Navy

I swam towards my hidden cove near the human beach. My iridescent blue tail flicked powerfully through the water. I peeked my head through the surface of the water and made sure there were no humans around. I burst through the surface, water dripping from my hair and over the blue and purple scales that strategically covered my body. As my waist and hips cleared the water, my tail turned into two, long legs.

I stepped out of the water and onto the sandy beach. I ducked behind a large tree and pulled a backpack out of its trunch. Inside were a pair of shorts and a crop top to cover my now naked body. I quickly got dressed and stuffed the backpack back inside the trunk.

It was late in the afternoon, the sun felt warm and comforting on my skin as I sat down on a fallen tree log in the hidden cove. I had decided that it was time to come clean to my wolf. He had to know the truth if we were going to make a go at it. I pulled my wet hair to the side and rung it out over my shoulder. Closing my eyes, I began to hum.
