Chapter 19.2
We only been flying for a couple hours but we followed the path that was given to us and instantly hot humid air left and now we soar through cool crisp air as if we were headed for awakening of some sort.
WE saw past the meadow and now we were near meaning we shoulder settle the dragons low to eventually we found the beach. The weather so much more different then just moment ago, where we soaked up sun and mist. Here it was windy with vibrant patches of green meadows, yet some were patching to brown.
Our dragons settled on top the rocks and we jumped down to the ground. The waves of the sea were monstrous yet they did not wash up towards us, they stayed put by the rocks at sea. The water was dark and grey matching the dull grey stones on the beach. The air around was neutral barely blowing even though seemed to be a storm on the water.
The weather did not make Wolf and I squmish since living by the sea you are bound to have storm or two. Yet Emily tugged herself and Damon hands in pockets nudged closer to Emily but not overbearing her. Thuse Seemed to have glint in his eyes yet no smile on his face.
I scoured with my eyes across the breach and saw in the distance a cave, looking closer I realize it was the cave we saw.
“There” I pointed to it causing every head to turn and without a spoken word we all started froward. Listening to the crashing waves pounding on one another and slowly crawling up the surface again to our feet pounding the small boulders along the beach. The rocks fumbled under our feet shifting.
After a few more feet we arrived at the deep damp mouth of the cave where I stood before and it loomed at my feet. Wolf joined me analyzing it looking for anything that might jump out as his fingers laced with mine.
“I guess this is where the centre of all elements are being held?” of course there was a bit a skepticism in my words. To that Wolf only murmured a reply. I turned to focus on him.
“Are you really ready for this?” he second guessing even though I know he has confidence in me, “Its been a long journey and will you be strong enough?”
I chuckle out of nervousness” who knows, when will we ever be ready for a challenge?”
He knew I had a point as my focus went back to the sound of the crashing waves for a bit. But retreated my focus to the mouth of the cave.
“Ready whenever you are” Emily speaks trying to help my confidence, I give her a smile.
“Here goes nothing.” Say and start forward onto slick slippery dark rocks with a few jagged ends. The deeper I walk the darker it is though only I hear my feet.
“Asema” the voice now distance, I look back to see Wolf, Emily knocking or pounding on a invisible wall while Damon and Thuse press on it to where I stood moments ago. Confused I was about to walk back when Wolf stopped me.
‘It may be a barrier,’ he thought and brought his gaze to the others as if they were trying to get in. He returned his gaze back to mine seeing the uncertainty in mine, ’go, we will be fine,’ he assures me.
I hesitated not moving in my tracks, but he smiled, ’I am sure you are capable of doing this alone…you are strong.’
“Don’t worry Asema” Damon speaks, “We will figure something the meantime. I smile and breath.
“Go girl, Who knows what else will be out of control in the next bit,” Emily urges.
Biting my lip, I give myself one last look letting Wolf warm eye fill me. I break eye contact and turn away returning to the darkness of what this cave has to offer. It was not my journey and a balance I needed to fix. A challenge a obstacle.
Upon being fully emerged in the cave I looked back a second time and the other were no longer behind me. Only jagged rock walls tell me that I was deeply immersed in the cave. I stopped for a second time and listened, there was water dripping on rock creating a echo. The air was still damp though it was still, like earth or any element didn’t exist in this section. I walked further still very aware of my surroundings. To my realization, I could sense no one and it only confirmed I was truly alone. I didn’t know how to feel about that.
Another few steps and it was definitely now pitch black.
Fire, torch, I command. A blazing ball of fire appeared out of my hand lightly illuminating the jagged rock wall around me. That path continued and so I went the direction hearing my own footsteps cluttering again the solid ground. The temperature was neither cold or warm it was comfortable, a neutral feeling. Only to another realization, the air was wary, yet still I could breath.
How far what I away from the cave entrance?
