Chapter Book 3

Technicians were just about to help Gideon into the simulation seat when he was intercepted by a holographic signal. The man he had come to despise most appeared and immediately greeted him.
Kalk Suiderland had never made contact with him voluntarily so this was a first.
“What do you want, Suiderland?” Gideon’s voice was cold.
“We know where the signal is located, we’re going in.”
“You can’t do that. There are innocent children in that house. If you destroy that place you’ll have blood on your hands.”
“Children have never stopped us before. It’s the sacrifice that counts, you should know that.”
“Stop, Suiderland! You will kill my men, and your men as well as those kids. We have it under control. We’re going in to save those kids and then you can do what you like. Just give us time to do what we need to do.”
“We’ve already begun.”
“I swear, if you so much as harm a hair on any one of my men or those children, I promise I will come for you.”
The signal fizzled out and Gideon snapped his fingers. He was ready to be simulated. He put on his helmet and within seconds disappeared into thin air.
