Chapter 24
"So you've finally agreed to going on another date with the great Christopher Lee? I take it that your date last week Saturday went well then?" Bryan said to me as we hung out. "What? What makes you say that? Besides, last Saturday was just a business event, that I went with him. It wasn't a date." I said to him.
We were at his office hanging out during lunch time. I haven't seen him since he had helped me picked out the dresses that day when I had I dragged him dress shopping. "Well, I would think that it was a date. It pretty much looked like a date. One that went perfectly well too." Bryan chuckled.
"What?" I asked confused. "Bryan, what are you talking about?"
"Oh," Bryan said getting up off his couch and heading to his desk. He opened the drawer before pulling something out of his drawer and returning with it.
"I've been wanting to show you this since last week. You guys looked pretty good together by the way."
"What is this?" I said picking up the magazine that Bryan put in front of me. "I didn't know you read these."
"Only because I saw my friend and her husband on the cover." Bryan chuckled. "It intrigued me so I bought it."
Like Bryan said, there I was on the cover of the magazine along with Christopher. To anyone else we would indeed look like a normal loving couple based on the photo.
"There is even a nice article inside," Bryan said. "Page four."
I turned the pages to page four and indeed there was an article and a huge catchy headline -Love or Business Deal?.
"CEO of Diamond Lee Technology company Christopher Lee and Daughter of Stanford Diamond-Allison Diamond are married. Is this a real love marriage or does the union between the two have something to do with the merger of the two technology companies?" I read the first sentences of the article out loud before throwing down the magazine.
"I don't have time to read this Bryan, I already know the whole story. I don't need to complete the story to know that it is all thrash."
"True, it was. So about this upcoming date? Is this you giving him a chance for you guys to be the real deal?" Bryan asked.
"I don't know. Christopher can be an ass at times but only time will tell." I replied. "What about you and Tori, are you guys ever going to become a real deal?"
"Only time will tell." Bryan chuckled repeating my earlier line.
"Touché. But Bryan come on, I'm serious." I chuckled as well. "I know you guys are at a little distance but I know you guys had a few moments while she was here, don't you think if you guys wait too long to see if anything can come out of that, that feelings may just blow out?"
"Actually, I was thinking about what you said before about going over there to surprise her." Bryan said surprising me.
"You were?" I smiled.
"Yeah, but I'm going to need your help." Bryan replied.
"Sure. Anything." I nodded.
I couldn't wait to play matchmaker too.

"I'm glad you decided to give me a chance and agree to this date." Christopher said to me as we sat having dinner at a nice classy restaurant.
"Yeah, whatever. I'm just hoping that I'm not going to regret this decision." I replied.
"You won't, I promise." Christopher replied.
"I'd better not." I mumbled.
"Did I tell you how beautiful you look tonight?" Christopher asked with a smile.
"Twice," I replied. "And I'm curious. Am I just beautiful to you tonight?"
"No, of course not. You're always beautiful Allison. You are beautiful everytime." Christopher responded. "And that blue really suits you, blue really bring out your eyes."
"Thanks," I smiled at him. "I'll keep that in mind."
The remainder of the date was surprisingly fun. For once, getting to know Christopher he didn't seem like a complete douchebag. He actually managed to make me laugh a couple times well, as he told me about his time back in college and highschool etc. Turns out that asshole part of Christopher had an on and off switch. He wasn't a complete jerk all the time, although it still didn't mean that I was going to trust him a hundred percent.
After dinner, Christopher took me to this underground aquarium. It was really beautiful and breathtaking to watch the different aquatic animals swimming around. Afterwards, Christopher asked if I was up to go anywhere else but I told him that I rather just call it a night. My feet were starting to hurt, guess I chose the wrong choice of shoes for the night. They were new and really cute but not very much comfortable after a few hours of wearing them.

When Christopher took me home, he decided to walk me to my bedroom door. I told him that was pointless and not necessary but he insisted-- saying that since we didn't get a chance to meet and have a traditional date like normal, this would be a good way to make our date somewhat traditional-walking the girl to her door.
"So we're here." I said pointing to my door. "And like I told you before this really wasn't necessary."
"I know, but I think it was." Christopher replied.
"Anyway, I had a good time tonight. It was a bit surprising but I have to admit I had fun. So thank you." I said to him.
"Yeah, anytime. Maybe we could schedule another date sometime then?" Christopher smiled. "What do you think?"
"I'll think about it." I nodded putting my hand on the doorknob. "Good night Christopher."
"Allison wait," Christopher said putting his hand over mine on the doorknob.
"What?" I asked.
Christopher stepped closer to me before slowly putting his hand on my cheek then leaned in placing a small kiss on my lips before pulling back. "Goodnight Allison." Christopher smiled before heading off.
