Chapter 102 Ethan Became More Emotional

Chapter 102 Ethan Became More Emotional

Suddenly, Ethan standing at the top of the stairs cried loudly.

The maid was so frightened that she stopped moving. Although Layla was not close to Ethan, she was his mother. So, she didn't want him to see bloody scenes and coldly said, "What are you doing? Hurry up and take Ethan away!"

The maids hurriedly rushed toward Ethan. Layla was upset by his sudden cry, so she sullenly urged, "What are you waiting for? Ruin her face."

Suddenly, a maid shouted upstairs, "Oh my God! Mr. Ethan has a lot of small red spots on his body and face. It must be an allergy."

Layla impatiently ordered, "Call the doctor!"

She wanted to deal with Avery more than take care of Ethan. After all, it was a once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity.

Avery looked at her in disbelief and said, "Isn't he your son? He's so young. When he cries badly, you should hold him in your arms and coax him!"

Layla mockingly smiled, "If you had ruined your face just now, I would have gone over to comfort him."

Hearing Ethan crying miserably upstairs, Avery felt heartbroken. He was not her child, but she somehow cared for him very much. Instinct drove her to drop the knife and go to hug him. Ethan also burst out with amazing strength and broke free from the maid's grip.

"Mr. Ethan!"

The maid's horrified voice echoed through the house when Ethan fell to the ground and rolled down the stairs. Fortunately, Avery ran fast enough and instantly held him in her arms. Then, she found his flushed face full of red spots, snot, and tears.

Ethan threw himself into her arms and shouted, "Mom!"

The picture of a loving mother and a filial son hurt Layla's feelings, so she shouted in anger, "Avery, don't try to stall for time. If you don't want to do it, I will help you."

After she winked at two maids, they approached Avery. And another maid tried to snatch Ethan from her arms.

Despite the chaos, Layla sat on the sofa without moving because her manicure was not done yet.

Seeing this, Avery realized not everyone deserved to be a mother. The situation was chaotic, but Layla didn't come to comfort her son. In her heart, Ethan was less important than her toenails, let alone Avery's face. Avery felt sympathetic to Ethan and understood why he clung to her so much.

Ethan became more emotional and held her tightly with both hands. Seeing this, Avery had no reason to let go. As the maids pushed and pulled her, she rolled down the stairs with Ethan in her arms. This accident reminded her of the child she had failed to save in the sea, so she protected Ethan with her arms and tried to withstand all hits with her body.

After they rolled down the stairs, she smiled at the frightened child and said, "Don't be afraid. I will protect you."

Ethan looked at her in a daze and even forgot to cry.

Layla did not rush over to check on him but continued to urge, "Cut her face right now."

A maid approached Avery with a knife and said, "I'm sorry, Miss Adams."

No one here dared to offend the future hostess of the Hill Group, so they must obey her orders.

After rolling down the stairs, Avery felt dizzy and weak, so she could not stand up and could only helplessly watch the blade approaching her.

When the maid raised the knife, a familiar voice suddenly roared, "Stop!"
