feeling a little hungry since I had barely touched my food earlier. Tori was really surprised to see me when I had showed up. She was practically shocked seeing me and asked me what on earth I was doing Chicago. She never expected to see me show up out of the blue.
She was even more surprise at my new hair. She was so excited about it all. She was ecstatic about me being there with her and my new hair cut. She wanted to know everything that happened, and so there I was, telling her my sad story once
more.
"Ali, I think that maybe you should have probably gave him a chance to explain himself amd his actions before just leaving like that." Tori said to me.
"Tori, I am really tired of being lied to and giving second and third chances now. Christopher has always been an ass and the minute I thought he had truly changed, something like this happened. What more is there to explain? I saw the exchange with my own two eyes. I wasn't going to just stay there and give him a chance to feed me more lies after all that I saw.: I said to her. "I told you I saw them kissing, what more exactly is there to explain?"
"You told me that this Kimberly girl is a bitch who kept pushing up on him. And she even told you that she was going to get him back. So maybe she was he one who went unto him. He told you that there was nothing going on between them right? I believe that maybe you should have given him the benefit of the doubt or something first." Tori replied.
"Give him the benefit of the doubt to do what? To lie and cheat on me once more? No Tori, I'm done. Christopher is a playboy who cares about no one but himself. I am not going to allow him to fool or hurt me anymore. I think that I have had enough of his crap. That is why I left T." I told her. "He has got his company and merger and everything including Kimberly, so he should be fine. Christopher doesn't need me."
"Alli, I think that you have at least talk to him. Have you?" Tori asked.
"No, I haven't. Of course not. I have nothing to say to him." I said to her.
"Have you at least checked your phone? You have had that phone in your hand ever since I saw you today." Tori said to me.
"It is off. I turned it off last night after I had left the party. And I haven't turned it on since. I just don't want to hear any excuses right now." I said to her looking at the phone beside me on the table. "Allison, what if you have important calls coming in? You're going to miss all of that just because you don't want to deal with Christopher? What about work and work related calls?" Tori said to me.
"I have another phone for that. Christopher doesn't know that number." I said to her. "Speaking of work, I am actually considering working from here once more. I don't think I am going back to New York. I have nothing there, so it is not going to make any sense going back there."
"So that is it for you guys? After all you guys been through to give each other a real chance to be together? Are you just going to throw that all away and let that clingy bitch win?" Tori asked me me incredulously.
"Tori, what am I suppose to do? Christopher was obviously messing around with her still. He probably took her home last night. If Christopher was serious about us then he would have never been in his old room, on his birthday night, making out with her. Not after knowing how I feel about her."
"Allison, how do you know that they were making out exactly? You said that you just saw them with their lips together and you turned away immediately. Maybe it wasn't making out. You said she is devious? Well maybe she came on to him, who knows? You probably haven't heard the full story hun." Tori said to me. "Alli, I know that Christopher made you happy for the past month. Please just turn on the phone, give him a chance to explain what happened before making your final decision alright?"
"Tori no. Christopher cheated and I am officially done with him. I don't care for his excuses." I said looking at the phone once more.
"Okay fine." Tori said before reaching across the table and picked up my phone.
"Tori! What are you doing!?" I whisper yell trying not to cause a scene.
"I'm turning it on since you won't." Tori said holding my phone away from me and turning it on.
"Tori no, don't do that." I said trying to reach for it over the table.
"Alli stop, people are starting to stare." Tori smirked.
"I am going to kill you." I said to her.
"Yeah, yeah whatever." Tori waved me off before looking back at my phone. "Woah, you have forty two missed calls and seventy seven messages. You need to check them because somebody obviously misses you or is desperately trying to get to you."
"I don't want to see them." I said brushing my hair aside from out my face. "Why don't you check them of you're that concerned?"
"Maybe you have him worried Ali. Hey, look, incoming call right now." Tori said to me turning the phone screen towards me. "It is from a Tasha, that is not Christopher."
"No, but I'm pretty sure she's calling on behalf of him. Tasha is Christopher's buddy Clint girlfriend." I said to her. "I'm not answering her either. "
"Allison, they are probably extremely worried about you. You just disappeared in the night. I'm sure they must be worried sick." Tori said to me.
"You know, even if Christopher is indeed messing around with that woman he's probably going crazy right now."
"Tori, I don't care. Let him." I said to her.
"You don't mean that." Tori said to me.
"Actually, I do. I don't care anymore, maybe he deserves to go crazy. I just want to forget about Christopher right now and start living my life again." I said to her. "I'm home now, where I really belong."

"Alli you're... look, there is another incoming call." Tori said to me. "It is Tasha again."
"You shouldn't have turned it on. Just let it ring okay?" I sighed.
"She is probably worried about you too Allison. I'm going to let her know that you are fine okay?" Tori said.
"Tori no don't..." I tried to stop her but she already swiped her finger across the screen before bringing it to her ears.
"Hello? Oh hi, it's not Allison. It is her cousin Tori... Yeah, yeah she is okay... Uh huh, she is not near her phone right now, it was dead and she left it at my place. I just charged and turned it on. Yeah, I will tell her... Let him know that she is fine though... Okay... Have a nice day... Bye now." Tori finally hung up. "Why would you do that?" I asked her.
"That was Tasha. She was calling because she was worried. She hasn't heard from you all night and then Christopher said you just disappeared. Apparently, he is going crazy trying to get to you and to find you." Tori said to me. "Guess you just gave him a pretty good guess as to where I am now." I sighed laying my head on the table. "Everything is just so messed up."
"Hey, honey. Get up, come on. We should go." Tori said touching my shoulders. "Let's go home. I think that you might need a girl's night in. I think you need to just forget about everything else for today." "Yeah, I think so too" I sighed.
