After I Let Go My Alpha He Knelt in Regret

Chapter In Regret Novel 143

Chapter 127

Alice flinched, turning to see the head maid, a middle-aged woman in a servant's uniform, eyeing her with disapproval. "You're not the Alpha's daughter anymore," the maid sneered. "As an Omega, you should learn to do your work properly."

Alice's face turned crimson, but she bit her tongue, unable to retaliate. Once, she had looked down on the Omegas, but now she found herself working beneath them, her status reduced to nothing.

As soon as the maid left, Alice pulled out her phone, flipping through the photos stored in her album. They were all pictures she had secretly taken of Lorik. One by one, she gazed at his handsome face, her heart aching with each swipe. Finally, she picked her favorite picture and set it as her phone's wallpaper, her obsession growing.

Later, at dinner, the pack had prepared a lavish meal. As I sat down, I noticed the servant pouring wine at the table was none other than Alice. She paid me no attention, focusing entirely on Lorik, making a show of leaning toward him, her body brushing against him as she poured the wine.

I watched the whole thing silently, my expression calm. I wanted to see how Lorik would handle this mess on his own.

HiLorik shifted uncomfortably in his seat as Alice leaned in too close, deliberately brushing against him. His expression tightened with clear impatience, and he shifted to the opposite side. "Are you incapable of standing up straight?" he snapped, his tone cold and biting. Alice blinked, startled, her face taking on a pitiful look. "Alpha, I was just trying to pour you a drink. Her voice was soft, as though she were hurt by his reaction. With that, she clumsily lifted the wine bottle, pretending to concentrate, but her hand trembled, spilling wine onto Lorik's expensive suit.

"Oh no!" she gasped, her eyes wide with faux innocence. Without thinking, she reached out to touch his suit, patting his chest as if to clean the stain.

Lorik's patience finally snapped. His expression darkened, and he pushed her away roughly. Alice, caught off guard, stumbled backward and landed on the floor with a thud. She looked up at him, eyes wide in shock and fear, as if expecting him to explode in anger. But Lorik did something unexpected. Instead of shouting at her, he calmly called for the head maid.

When the maid arrived and saw the scene-Alice on the floor, Lorik with wine stains on his suit-she didn't need an explanation.

"I'm terribly sorry, Alpha," the maid apologized hurriedly, bowing slightly. "I will ensure that Alice is properly disciplined. She's still....adjusting, to being an Omega."

Alice, however, wasn't about to let the situation pass without making a scene. Her face flushed with anger as she scrambled to her feet, glaring at everyone around her, "I'm not an OMEGA! I never with her" she screamed, her voice trembling with outrage. "This is all because of that wretched Shirley! She's the one who's ruining my life, making me work like this just to humiliate me!"

The head maid looked horrified and immediately turned to hush Alice, "You will not speak to the Luna like that! Apologize now!"

But instead of reacting harshly, I laughed, shaking my head at Alice's outburst. "Do you really think 1 set this up to insult you?" I asked, my voice calm yet filled with amusement,

Alice glared at me, her fists clenched. "Isn't it? Who else would?"

leaned back in my chair, still smiling. "Actually, this job is something Murphys and Shakira begged me to arrange for you. They didn't want you wandering around, getting into trouble." Alice's eyes widened, and she stared at me incredulously. "That's not true. They would never..

"Oh, it is true," I interrupted, my tone sharp now. "You have a terrible reputation for bullying OMEGAS in the pack, and after the mess you and your parents made of the Ghost Pack, most werewolves would rather see you dead than employed. At least here, you're safe. And you're paid well, which is more than enough to live on, even if it won't cover your parents' debts."

Alice fell silent, her face pale. I could tell my words were sinking in. She wasn't smart, but she knew better than to argue when the truth was laid bare. I let the silence stretch for a moment before adding, "If you don't like it, you're free to leave whenever you want." She didn't reply, just stood there, clearly seething but too afraid to act out any further.

I sighed softly, standing up from my seat. "If you want to keep this job, Alice, there are a few things

you'll need to do. First, delete all the pictures on your phone."

Alice flushed deep red, her eyes widening with embarrassment. "How... how did you know?"