Though I didn’t dwell on that. I turned a corner and suddenly I was thrusted into dark oblivion. Not knowing up from down. My body oddly calm, I was not freaking out as if I expected something like this to happen. I continued to spiral into nothing until it stopped and I was standing on my own two feet.
Before me now I was now staring at either screens or portals with different landscapes. My breathing was steady though my heart beat quicken a bit. I studied each portal as that what I decided on calling them and found they were moving behind the barrier.
A place shapes of clear walls yet coral attached to it like décor. I come to realize that was the Aqua Kingdom, a underwater palace. Concentrating on it for a bit I could see and slightly hear subtle water changes as creatures swam around movement telling me it was alive.
Next portal inside of it had boxes upon boxes piling onto one another, a unique style of palace, seeing it come to life form sound of crackling fire. Though I could feel the heat on my skin. Fotia Kingdom and it saw there in a desert, that was only way I presumed as it was evident fire and heat lived there.
My head moved again and a breeze swept across my face. With a new sense of air was filling my lings. Pillars and clouds presented the image of the palace. Though it laid on the ground and not hovering in the air. Aer Kingdom.
Thing must have been so bad they took precaution.
Finally I turned to the last portal beautiful green was growing bright, the humid green house smell almost overwhelmed my but I could faintly hear crickets and subtle water dripping. Terra Kingdom. I looked at all four portal again and realized they surrounded me in a circle and I was the center.
At first I wasn’t sure what to till a strong voice passed by.
“You are my precious jewel” It slithered.
I spun to see no one there, yet myself was completely calm.
A realization came to me and I felt chills. Whoever was murdering Equitem Draco, knew very much about the in balance and was forcing me to restore it. But why and how?
No time to think as now four pillars surrounded me. A bowl of water, a small tornado, a tree and crackling of fire stood on top of these pillars. In every element I could sense their environment, the growing green, the salty but fresh water, a sudden burst of air to finally the smell of fire in burning ashes. Without any more time observing my body moved. I began touches every element feeling the power in natural basis, breathing and seeing how they lived. Like touching life amongst itself. I finished and returned to the middle. I took a moment not sure what to say or do, but I took a moment and breathed.
“Whatever it is, my instinct will lead me.”
From that I felt no control over my body, rather everything was being controlled by another force. I placed or something else placed my body in midair as intricate design began from the middle forming out below me. Connecting to each pillar, my body weightless, nothingness sense over me. I breathed.
“Earth grow to wonder as the life keeping growing
Water rush away and washed away with a sense of refreshment
Air filled new breath with sense of freshment
Fire gives life while bring in new life.”
Words came out as not my own.
I gapped a little feeling every sense of spirit surround me. The elements began feeling and coursing through my body.
A new sense was beginning, it was me forming something new.
“Spirit, I call upon you to me, join and restore what is lost to now found.”
With those last words, a alight blasted out form my body and outwards to the pillars pulsing passing through hitting the portals. I watched as my body allowed itself to lower down back to solid ground while everything around me began vanishing. I was back in the dark.
I laid on my back not gasping for air but breathing steady as I worried that my air would leave soon. I lifted myself up from eh ground only to be knocked down by a blinding light with electric static as if it was a ball of lighting.
I gasped back but slowly prepped myself up only on my elbows studying the life form above me. I watched as it blinded my eyes though I could still see. My hair only slightly whipping around my face but slowly it settled.
“The balance has been restored by the Light” the source spoke crackling.
“Only tough there will be no balance light and dark.”
I narrowed my eyes, what was it talking about?
“Remember that Light can overcome darkness but not fully destroy as darkness cannot mold light to its will or destroy it, they come together, or they will create chaos with one another.”
My head began to spin. But it didn’t help that I was set back into oblivion only to be surrendered by white fluffy clouds and blue sky.
Beautiful sunshine came down on me and I blinked looking around. Then realized something. I was forcefully chosen by someone to help restore. I am the fifth element that apparent broken away and now restoring balance. Reminding me, of the fairy who spoke of originality, I am the original power of element.
Yet I would never realize how far off that truth really was till the time came.
