Chapter 284: Exposing the bitch for what she really is
An hour or so later, the door to the operating theatre opened.
Eloise Thompson was pushed out.
Hector Rogers and Rupert Rogers rushed to meet them.
"Doctor, how is my wife?" Hector Rogers spoke with an urgency that had never been seen before.
"He was saved, the bullet was only three centimetres away from his heart, that's lucky! We'll have to observe him for a few days and get well. You must be very careful when looking after him, and he must not touch water." Hector Rogers was relieved to hear the doctor's words, but his brow was still furrowed and his eyes were filled with undisguised pain.
Eloise Thompson was admitted to the ward as the anaesthetic had not yet worn off and the man was still unconscious.
"Brother, apart from the one who escaped, several of the other kidnappers have been arrested and brought to justice."
Rupert Rogers took a call and after listening to the person on the other end, he took the phone down to report back to Hector Rogers. "Escaped?" Hector Rogers frowned.
"The one who injured his sister-in-law."
Hector Rogers narrowed his eyes with a hint of ruthlessness, "Tell the police to get that man, no matter what."
It's not that easy to run when you've hurt someone.
Rupert Rogers nodded, "Understood."
"Daddy."
Hector Rogers bowed his head.
"When is Mummy going to wake up?" Solomon asked with red eyes.
"Soon." Hector Rogers stroked his head and then looked over at Eloise Thompson on the bed, his eyes dark and deep, "Your mummy will be waking up soon." This was also being said for his own benefit.
There was not a trace of blood on her face and he still had palpitations when he recalled the image of her being shot.
At the time, if he and the police hadn't arrived in time, I shudder to think what would have happened to her and Solomon. But, in any case, she is finally back.
This time, he would never let her get away again.
Watching the three of them as a family, Rupert Rogers touched his nose and quietly withdrew to leave them space.
Rupert Rogers closed the door softly behind him and suddenly smiled; his brother's family was reunited of sorts. So envious.
It would be nice if he could settle down too.
The thought had only just passed through his mind when Rupert Rogers immediately sobered up and raised his hand to slap his cheek.
Is he out of his mind?
What a terrible thought to have!
He hasn't had enough fun yet and doesn't want to settle down.
He winced, turned his head to look at the closed door and hurriedly left in a hurry.
If you stay any longer, you will really suffer.
...
"What? That bitch is back?"
Reeva Lawson stood up in excitement, disbelief written all over her exquisitely made-up face.
Her voice was not too loud and drew the attention of the other customers in the coffee shop.
Magen Gillim looked around at the stares being thrown his way, he reached out and pulled Reeva Lawson, "Calm down, people are watching."
Reeva Lawson then realised she was getting too excited and hurriedly sat down.
"What's going on?"
Fearing that she might draw further attention to herself, Reeva Lawson deliberately kept her voice down.
"I'm not sure of the details. I only know that this time she saved the child and was injured."
"How's that injury?"
"Nothing major, just a normal gunshot wound."
As soon as Magen Gillim had finished speaking, Reeva Lawson was heard to say viciously, "How does she get so lucky every time? How come they don't beat her to death?" Hearing this, Magen Gillim was shocked and stared at her in some disbelief.
How could such vicious words come out of her mouth when she is obviously so beautiful?
Seeing him look like he'd seen a ghost, Reeva Lawson couldn't help but grimace and snort, "What? Do you think I'm ugly and vicious?"
Magen Gillim snapped back and hastily denied it, "No. Why would I think that?"
"Is that so?" Reeva Lawson sneered, "It doesn't matter if it feels that way, I'm just an annoying person anyway."
"What makes you think that?" Magen Gillim frowned hard.
"Wouldn't you?" Reeva Lawson had a mocking look on her brow, "If I wasn't annoying, how could Hector Rogers dislike me in favour of that bitch who is less than me in everything?" "That's because he doesn't have an eye for it." Magen Gillim said, "Reeva, in my mind there is no one like you."
He's made it so obvious that she should know his heart.
Unfortunately, Reeva Lawson, who was furious, wasn't even listening to him, "Magen Gillim, tell me everything you know."
A flicker of loss in Magen Gillim's eyes, "I've said it all."
Reeva Lawson frowned, "No more?"
"Nope."
Reeva Lawson looked at him for a moment, then got up, "Since there is nothing else, I will go first."
"Reeva," Magen Gillim said, hastily pulling her back.
"Is there anything else?" Reeva Lawson asked in an indifferent tone as she looked at him askance.
"I ..." Magen Gillim didn't want to let her go back so soon and thought about it, so he asked, "What do you want to do next?"
What do you want to do next?
Reeva Lawson frowned and said truthfully, "I don't know."
It was thought that Eloise Thompson would not return after leaving, but now she has not only returned, but has saved Solomon, so Matriarch Godbold will surely have a change of heart. Wait!
Reeva Lawson suddenly thought of something wrong and hurriedly sat down, staring at Magen Gillim, "Can you repeat the situation?" "Hmm?"
Magen Gillim didn't react for a moment.
"It's how Eloise Thompson saved Solomon."
"So that's what this is about." Magen Gillim dawned on her and whirled around to tell her exactly what he knew.
Reeva Lawson grimaced as she listened, "I knew this wasn't going to be easy."
"What do you mean?" Magen Gillim asked.
"I was just wondering how it could be such a coincidence that Solomon was kidnapped and she came back to save the day."
Magen Gillim caught on, "You mean to say it was all self-directed by Eloise Thompson?"
"Exactly. Otherwise it wouldn't be such a coincidence?"
"Not cold, I guess." Although she didn't know Eloise Thompson well, she didn't seem like such a scheming person.
"How is that impossible?" Reeva Lawson narrowed her eyes and analyzed, "There is no way the Rogers family would accept her when her past is so bad. In order to get in with the Rogers family, she would have to change the way the Rogers family people see her."
"So she took the desperate step of getting someone to kidnap Solomon and rescue him herself, so that the Rogers family would be grateful and change their minds about her."
"She was literally shot, or twice, and no other man could have taken it, did she have to go to this extent?"
Magen Gillim still doesn't believe Eloise Thompson would do such a thing.
"Why isn't that necessary? She's a greedy bitch, there's nothing she can't do."
Reeva Lawson gritted her teeth and spoke with contempt for Eloise Thompson.
Magen Gillim still didn't think Eloise Thompson was that kind of person, but was afraid of upsetting her by saying so, so he could only advise carefully, "Whether it's what you think it is or not, this has nothing to do with you." "Nothing to do with me?" Reeva Lawson sneered, "Anything she's done since that bitch stole Hector has been my business."
Magen Gillim frowned, "What do you want to do?"
"Expose that bitch for what she is."
