Alpha Dominic

Bethany's POV

He came back looking so angry. They had missed Ashford and now the Alphas are missing. Yeah, you heard me, the Alphas are missing, not all the Alphas though, but eighty percent of the Alphas are nowhere to be found. They just picked up their things and ran away, leaving their families behind. When Dominic and his boys realize that king Ashford has left his previous location, again. Dominic knew that his next course of action would be to use the Alphas against him so they drove back to the Alphas lodge to get them all out and that was when it was discovered that the Alphas have left the lodge.

He still isn't sure if the Alphas we're working with the moles from the castle, but since that mission has been canceled by Dominic, it simply means that the Alphas have no weapons or ammunition with them, not unless they have a horde of weapons hidden somewhere on the Alphas lodge. The funniest part of this news is that my father happens to be one of the Alphas that ran away. Yeah, he is still their leader and he abandoned my mom and my sister and fled away with his compatriots.

I was with the girls when they came back to the castle. Harriet and I rushed down to the hospital when we got the news that Ciara has finally woken up, we got there and saw that she had truly woken up, but she wasn't saying anything to anyone. She simply lay on the bed and stared into thin air, acting like a complete lunatic. Sometimes, a drop of tears slides down her cheeks, but she still wasn't talking to anyone. Despite the fact that she keeps acting numb and lifeless, we still stayed in her room, talking and chatting with her. We spoke about a lot of things, laughing and teasing each other, making the room more lively. I would have stayed with her all day, but Dominic came to get me from the hospital room to break the news to me. “What about my mom and my sister, will they be safe at the Alphas lodge?” I asked him after he told me of the Alphas.

“I left the guys there, they are getting ready to be moved down here it may take a few days, but we are relocating everyone down here.” He replied. I couldn't be more happier, this is what I have always wanted, I will feel better if I know that they are safe in this castle.

“Babe, I know I said we are going to talk about you when I get back, but I can't do that right now. I know you would say that I am using you as bait or you may think that I don't think about your feelings, but I need you to know that I wouldn't be doing this if I had any other choice. Please, my love, I need you to try and reach out to your father, I want to see if I can trace the call and find out their location. I know he is your father, but you need to know that he is a dangerous man right now, he could hurt a lot of people. For all I know he could be driving right now to meet up with King Ashford, I need to get a location I need to know where he is right now. He has leverage, Beth, he took two Alphas, including Harriet’s father. I don't know wha he wants to do with them, but you need to call him right now. Harriet's father is more like a father to me, I can't let anything happen to him, I need to get him back right now.”

“Oh my God, what happened to my father?” Harriet muttered behind us, making us turn in her direction. We both had no idea that she was standing behind us, I guess he never wanted her to find out yet, that was why he pulled me out of there. Carl and Harriet were supposed to go over there and bring everyone over, she had already prepared a room for her father and now he is missing. I walked over to her and pulled her in for a hug, whispering nice words to her, assuring her that we are going to get him back.

“Where the hell is Tyler, he should be hacking into something, he should be planting a bug or doing something to find him, where is Carl, we need to do something. We can't just wait around for them to show up, I can take some warriors and go into town, I can track him down, I can, 'm mean we can... we can... I can,” she stammered in tears.

“Don't do that to yourself, Harriet. You are a warrior, you know how things work here. We can't just pack up and go into town to search for them, we could be walking right into a trap. We need to be sure of their location before we go out there and we need to be well prepared because we have no idea what they could be planning. I promise you, your father will be okay and we are going to get him back, but you have to let me handle it, you need to let us don't the right way. He needs him alive, he won't kill him and he won't hurt him because she needs him as leverage against me. We would get him back, I promise.” Dominic told her calmly, pulling her for a big as well

Dominic went back in there to get information from Bianca and that bastard that hurt Ciara. He stayed there for a few hours and we kept hearing their screams of pain as he tortured them for information. But when he finally came out, he shook his head negatively, telling us that he wasn't able to get anything from them. We all went to Dominic's office to try out his plan. Tyler was ready with his equipment, but I couldn't reach him, I mean, I called and called but he wasn't taking my calls. I also tried calling king Ashford but he wasn't picking up as well. I guess he now knows that I am not on his side, he would never forgive me for betraying him, so I have to be careful or I'll fall into one of his traps.

Dominic stepped out for a bit and he came back a few minutes later. I could see him whispering with Tyler and I know that something is going on and he doesn't want Harriet and I to know about it. I hugged Harriet, but she wouldn't have it. She decided to be brave and tough so she just sat there like a zombie and waited for Dominic to give his instructions. Gosh, it's 50 hard to be a warrior. I can imagine what she would be going through right now. A part of her wants to yell and scream in anger, she wants to run out there and search for her father, but she can't do it because she would be defying the order of a king and that is unacceptable for a general. Gosh, it is so annoying and frustrating at the same time.

“What is going on, and please don't lie to me, I see you whispering to Tyler. I know that you are up to something, so spill it out already." I told him through our mind link.

“I got something from Bianca and Fabius. Actually, the information came from Fabius because he seems to be the head of this operation, he seems to know more about king Ashford than Bianca and he gave me directions to some of King Ashford’s secret hideouts in my territory. I think I know where they could be heading, but I don't want to raise Harriet's hopes and tha is why I lied to you two. I've sent the guys over there to find out if my hunch is correct. I've sent some reinforcement because I don't want a***+***+*s. I'm hoping they find him soon, I can't bear it if anything happens to him, I'm so tired of playing this damn game with Ashford, it's becoming more frustrating, every damn day Beth, you have no f*****g idea.” He complained through our mind link, keeping his eyes fixed on mine.

Gosh, I'm such an i***t. I am just noticing for the first time that Dominic has some frown lines on his face and his eyes have huge bags underneath them. He is so stressed by all this and I never paid attention to him, I only pay more attention to my friends because I always think that he is too strong to break down. He may be tough and strong but he is still a man, he still needs his woman by his side sometimes, I mean, that is why the moon goddess gave us mates, right?

“I'l be right back” I told everyone, then I went out of Dominic's office and I dialed Alaina and asked her to come to Dominic’ office, I could have mind-linked her, but Dominic hasn't welcomed me into the pack yet, he still doesn't want anyone to kno that we are mated, so I have to respect his wishes and go along with his plans until he is ready to tell everyone about us. I went back into the office and I whispered to Harriet telling her that I'm going to leave her with Alaina for some minutes because I need to check up on my mom and my sister and know if they are okay. I know it is not right for me to leave her at this moment, but I just have to. Dominic needs me, I need to be there for him as well. I've also contributed to his heartache and worries, the least I can do is to ease his stress a little, that is why I am his woman, that is why I am his mate.

When Alaina arrived, I told her to stay with Harriet and jeep her company for a little while. Harriet tried to reject my offer, but I didn't give her a chance to say no. I left Alaina with her and stepped out of the office, going up to our room,

“Come up, my love. I need you." I told him through our mind link as I walked to the room.
